Classic Old Sytle Italian Food. RED GRAVY - Yeah! Great meal with series of small plates until you are completely full. The delicious New Orleans style Italian Red Gravy on almost everything tastes wonderful. Great pastas and Veal Parm (my favorite item here). Really anything is wonderful with their homeade red gravy. I often dont think of this restaurant when headed out to dinner, largely due to the location (I live downtown and rarely make it out to Lakeview). However, I have never been disappointed with the food and always remark at how I should eat here more often (after dining here). I just wish that it were closer to downtown... As others have pointed out, it is easy to miss this restaurant with the lack of signage and the fact that it is located in a house in a neighborhood. Once you arrive, you feel like you have stepped back in time (in a good way) where you are not rushed and are able to enjoy your feast.

Always a fabulous experience. This is the best Italian restaurant in town. Definitely try either the rosemary chicken or whatever fish of the day is offered. Also a must have is the fresh fettuccine Alfredo. The filet mignon is always a good option. Oh definitely get the meatball salad.

Tony know has to feed a crowd! Wow! This place is amazing! I've been here 7 or more times and it is always tremendous. No trip to NOLA should exclude Tony's!

I saw red. Red gravy, plate after plate of the stuff. I went to Tony's last night with my husband's family who are in town from Ireland. My newest cousin, recently married into the family, lives here and took them last week. They loved it so much they brought the rest of us back with them. One thing in America that turns off many Europeans is the heaping ridiculous sized portions and at Tony's this is not the case at all. It was very relieving to finally arrive there, I felt most accomplished as a driver! The streets around Tony's are torn up majorly (and have apparently been this way for some time). A tiny, house-like Italian castle on the outskirts of town, with its own fortress of barricades, tractors, and detours. Once you finally hoof it all the way up the street after giving up and just parking where you are, you still aren't entirely sure you are there because there is no sign out front. Once you step inside you still kind of have a feeling that you are walking into someone's house... where they are having a giant banquet in their living room! We ducked into the bar to wait for the rest of our party & ordered 2 glasses of wine. Both wine glass & serving were substantially large and that alone deserves it own star in my book! I can't remember what all each person ordered so I'll just mention the few things I tried. Frog's legs, interesting but nice texture, but all other flavors extremely overpowered by garlic. The Lobster Souffle was something new and different but served in a teensy, tiny cup. Three bites at the most. A little disappointing if one was a big fan. When our pasta and main courses arrived, everything we ordered was covered in red gravy. The Eggplant Tina was DELIGHTFUL, by far the most delicately flavored, layered, slightly crispy, perfectly textured deliciousness on the table in my opinion. However, my favorite food being crab, I was unfortunately holding my breath for my side of angel hair with crab. Each side of pasta came in small rolled up bunches, again with the red gravy! But oh no! No crab to be seen in there, just a slightly fishy juice that could have been crab flavored? If I used my imagination? However the wine was perfectly suited to all the plates. The service was attentive and professional. And I didn't mind the walk back to the car because I was stuffed and my heart was rebelling against all the red. Love Italian food, love the traditional originality of this place, but don't think I'll be going back...

Simply outstanding, time and again. It is not fancy but the food is exceptional and the service unsurpassed. So glad they came back after the storm. If you have not done it, try the "feed me". Arrive hungry!!

Had a great time at Tony Angello's with some friends. If you like a good cocktail, make sure you have Justin behind the bar. Thank you Justin for the great drinks. As for dinner, I had the Veal which was to die for. Awesome! If you do go here to eat make sure you ask for Shannon for your waitress. What a great personality. Thank you Shannon for making it fun. Bonus was to actually meet Tony Angello. What a great person, treated us like family. You can't ask for anything more then that. Thank you Tony. we will make sure to return. So many meals I have to try.

