This place is perfect if you're looking for a low-key, loose place for a great hamburger or poboy. It definitely has the bar atmosphere and the staff is friendly and sociable. You have to order the Melvyns Burger when coming here. It is absolutely delicious and in no way breaks the bank. There's also ample parking for this place as it is located in a strip. If you want a laid-back, man-cave type atmosphere with some of the best burgers in the Twin Cities, Melvyn's is the place for you!

9-16-13- This place does lots of poorboy's and sandwiches. Which unfortunately means lots of processed meats.I saw on the menu that they had a roast beef sandwich with roast beef cooked daily ( not processed). So I ordered a roast beef sandwich and onion rings. I so wanted this sandwich to be good. The roast beef was tough and flavorless. The onion rings were good and crispy. I'd try this place again , but it's definitely not on my short list of places to try.

Another hometown favorite here. Burgers that beat anything I've ever had (including Enoch's...sorry Enoch's. I still love you for dates!) Melvyn's burgers are always good. I've never had a bad one. And their fries are good too. The atmosphere at lunch tends to local business types. It can get very busy. Parking is not the best but it's certainly not the worst. Just watch as you pull in and pull out because sure as heck someone else is doing the opposite. They serve alcohol here or did when I lived in Funroe, but this is more of a lunch place for me. I also love the call-in and carry-out convenience. I recommend the Melvyn for take out but the BBQ Burger for eating in. Oh yeah!

Delicious hamburgers! I love the Melvyn burger. This is a great lunch spot, especially for the locals. Usually super busy, loud, and filled with frat boys.

More than Great Burgers! Salads are awesome as well as their daily plate lunches.

Melvyn's is a decent restaurant in Monroe, serving hamburgers and some poboys. The food is not bad--there's better out there, but there's much worse, too. Pricing is a tad on the high side given the portions--some of the poboys look like they shrunk in the wash before being served, but it's still a good place with plenty of atmosphere.
