In a sea of lame-chains, fast-food, greasy spoons, home-cookin', and cajun cuisine, Daily Harvest is my gastronomical saving grace in Monroe. I really love everything about Daily Harvest. They believe in making food delicious, as natural as possible, and as healthy as possible. When I just can't take anymore Johnny's, I have to get away to Daily Harvest to have the nutritious foods that my body craves. Here's what I am in love with: * Chicken salad on red wheat * Hand-made turkey burgers * Fresh-squeezed OJ (I get mine with a shot of wheat grass) * Gumbo If you've never been to Daily Harvest, then go now. Or when they're open. Whatever.

Three words: banana nut bread! Try it and you'll be coming back for more! The Daily Harvest is one of my fave local bakeries here in Monroe. They always have the BEST and BIGGEST cookies! I have to refrain from trying to buy everything I taste in there! What can I say? I'm a sucker for sweets! I had their Thursday lunch special today--a hearty serving of lasagna served w/ a side salad and a whole wheat breadstick. Lasagna = happy and very full tummy! I also picked up a ginger molasses cookie and a cranberry-raisin-nut muffin...and of course both were delish. Also, the locals rave about the chicken salad here so I will have to try that next time.

Been hearing about this place so since I was working in the neighborhood, I decided to try. I ordered the tomato basil veggie wrap. Being a loyal omnivore I added chicken to it. This was probably the best lunch I've eaten in Monroe in a long time. The proportions were perfect and great flavor. I recommend this to anyone. They serve breakfast, lunches and dinners. Have a great assortment of to go casseroles and baked breads and muffins. And not to mention cookies the size of dinner plates.

Try the 9-grain muffin top...delicious. I also like their turkey sandwiches...there's nothing particularly special about the turkey or the toppings, but the homemade bread makes it a standout.