Feed me!!! That's what we told the waiter, and that's what we got!! Yeah the place is tucked away in the LV and it looks like a house, but once you step inside it's everything that a family style Italian restaurant should be. White tablecloths, tucked away private dining rooms, bar well stocked with sambuca and chiantis, the aroma of freshly baked bread, and friendly service. The menu was a bit overwhelming at first. There were feed me menus of all shapes and sizes....and there were the family style a la carte's to choose from as well. With the combination of double dating with experts and excellent waitstaff, the four of us were able to concoct a feed me menu of epic proportions! I think it was 10 courses, but I forget...it was definitely an enjoyable 2.5 hour dining experience, which reminded me of being back in Europe. I'll try to recall what I can (I should've been a good Elite Yelper and taken notes, but there was too much wine involved)... Shrimp with remoulade, marinated mushrooms, escarole braised with white beans, a lobster cup that tasted like a souffle, a salad topped with brisket, homemade pasta with roasted roma tomatoes and olives which was so simple but oh so right....at this point I knew it was smart to start pacing myself...eggplant rolls that I would like to refer to as eggplant cannolli because they were so yummy I'd eat them for dessert.....then the mains came out... Pork roasted with a red sauce that was so tender that it fell apart once it hit your fork, rosemary chicken that was divine, and the Eggplant Tina. No, it's not some broad from Metry brah....it's thinly sliced layers of eggplant with cheese that's been baked and lightly fried...oh Tina!! Somehow we had room for a digestif of Sambuca and the best cannolli I've ever had. There was a hint of cinnamon in the cream...it blew my mind. I highly rec this place for special occasions, binge eating and family dinners!!!

This place is a hidden gem. For the longest it wasn't listed in the phonebook and the last time I went there wasn't a sign outside. Follow your nose to the wonderful smells. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in the city. Try the feed me dinner!

Blah. Bland. Small portions. No charm. No atmosphere. Thumbs down.

This is the best italian I've had in NOLA. (Aside from the chain Bucca de Beppo) With that said, it still has room for improvement. The decor is great. You feel like you're at your italian family's house for Sunday dinner. The server was nice and as good as he could be given the extremly busy night and a large table of complaining people. The layout of the menu is awful! The worst menu I've ever seen. Its very confusing, doesnt have ANY descriptions, and come to find out you can order several things not listed on the menu. And as is the issue with most italian restaurants in NOLA - there is more to italian food than red sauce. I wish they had more options. A piccata or white wine sauce would be great. After the waiter patiently explained almost every item on the menu to me, we went for the PASTA VACCA for 2. This pasta has a smoked bacon cream sauce with peas and a touch of red sauce. It was delicious. The bacon was smokey and the peas were fresh and crisp. The CANNOLINI are stuffed with ground pork, spinach, and ricotta served in a red sauce. You can order as little or as much as you like. We got 1 as a sampler. It was rather bland and the pasta didnt hold its shape well. It resembled a calamari. The red sauce is very thin but was flavorful with lots of garlic. We got 2 MEATBALLS (not on the menu) as a sampler. They were good but a little on the dry side. Make sure you have enough red sauce to eat it with. The MARINATED MUSHROOMS were my favorite. They are raw - surprisingly. But have tons of garlic and herbs. I wanted to drink the olive oil sauce they were in. so good! Last thing we ate was the osso bucco. It was fatty but had decent flavor. The boyfriend liked it. We ate a ton of food and had a bottle of wine for less than $100. This place has great prices. Try finding a pasta dish for 2 for less than $20 any where else in the city!

So this place is hidden away and it just looks like somebody's house in the neighborhood. When you walk up to it you might think you're sneaking into a secret mafia joint that you will need a secret password or membership card to get in. You WILL need a very big appetite because Tony Angello's is famous for their FEED ME menus!!! If you dare to order the main Feed Me menu (and don't eat all day if you plan to) be prepared for about 30 courses (or more) that just goes and goes and goes for what begins to seem like hours as your belly gets so full but you can't stop eating all the tasty goodness. The only dish I've consistently heard people say they aren't that wild about is the cold beef salad (it isn't bad it's just not as good as all the other stuff and it is cold beef so ahhh yeah beef better hot). They have a lot of other fantastic options on the menu but everybody should experience the ecstasy and pain of the Feed Me at least once in their lives!

The last time I was here was about 15 years ago. I finally got the chance to return this week and it was just as I remembered. The food was great and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I Just think it's so comfy inside. I will be returning more often.

