I was VERY pleased with this place! My boyfriend and I showed up here with our four dogs and the staff didn't even blink! They brought out a disposable pie tin full of water for them! So awesome! Okay, but that's not why I rated it 5 stars, because I have to assume most people are not crazy dog lovers like I am. Five stars for the perfect salsa - mild, but not bland, appetizer of spicy guacamole, and an excellent chicken chimichanga dinner plate! I was very impressed with the beautiful patio, the staff, the extensive menu, quick delivery of food (less than ten minutes!), and the quality of the food we received. Will be back the next time I'm in this area!

First off let me say, I'm not a fan of Mexican food but my family was craving this from our road trip. Pros: *The place was not very packed so seating was comfortable. They also provide seating outside in the patio. *They were quick on getting our drinks and orders. *Everyone was very friendly. Here's a little bit of a mixed review. The Enchiladas Supreme was basically just a tortilla with the meat and toppings thrown on top of it. Not very appetizing at sight. Regardless of presentation, it was good. The Twin Burrito was also delicious! The portions were big and they definitely fill you up. We had at least 5 to-go boxes. Which is good. We had something to munch on down the road. Cons: *The only negative things I really have to say is concerning the chicken tenders. The fries were good. Well seasoned. The chicken on the other hand, was too dry. *The atmosphere was pretty dim and vacant. *The restrooms were a little too small. Overall, I would say Mi Patio Mexican Restaurant is worth a try. (Just not the chicken.)

I know it's a Mexican restaurant, but don't let anyone order the chicken fingers. Dry, poorly seasoned and served with old curly fries. Not nice. When asked for some ranch (they don't give you any dipping sauce), they gave us a bottle of Hidden Valley Salad Dressing. Huh?! Queso is nice, though. Carnita was dry and not very flavorful. I would recommend going to La Carreta over Mi Patio, any day.

Ok food. Not authentic at all. A large commercial place. Service was good, food was ok. Not worth going to.

I prefer Mi Patio to the other Mexican restaurant in town. The service is always fast and friendly and the food is consistently good. Also, they handled our very large crowd of 30 very well and in a timely manner. Reasonably priced too!

I have been coming to this restraint for the past several years, in fact since they opened. We visit about once or twice a month. The restaurant's atmosphere is friendly and open, with a large open floor plan. It can get a bit loud during peek hours. There is also outdoor seating, on a bricked patio, which is covered. Similar to a backyard patio equipped with a waterfall and fountain, hints the name "Mi Patio's" or my backyard. The décor is laid out in bright colors, accented with metallic Hispanic influenced pieces, overall pretty simple. The bright colors gave a warm and welcome feeling. The hostess is usually ready and willing to seat your party of 2 or 20 quickly. The servers are great, always polite and prompt. The servers seam to work in concert, making a group effect to see to your needs. An all around come as you are place. For those of you how are thermally challenged, you may want to bring a sweater. The air conditioning and plethora of ceiling fans are geared towards keeping the peek hour patrons cool as that occupy many of the numerous tables. And if you are one, who tens to be cold in well cooled places, bring an extra sweater. But for the rest of us, a cool breeze and a large glass of ice cold sweet tea is just what I look forward to, when enjoying some of my favored spicy entrée. Speaking of food! Growing up in Houston, I had the opportunity to experience a wide range of Mexican and Latin restraints. Being accustomed to particular style of Mexican food, I really enjoy the quality, arrangement and flavor the food served here. I have yet eat any food here that I didn't like. In my opinion, all of the good Mexican restraints serve an endless supply of chips and salsa. Here the chips usually come out hot, the salsa is thick and mild, with a rich fresh tomato taste. The chili con queso is really thick, but not too spicy, so that kids will enjoy it as much. Even the item on the kids menu are pretty good. The burgers on the kids meal, come with a beef patty, which is larger than any whooper or quarter pounded I ever had. Finally the price, for the service, great quality food and nice atmosphere, this place is inexpensive.

This town has two Mexican restaurants and this is the one you want to find yourself at! Lots of good Texmex options but the Mesquite Salad and "Mexican Hamburger" are surprising favs!

Mi Patio is a local Mexican Restaurant that serves your traditional American/Mexican food. Since I am not commenting on a specific visit - I have eaten here about 10 times in the past 4 years - I can just say that the food has been good. Not great. Not unusual, just good food at a reasonable price. Since I am going to save my 5 stars for great food, I am going to give this one a 3. I will add specific comments based on future visits.

Loud and slow service even though a ton of servers were standing around. Food wasn't great. I have had better Mexican food at El Toritto.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
