These are the best po-boys in the Cenla area. Lots of meat in these po-boys. This is the place to go. You will not be disappointed.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Cenla. The Super Cajun is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Certainly worth the visit to them. I don't know if they do anymore, but when I lived there, they delivered! Much better thing to have delivered instead of pizza. All of the sandwiches I've had are delicios, but the Super Cajun is certainly the best.

Great mom-and-pop po-boy shop. I don't know that I'm the best person to write a review - I've never had one of their meat po-boys. But I've heard they're yummy. I know first-hand that the veggie and egg salad ones are very good. The fact they deliver rocks my world. My only other delivery choice in this small town is pizza.

Wonderful poboys. Our office eats here pretty often. They are home style and great Cajun sandwiches. They also make homemade chips. Sooo good. Tuna salad AMAZING! Owners and staff are wonderful.

This rating is for breakfast only. Breakfast is new to PoBoy Express. Very long wait....didn't get all my order, even after reminding them. Then the service was, let's just say, left wanting. I've asked if they are new owners and they wouldn't give me a straight answer.... The taste of food was not something I'd go back for. I had biscuits with sausage gravy.

This place is awesome. My wife and I used to go here as date night as we would drop off our lil girl at Vickie's Dance Studio and enjoy a nice dinner. Chicken Klucker is her favorite and I love the roast beef poboy but I have had plenty of variety off this large menu. I love the homemade chips as well.

With no other real competition in express poboy shops, they are the best around. However, when compared to New Orleans or Louis iana southern style - No comparison! .

I absolutely love the turkey cajun po-boy! The service is always quick and very friendly!

Was on my way to New Orleans and stopped on this sandwich joint on the way there. She ordered the shrimp po boy and I ordered the cajun po boy. The cajun is a take on the philly cheese steak. It's filled with small cut bits of meat accompanied by olives, lettuce and a tomato. Sandwich failed to deliver. It was lacking meat. It needed double the amount of meat to even compare to a philly cheese steak. The shrimp po boy was more satisfying. It was fried but needed seasoning. Bread was a bit thicker than i would like it. Also harder to chew. Expected a softer bread. Wouldn't come back again. Place definately is a divey place and in the middle of the town.

I think the poboys are great. It's like they put the ingredients in a blender, then onto the sandwich. Makes it taste awesome.

This was such a horrible experience I would've given it zero stars if possible. After trying to call for thirty minutes with no one answering, we decided to drive by to see if it was open. Yes, open and not even busy. We drove up to the window and after finally taking our order and our money with the order (we would've left had it not been for that) we asked how long would it take as we could return redbox...leer response it's probably going to be a FEW minutes and shut the window. We waited, and cars drive around us. We waited some more and more cars drove around us. At least four cars drove away...which totaled more than the number of customers they had inside. Quality of the sandwiches, shrimp pony was frozen pieced together over fried under seasoned shrimp and the end of a tomato and when asked if he had tarter sauce they gave packs not real tarter sauce. Threw away. Chicken bacon ranch for my son....chicken was chopped and couldn't even chew the pieces...tasted processed and frozen them cooked to death on a flat top?? We couldn't even press the chicken between our fingers...impossible to chew. Thrown away. I don't know how this place is staying in business. We saw the employee walk across the street to the little store to buy ketchup. It was a joke. I have never written a review this bad. I've never had food or service this bad.

Thumbs DOWN. Visiting parents... Food was well over a hour last night. We called and the woman who answered tells us the driver was in a minor wreck...had a warrant...and was arrested. My sad little po-boy had to sit through a wreck and an arrest! Aside from that drama...by the time the food actually got here, it was soggy and COLD. No refund, no new sandwiches..NOTHING was offered. And again, ASIDE from all of that...worst po-boys EVER. Big bread...tons of nasty shredded lettuce...a big glob of mayo...And about 1 thin slice of meat. Basically I had a mayo/lettuce sandwich. My poor belly went to bed hungry, wah!!

Good, fresh, tasty, fast...all the things you want for a weekday lunch. Had the Fried Oyster PO-Boy. Also, a pretty good value, but not to be confused with "fast food".

If I could give them a zero, I would. I have no idea where the other people leaving these reviews ate, but it certainly could not have been the place where I just picked up a sandwich. I've had some bad meals before but this is absolutely the most disappointing meal I've had in my lifetime. I'm in town b/c my future mother & father in law live in Pineville. I ordered a Ragin Cajun & there couldn't have been one solid ounce of meat on the sandwich. I'm not typically a negative review person but I feel like people should know about the absolute lack of commitment these people had to my entire experience. I called asking if there was a menu online & the girl said "Yeah" I asked if it was on the website & the girl repeated her "Yeah". Got onto the site for Poboy express & picked a sandwich, called back to order a muffuletta to have her respond "We don't have that" I told her it was on the website but I'd call back after picking another. Called back to order & a man picked up; I told him about it all & he says "We don't have a website" All of that said, neither of the sandwiches ordered were worth eating & obviously I'll never return. This location was across from Harlow's donuts & I can't say enough about how you shouldn't eat there.

This joint falls into the "classic dive" category...the type of place where you are just a little bit fearful, but you know that the food will be great! I had the shrimp po-boy and it was fantastic. I would have loved to have had some shrimp sauce. They may have had some in the back, but I didn't ask and it wasnt' readily avaiable. The area where the sauces and spices was not as clean as it should have been.

This place is on my short list of places to go when I want to po-boy. Their turkey special is absolutely delicious......consistently good, and the people are always friendly. The Po-Boy express has Subway beat in my opinion.

I had heard about how roast beef and gravy po boys are a specialty in New Orleans and was happy to see them on the menu here. Unfortunately, the sandwich, though tasty, seemed like something I could have made at home. The meat was deli slices of roast beef. They tasted fine, but I guess I was hoping for homemade roast beef. The roll was plenty big, but the amount of meat had to be spread out along the whole roll, so there weren't super meaty bites in any one place throughout the sandwich. And with the gravy in there, it was super messy and the meat and cheese kept sliding out of the roll. When I asked about the homemade chips on the menu, the girl behind the counter gave me an order and didn't charge me for them. I thought that was awfully nice of her. When I finished and tried to pay the guy in the kitchen for the chips, he told me not to worry about them. The chips were certainly hot and crispy, but had been fried at least twice and were quite oily. I'm guessing they're made ahead of time and then deep-fried again to order to give them a "just out of the frier" taste. I love deep-fried food, but these were a little too oily for even me. The dining room itself was almost empty, dimly lit and a bit on the depressing side. The restroom was sad. If the place had been packed with locals, it might have been easier to tune out the dismal surroundings, but atmosphere is not this joint's strong point. I won't be back, but I'll give them three starts for filling me up and giving me free chips.

I looked all over Alexandria for a po-boy shop, for some reason they are very hard to find in middle LA. I stopped by Po-boy Express and picked up "Super Cajun" to go. I was working a midnight to 10am shift so I picked the po-boy up at about 6:30 pm and didn't have a chance to eat until around 4 or 5 am. The sandwich held up well and was still very tasty. I think they have about 40 different po-boys. I would like to have returned and tried the fried shrimp, maybe next time. If your looking for a really good po-boy and are in the area this is the place to go.