This is an old school type of place. The food is heavy and the sauce is thin. The bar is probably one of the better ones in the area to sit and have a nice conversation. The restaurant is better for groups of 4 -8. It is the atmosphere and style of serving/service that make this place different. The Feed Me option (where they bring you out a 5-8 course meal over a few hours) is worth doing. While you can get better food, and better Italian food for that matter, elsewhere, Tony's is good for what it it....an old school place with an old school feel. I'd say the overall dining experience here is more the reason for going that the food. I recommend the frog legs and the filet over angel hair pasta is you don't get the Feed Me.

Charming Italian restaurant with an awesomely old school vibe. Veal off the chain. Pasta straight from Heaven. Tableside singing in Italian. This place is classic.

Three words: The Feed Me. A seven course meal including dessert under $40. The entree changes depending on what's cookin' in Mr. Tony's kitchen. My father took me here on our "date" for my birthday every year when I was a little girl. A special place for my big night out. Now my husband takes me here for my birthday every year. This place has become one of our places for special occassions. I was heartbroken after Katrina knowing that such a local landmark and special place for so many people was gone. I am so glad they rebuilt and came back.

What an odd place for a fancy Italian restaurant. Until recently, I had always thought Vincent's was alone at the top of the Italiant dining in New Orleans, but this place belongs right up there. The food was great, and it was more of the New Orleans Italian style than pure Italian, but I can very easily accept that. My one comlpaint was the ifckle and seemingly very distracted wait staff.

This place. I was excited to try this place especially because it's in my neighborhood. What's the hype about? It's Overpriced Ragu. I've heard so much good stuff about the food here but what a disappointment. I started with the stuffed shrimp. Now I'm not sure if they ran out of food because it was nye but damn the stuffed shrimp was about the size of my pinky finger if that big. Sad part is that had I known it was gonna be the best part of the meal I would have ordered 5 of them and called it a night. I somehow made three bites out of that order. Next I ordered soup of the day which was typical cabbage sausage soup for nye but instead the waitress brings out artichoke oyster soup because they ran out of soup of the day. Thanks for asking because just so happens I don't like oyster soup. Let's move on to the famous eggplant Tina. Basically deep fried eggplant squares soaked in Ragu sauce. What more can I say. Next was sausage and peppers. Looked more like two burned lil smokies. Seriously. Burned to a crisp. But hey it's ok just pour Ragu on it. Next let's see was the cannelloni - basically frozen spinach and ricotta cheese under not inside the pasta. Joy. Now the best part! Dessert!! So exciting right? Ice box pie. Waitress brought out a tablespoon of it. I can't say if it was good or not because it takes at least three bites to do so. But that's ok because she also brought out a piece of tiramisu and one cannoli the size of yes my pinky again. We ordered ice box pie and cannolis but hey that's ok it doesn't matter that neither of us like tiramisu. Two stars bc parking was easy.

I really wanted to like this place. Really, I did. The location is in an upscale area of New Orleans (Lakeview) and it appears to be in a old residence there. There was ample parking and the interior of the restaurant is simply beautiful. It's hushed, has a quiet little bar in an alcove off the dining room and has two private dining rooms. I was there with a large party of 15 and we had one of the private dining rooms which was nice. However, that's where the charm ended. We couldn't get refills on water. My husband had to ask 4 times for sugar for his iced tea. The entrees were served cold to luke warm. The portions (and no, we did not order the "feed me" although one of the waiters talked my 80 year old mother in law into ordering one of the "course" style meals after she told him it was too much food!) were tasting sized...except for my salad which was fairly good sized but was so oily I could not eat it. I ordered the veal with mushrooms and peppers...thinking that I would get paneed veal, red sauce, mushrooms and cooked green peppers. I got a dried out piece of breaded veal cutlet, some canned mushrooms and two raw slices of pepper on the side of the plate. It came with about a half of cup of angel hair pasta in some watery red sauce Are you kidding me? For $18.95? My husband ordered chicken parmigiana. I've never seen parmigiana served without cheese. It was a breaded cutlet of chicken with some red sauce spooned over it. Big deal. I can make that at home for a lot less money. I had to laugh because my husband told me that he had been at Tony Angelos about 25 years ago when he was in high school. After dinner last night, he told me that it would likely be another 25 years before he'd go there again. That's a bit too soon for me. I could have gone to Vincents.

