The food was very good. I had the chicken/gyro combo. However I had to deduct a star because the waiter insisted that pineville city water isn't fit to drink and if I wanted water it would cost (selling bottled water). This is silly because he could get water from the coke machine and not have to charge a bit.

Excellent food and very comfortable enviroment.

Great hidden gem as you pass fast food, Cajun, and BBQ restaurants. The falafel is great

Excellent hidden gem. Gave it 5 rather than 4.5 due to the service. My wife has a gluten allergy, and they were able to quickly accommodate our gluten-free request. Had the standard fare - chicken shawarma. Chicken was above average, but their rice and tea were excellent.

While I enjoyed the food during my first experience, the management has changed. The menu looks exactly the same as it did on my first visit. However, the food is nowhere close to my last experience. The portion size was substantially smaller and it wasn't remotely close to the menu description, but the price was the same. To make a long story short, I sent my food back and requested that they cancel my order as I no longer wanted to eat. The manager came out and was extremely passive-aggressive in his attempt to "make things right". I was so insulted that I left the food on the table and walked out. I will never return to this restaurant again.

I've been going there for a few months. I've had most of the menu, not all, and am pleased with the food and service. They make a point to make me welcome and treat me like family. (I'm a bachelor and often dine alone. Funny how that often makes a difference.) I take my reading material, and usually a computer to play on. They have smoking WiFi. I'm never rushed and have always had a good experience. Food is good, portions are great, and sometimes I cannot finish. This is a welcomed place among fast food and same-ol-menu places. Wish it could be a bit cheaper, but rising prices is something everyone deals with. If you've never had Mideastern or Mediterranean, open your mind and try it once - at this place. They also have good hot tea, steak, and tilapia. And while I'm there, several people come in for take out. As for atmosphere - they have Mideastern music videos going ALL the time. I don't mind, but if you're going to be there a while, it may get on your nerves. It's very different than American pop. My only real negative is the coffee. It tastes great, but the chef has a special process to make it that takes way too long.

First time here. The food was great. Had the Mazza starter sampler, Jerusalem Shrimp, Gyro Salad, and Eggplant Parmesan. Service was spot on. It is somewhat like a diner atmosphere with exposed kitchen and friendly chef.

The food here's actually quite good, and while the prices are lofty, the quality is not sacrificed. 4.5 outta five stars on the food and 3.5 stars on service. The guy is very nice and gregarious while the woman more brusque and pointed. No less, its certainly worth a visit. For a town so allergic to variety, this place is a breath of fresh air.

Eat here at the advise of my friend micah. Really enjoyed my baba ganoosh small portion but very tasty. I would order again . it was $ 6.50. Also had a chicken schwarma sandwich. Overall meat was dry ( it was late in the evening so i will give them another try on that one ) came with a few choices as a side i chose lentil soup. That was an excellent cup of soup. Sandwich n side was $9.50. So for the flavor an quality it was ok . portion sizes i thought that made the prices very high to me. I would return. Would like to try the mousaka

Been there several times. Food always great. Needs a lunch menu. Great dinner prices, but a little pricey for lunch.

My first experience was not as good as it could have been. New staff on board who was not sure of himself and was afraid to take initiative. The family run business was sympathetic to my wait and comp'ed me a good baklava. The Lebanese tea is wonderfully seasoned and my appetizer and plate were done perfectly. I learned to come in about 13:00 to avoid the lunch crowd and dine more leisurely.

We stopped in for lunch and, what a treat! Nice little restaurant with excellent food. We enjoyed everything we ate. We would have preferred a better music option. The ancient videos on the tv played over and over and weren't entertaining. Overall, an excellent dining experience!

Ok three stars because the lettuce in my salad was wilted...kinda hard to mess up a Greek salad..chicken shwarma was very delicious..spanokopita was ok. Cucumber sauce was delicious with the shwarma. Is not the best, but probably really good for this area of pineville, la.

What can I say. Same good food and the gentleman cooking was very friendly and personable. This is just a little advice to all businesses. An employee should not be on a personal call with a customer waiting for service. Just as a customer should not be on the cell when being served. This is just being rude. I would have given this place a 4 star but the cell phone tjing really turned me off. Despite this I will be back because of the great owner and food.

Jerusalem Greek & Lebanese was so helpful and patient during a recent take-out order for 10 people. They were quick to offer suggestions once I informed them of our needs. Once we decided on the items and the appropriate quantities, we chose a pickup time of 12:00 noon. Sure enough everything was packaged and ready to go when we arrived five minutes early and the employees were so personable. All of the food was delicious. We ordered hummus, grape leaves, falafel, rice, feta salad, and halloumi cheese. Not only were the quantities dead on, thanks to their suggestions, but everyone devoured the halloumi cheese and feta salad in minutes. I heard many people comment how great the dressing was. I must agree, although all the items were stellar. I cannot wait to return and try the shawarma. If you're craving Greek/Lebanese in the Alexandria area, don't try the other places, go straight to Jerusalem Greek & Lebanese!

Under new ownership as of 11/2012 Family run place. Very friendly and great food. The owner tells me that he and his wife make all the food fresh, not from a can. All I can say is that it tastes good and my almost 2-year-old daughter ate like a pig. They were great with her and even brought her out a plate of pasta so she didn't have to share with us. We'll definitely be back soon. Oh, and if you're up for dessert, I recommend the Ashta - marscapone cream cheese filled philo dough covered in a homemade honey syrup. Delicious.

I tried this place/type of food for the first time today. So glad I did! The food was really good, fresh. And the owners were super nice. I will be going back!

We really enjoyed the food. They use good ingredients and traditional techniques. The desserts are very good. The hot tea is wonderful

Great food and service, chicken kabob was excellent. Not crazy about the feta salad dressing.

Tonight I ordered stuffed grape leaves, hummus, falafel, lamb kabobs and Ashta for dessert. I had originally heard great things about this place and was anxious to try it. Stuffed grape leaves were alright; neither good or bad. Hummus was about the same, average and less acidic than a lot of store bought varieties. The rice served with the kabob was plain white rice. It would have been much better had they used some royal basmati. The bread served with the meal was basic pita style bread. Fresh made bread baked in a tandoori would have been much nicer all around. I was most disappointed with the lamb. I've had lamb many times in my life, in many parts of the country and cuisines. This lamb ranked at the bottom of my list. It just didn't seem fresh to me. For 14.99 I got only 1 kabob, a cup of cooked rice, a little hummus and salad. 2 kabobs would have been appropriate for the price. I could get more of a better product in Houston for 60% of the price. Falafel, I'm going to go out on a limb and say this stuff was previously frozen. The sauce served with it was watered down and not adequately seasoned. The Dessert would have been great but by the time I got to it, it was cold. It was my first time trying it so I don't have anything to compare it too. Even cold I kinda liked it. Sad to say I will not be going back. Better rice, fresh and "real" bread, fresh meat and non-frozen falafel.
