Soooo, today is the fourth day in a row that I have enjoyed catfish from Paradise. If you have not been here you need to try it out. They now, on request, will cut your fillet into two strips. This makes them crispy and done all the way through. If you are going to get an order to go, you should call ahead 20-30 minutes. If they are busy with In house customers, your to go order may take a little while, but it is worth the wait!!!! Buddy C.

The cashier was very friendly. This is a very family-friendly place. There's fun décor with a fish theme (it is a catfish place!). There's plenty of seating. Tables are topped with a bucket of peanuts. I ordered to go. The food seemed salty to me; however, other reviewers loved the food, so maybe it's me. I did enjoy the fried oysters and I LOVED the hushpuppy. Sadly, I was expecting at least two, because the menu indicated the meal was to come with hushpuppies, as in plural, if I am not mistaken. Unfortunately, I received one lonely hushpuppy. :( There was plenty of parking. This place must be popular, because they were very busy. Food arrived in a timely manner.

Great catfish and shrimp. One of my favorite places to eat in the Alexandria area. The location in Ball is better than the one on Alexandria.

Another excellent local lunch find! I chose to be a complete piglet and get the deep fried combo plate, which included catfish, shrimp, oysters and crab, with fries, hushpuppies and a trip to the basic salad bar. (I may have left a deep fried crustacean off the list...). Loved everything, but especially the crab (deviled crab inside the crab body shell, breaded and deep fried) and shrimp. The oysters were tender enough to bite in half. Tasty, thin cornmeal batter. Pickles and pickled okra from the salad bar cut the richness of the fried things. Very casual interior. Clean, small bathroom. Friendly staff.

The catfish is excellent , battered lightly with large portions. If you find yourself with too much left over great to take home and reheat in you oven. My have a different special for lunch every day.