Holy Red Gravy, Batman!!! I thought I knew from previous reviewers what I was getting myself into with this restaurant, which is to say, red gravy atop every dish. What I didn't realize was that the red gravy would be as unmemorable and overly saccharine as it was. I, for the life of me, cannot understand how their dining room is so consistently full when each and every dish that was served was lackluster, underseasoned, and sloppy. Additionally, I really hope our server was high because otherwise he needs to be checked for premature dementia. We requested a wine list 3 times before receiving it (almost wish we hadn't, as bad as the selections were). Then, we requested wine glasses twice, which finally had to be repossessed from another table. It also occurred to him that bread was never offered...as he was bringing the check. I can think of plenty of other things I'd like to spend over $125 on, and one of them would be whatever the server was smoking out back.

Maybe 25 years ago Tony Angelo's was a good experience. Not the case today. I have been here twice within the past 6 months. I will probably not return. Service was horrific. Food was average to below average. No food item that I ordered came out hot. Warm to lukewarm. In 2015, how can a restaurant this size not have a POS??? That's the start of Tony Angelo's issues.

My girlfriend and I have birthdays a mere four days apart so we decided to celebrate one year by going to Tony Angello's. We had a deal similar to the infamous Feed Me, only with fewer courses. Toss in some deserts and a bottle of wine and wound up with a rather hefty check at the end of the night, but it was worth it. The Feed Me idea is simple: many small courses of whatever is being prepared that night, almost like samplers, served over the course of about an hour. You get to experience several different dishes and flavors. The upside is that you get a wide variety and if you don't like something there's another course coming. The down side is that if you REALLY like something (like everyone's favorite the lobster cups) you only get a small serving for each course. Ultimately good for a special occasion and serving delicious food. It may be pricey, but worth every penny.

Went to dinner tonight for the first time since Hurricane Katrina. It was a personal favorite before the storm, and much about the place feels the same. BUT, the portion sizes were miniscule (almost comical). the salad dressing was too oily, but the brisket in the brisket and tomato salad was good. the sausage and peppers were quality, but there was barely enough sausage to equal one link. the red gravy - always great. the service was inconsistent, including a couple of spills during water refills and pouring coffee. we'll go back, but not too many times more if we have a similar experience.

This restaurant is a great place. The food, the wait staff, the food, the wine, ... oh and did I mention the food? I have been here with friends (some locals) a couple of times during Mardi Gras, and after Katrina, for dinner. It was nice to go to a restaurant outside of the melay of the French Quarter. We went with a large group (5 or more people) and did the "feed me" menu. The feed me menu is where they just keep bringing out amazing dishes until you finally cry "uncle" . The food is served family style and each dish tastes as if it was made right at that moment. Nothing tasted as if it was made in mass. The pastas, as well as the meat dishes, were incredible. Also, being a big fan of good wine, their wine list was pretty good as well, and not over-priced with ridiculous mark-ups. This is a place you go to to really take your time, enjoy your food and the company you are with. Don't be in a hurry here, or you will miss the whole experience.

Being from out of town I would have never found this place by myself. It looks like any house in the neighborhood and has very plain signs. It was recommended by friends. There were nine of us including one child. We tried to make reservations for 530pm, but left a message in a voicemail. When we arrived there was a table for us. We arrived on time and were promptly seated. I anticipated a wait during service because of our party size and the fact that it was Saturday night but three and a half hours was long. The tables were so close together that the whole three hours we were there people kept bumping into my chair. Our waitress brought menus and explained the service. We ordered and waited and waited and waited. She came back and offered to bring the kids meal out because he looked hungry. He ordered fried shrimp and asked for ketchup to dip it in. She said that the place had no ketchup but brought McDonalds ketchup packets to him from her stash. More people arrived and I saw our waitress bussing and waiting on those tables. There were multiple bus boys but none of them seemed concerned with helping our waitress. I ate two rolls and waited a hour for a water refill I had to ask two people for. The first guy said he would refill our table's water and never returned. Thirty minutes later I asked someone else who got us refills. We got our Italian salads they were hot limp oily leaves with no flavor. A hour later the Eggplant I ordered arrived. It was tasty but I only got a 2"x2" portion and was starving by time my food arrived. Our party wanted dessert but decided to skip it from this place. We could not get our waitresses attention to request the check. To get her attention we left one member of our party to pay. He said she noticed everyone leaving and came over minutes after we were gone. Over priced for the bad service. I can never get back those three and a half hours of my life. Save yourself this punishment and do not come here.

This is a place for NOLA locals, by NOLA locals. My boyfriend and his mother chose this restaurant for dinner, and I was blown away by the quality of the service and the food. The menu is setup differently, based upon pre-defined multi-course offerings; however there are al a carte options as well if you want to choose your own pairings. I had the minestrone as a starter and the braised rabbit and tomato for my entree. Both were perfectly prepared and highly recommended. If you want a break from the typical Cajun/Creole/Seafood options I definitely recommend this place!

An oldie but a goodie. I haven't been to this place in forever and it was as good as I remembered. My daughter and I went pretty early one evening for a quick bite and ended up having a feast. We had the artichoke to start- it was ok. But everything that followed was delicious. A good traditional red sauce. I had the veal Parmesan, which was so good. A little more red sauce than I wanted, but hey the ambiance of the place makes up for that. Next time I go back I hope to have a big appetite and do the "feed me" menu!

Our experience was so terrible that my husband and I were in shock because we have always had great food and service there. Last night was just awful. We had reservations at 7. We were told the table wasn't ready and waited almost 30 mins in the bar. To get a drink was a joke bc there was only one waiter. We checked on our table and the snippy matre d told us to wait bc there was people ahead of us. It is obvious to everyone there that the friends and associates of Tony Angello were seated as soon as they walked in. We were finally seated and in the next 3.5 hours we were told by a waiter (who looked drunk or high himself) to "hurry up with our drink order bc he was extremely busy". We asked for bread so many times we would've had 18 loaves if they actually brought one for every time we asked. We had 2 little rolls for a table of 4. Ice tea were served in a filmy, fogged up juice glass bc "all the other glasses were dirty". Really? I could go on and on. My husband finally lost it when we asked for our check and told our waitress how bad it was and it was now 11:00 and I just wanted to go home. It was comical how bad the service was the first two hours, but the next two was just blatantly horrible! Who wants to eat a steak at 10:45 when you ordered it at 8?? If we weren't with two good friends I would have left a lot earlier. There was not a manager in site to check on us, not that they would care bc we were just unknown neighborhood people. NEVER, EVER, NEVER AGAIN.

Unimpressed - the food was cold, not very good and service was bad. We wet with a large group and the server suggested the feed me. He flat out lied about the price and what was included. The bill came and we were all surprised by the total as the bill did not reflect the cost the server told us. I WILL NOT RETURN.

Tony's is a strange restaurant - I got the feeling that they love you if you are a regular but they have no interest in new customers. They don't want to give you a menu - I guess you are supposed to know what you want. They wouldn't bring me a wine menu even after I asked for one. The food was good but it took a long time to come out. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I've had mixed experiences at Tony Angello's over the years. I live two blocks away and know the drill, but sometimes the service is so erratic and unprofessional that it really denigrates the dining experience. This is an almost charming local restaurant chocked full of photos and memorabilia peppered with a service staff that always seems just a bit overwhelmed. The food is mostly good with some hit or miss options. The eggplant roulade is excellent, as is the panneed fish. Other offerings such as the oysters bienville didn't have any shrimp, mushrooms, or flavor...just bechemel...bland. The rabbit stew with oranges and tomatoes was also bland and uninspired...a drag, because I love rabbit. The osso bucco was tender and prepared well and the artichokes were phenomenal. This is a place to go to earlier in the week and to avoid on busy nights when the crush of the crowd kills the charm of the place.

I discovered Tony Angellos back in the 1980s with a girlfriend, and I've been going back ever since. It is a jewel that locals know, but few outsiders find. Last night I went again, and I remembered that I have to write up a review. First of all the qualifiers: Go before 6:30. If you hit there during the dinner rush you'll be up against the six and eight-top tables, and you'll be hard-pressed to get a waiter. During the dinner rush the place gets very loud. Have a reservation. If you don't have one, the wait in the bar can run up to an hour. You can make the reservation a half-hour ahead of time, but just have one! Now for the food: Aside from the a la carte menu Tony's has several fixed-price menus as well as the "feed me" deals. Both of these involve several small courses brought to you over the course of an hour or two. The $25 fixed-price includes a cup of artichoke soup, a spinach salad with anchovy sauce and grated cheese, a plate of pasta with a light sweet marinara sauce, and an Italian sausage and green peppers plate. Everything is superbly prepared, and the flavors compliment each other splendidly. This weekend my wife ordered the grilled drum with crab meat, and she was thrilled. The fact that the restaurant is described as "Italian" often turns off people who dislike Italian food. You should know that the "Italian" food is not the heavy acidic Italian that most Italian restaurants serve. This food is light and delicate, and the "I don't like Italian food" guests that I took there left the place very happy to have gone there. Vegetarians can be accommodated as well without having to compromise with dull food, just so the carnivores (like me!) can have their restaurant. The fixed-price menus and feed-me deals bring up an important point. Because of the logistical difficulties involved in coordinating deliveries of feed-me courses with those of the a-la-carte meals, the waiters often ask that everyone at the table get the feed-me menu or none do. All-in-all I find that Tony Angellos consistently delivers some of the best food in New Orleans, and it does so without the high-dollar damage that the Brennans restaurants deliver.

We've been going to Tony Angello's for the past 20 years or so. Had another wonderful dinner last night. The food and service was fantastic. I always suggest the Deluxe dinner for those who want a taste of all of the house specialties.

My husband and I just ate there this past weekend and I hate to say that I was so disappointed. Tony Angellos used to be one of our favorites before the storm and this was the first time we were back since. Unfortunately, our experience was bad from the start. From the moment we sat down we had a waiter that just wouldn't leave us alone. Within the first five minutes he asked us 3 times if we had any questions about the menu - we hadn't even ordered our wine. We had company with us and we all ordered separate from the "Feed Me" menu. It took a long time for the bread to reach our table and the two rolls we got (for 5 people) was the last of any bread we'd see that evening. When the appetizers came I was actually in shock. I had ordered the stuffed shrimp which before the storm were the size of my palm and filled nicely with their stuffing. What I was looking at were three shrimp barely the size of my pinky and a little stuffing laying next to them. Our appetizers were served on plates the size of coffee saucers. The other appetizers at the table were just as bad in portion size. By the time our entrees came we were starving. Our entree sizes weren't any better and the side of pasta seemed like a bad filler at this point. I don't understand why when you order chicken parmisane they can't put the pasta on the plate with the chicken. It really would make for a nicer looking entree. By this time our hovering waiter had actually disappeared so we weren't able to ask for more wine, bread, anything. Our table was full of crumbs that were never cleaned from the bread and a shy bus boy delivered the dessert selections barely above a whisper. I ordered ice cream - and if I had put the whole thing together would have barely make a single scoop. My husband ordered the icebox pie and was served a small 2x2 square of something that did not remotely look like a piece of pie. Our waiter reappeared in time to serve us the bill. At roughly $50 a head I cannot in good faith suggest this experience to anyone else. When you think of Italian dining you think of hearty meals and good food. While the food was edible we left hungry. I don't want to spend that kind of money to go home and fix something else to eat. I'm sad that an old favorite has seemed to slip a bit but I think Tony Angelo's has gotten so used to it's "Feed Me" portions that it forgot what it was like to serve a real sized entree to a customer.

Well, normally I would not give anything 5 stars, but this is not an ordinary restaurant. Three generations of my family have being eating with Tony, even dating back to when it was called The Black Orchid. This is definitely New Orleans style Italian food, from getting the "Feed Me Tony" (a 10 course teaser of the most popular of Tony's dishes) to having marinara be referred to as "red gravy". There is tradition here. It has shown its resiliency to rebuild after being at ground zero of the flooding during Katrina and still make a 100% return to business as usual. Although the facade of the restaurant mirrors some of the houses in this residential neighborhood, what you find inside is a breath of fresh air. You are greated at the door by Dale a staple of Tony Angello's, and if you are lucky, Tony usually makes a trip out of the kitchen to come to the table to see how your meal was. Truly a great place to spend an evening. Tony Angello's is in a class that all restaurants should hope to attain.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
