This is the place to go for a potato.

This place is a little bit off the beaten path (down a service road). They mainly serve loaded baked potatoes(spuds), but do offer many other dishes. They offer about 20 different loaded spuds, all of which sounded delicious. I had their chili and a small spud filled with ham, 3 types of cheeses, sour cream, bacon bits, and chives. It was awesome! This place looks like a two-story shack and the service was not all that great. I would highly recommend.

Craving potatoes my son begged to visit Spudly's. I hadn't been in years and craving a spud myself I happily agreed. It hasn't changed at all. Tucked away on a dead end street in Metairie, it is certainly off the beaten path, but well worth the trip for a big old spud. Located in a pseudo ski lodge type building, it is certainly bigger on the outside. It seats about 40 people and it's very tight. Each table has fresh flowers-a very sweet touch. The staff is very friendly and accommodating - they gave us time to order, to eat and generally lounge around. I like that they didn't try to rush is out. Our server chatted with us and even paid attention to the kids. We started with a combo app of fried cheese and mushrooms. The kids adored it but I probably would have preferred the salad. My son got #18 Mushroom Mania. Tons of mushrooms, all three cheeses and lotsa chives. He tore it up! My daughter got the Super Pizza Spud - lotsa pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives and sauce. She couldn't figure out how to eat it at first - it looks like a pizza but ya gotta use a fork. Once she dug in though she can't imagine going back to the dough (or so she says :-D). I got a #14 Chicken Delight. So cheesy! I would give it an 8. All in all it was a pleasant experience with the family in homey surroundings. Tips: They love the chives here so if you don't like them be sure to let them know. No alcohol but great on refills.

Honestly, when we pulled up to the parking lot my husband and I looked at each other and considered not even going in! But we were starving so we decided to give Spudleys a shot. Hole in the wall with a completely random location BUT a wide variety of options on the menu to pick from, including some GOOD vegetarian choices! Ample portions: I had enough food to make a second meal out of it and my husbands meal certainly filled him up. When we want potatoes again, we would consider this place for sure.

We love Spudley's!! Our family has eaten here since my husband and I were both in our teens. We're now in our mid 40's and it still fabulous!

Fantastic! Tucked in a neighborhood and difficult to locate, but totally worth it. The cheesy chicken potato is complete hit.

This place is amazing I'm from Florida and never have had such a great baked spud and a lot of options!!! So yummy

Great baked potatoes!! Close to my house and pretty quick. I love the super duper I think it's called. The only thing is last time I ordered, it was super pricey. It had seafood in it which at the time wasn't in seafood so it was more. I just wished they could of told me prices vary. Other than that, I'd recommend.

Quit extensive menu for potatoes! Not the easiest place to find on your first go around, but once you find it, you will not forget again. Excellent customer service, and the variety is great enough to make you visit this place many times without ordering the same thing a second time. Kind of pricing for my liking, but the portion size is quite large. Worth doing, at least once, when you have the craving for an extreme baked potatio.

Heaven on earth for potato fanatics. I always get the traditional skins, but from everyone I've been to Spudly's with, you cant go wrong with any of the skins/ normal potatoes. Love this place!

Omg I love baked potatoes. If u do too this is the place for you :) bigger than your head and you can put almost anything you can think of on it. Great for lunch and homey.

This place definitely live up to the hype. The spuds are amazingly soft and delicious. I hate eating dry hard spuds, so this was a nice change from your typical loaded potatoes. Speaking of loaded they sure don't shy away from loading yours up. It's the perfect amount for the size of your spuds. I only ate here twice and I can honestly say I will return here every 2 weeks. The location is ducked off yet it seems to always a packed house. Word of mouth is a beautiful thing. The inside is pretty small, but they have upstairs sitting as well, so don't be alarm if you walk in and see no available tables. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

One of my favorite hole-in-the-walls. And it is a hole-in-the-wall! Kinda confusing to get to but after you've been there once, you'll never forget. Love all their baked potatoes. And so has everyone that's ever eaten there. All the potatoes are freshly made and soft and melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Then the toppings they put on this....don't go if you're dieting because you will be cheating. I always get the Super Duper (crabs, crawfish and shrimp.) It's always chock-full of fresh seafood that tastes so good with their cheese sauce. Mmmm. Plus the potatoes are so big, you can usually make two meals out of it! Too bad they only give you one roll since it never lasts to the reheat. I've yet to eat a better potato than theirs. There have been many places that have tried to compete but Spudly's has consistently out tasted and outlasted them. Spudly's was one of those restaurants I was afraid would go down in size and quality after the storm. Their prices went up- but which place didn't? Yet I still dream about the days that two people eating here doesn't cost $30. One star off for being $15 for a baked potato. Luckily nothing else changed! I still love their potatoes and is my go-to meal on a rainy day, on a cold day or whenever I want a pick-me-up. Their apps are good too. Had their mozzarella sticks and fried mushrooms. Mushrooms much better since the sticks taste like the stuff you get out of the freezer. The mushrooms come with a good special sauce. Another drawbacks are their desserts. Wish they had a better variety.

Good place for people addicted to potatoes. I got the shrimp & crab spud, and the wife got a loaded spud. We split a burger with wedges. Overall our food was good but not great. The burger was pretty good, but probably was frozen patty from grocery store, but still good. The wedges were over cooked, hard and had no flavor, we both left them untouched after our first bite. Our spuds didn't take long and where huge. The sauce was ok but kinda tasted like it came out of a can. They use fake bacon bits which i don't understand the real stuff can't be that much more and taste ten times better. My wifes spud was ok, our entire meal was ok nothing great or worth going out of your way. Maybe it was what we ordered, so i will give them another try if i am near and craving a spud for a meal. The bill was a little high for what we got in my opinion. Also the handicap ramp is a joke i had issues walking up it, and when you first walk in there is barely any room from the crappy metal magazine stand.

They added gratuity to our party of 5 (2 parents with 3 kids) which I thought to be a bit shady. Otherwise, service was adequate and food good. Since hard to mess up baked potatoes, still on the fence regarding our return. Forced tipping for a family of five is not cool.

Its a shack in a challenging to find location way out on the I-10 service road that serves all things baked potatoes. They also have some burgers soups, salads, appetizers and other sandwiches but the main focus is on super topped baked potatoes. They do what they do well with baked potatoes and the burger is decent. You get really nice portion size and value for your money here along with a very interesting dive ambiance.

Ate here for the first time the other night. A friend of mine had been seeing the commercial on tv and said we had to go. The staff was great the atmosphere very relaxing and low key So many potatoes options you don't know were to start. I had the BBQ potato with every cheese they had on top as well as sour cream it was great my friend had the Wisconsin potato and added ham and broccoli. I will deff be back

Love is Spudly's Super Spuds. They do what they do, and they do it well. They make no apologies for the "limited" menu, and quite honestly, you shouldn't go to a place named "super spuds" looking for a t-bone. They got potatoes. And potato soup. And potato skins. And... you get the idea. Go. Eat. Smile.
(5)Lila R.
They take baked tators to a whole level. Always perfectly cooked thru and thru, there's nothing worse than a crunchy bit in a potato. Ooozing with whatever toppings you could possibly desire, they melt in your mouth. Just remember to let it cool off for a second lol. It's comfort food with extra comfort. This place has character. Not a thing has changed in 25+ years except maybe the staff. I still order the same thing I did when I was 5. Butter, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and ham. It's all about the potatoes here. Did i mention they're huge! Service is quick and friendly and I can't wait to go back. My mouth is watering just thinking about it now!

Yay! I'm a fan. It's difficult to rate Spudly's. I mean, it's a 1982 restaurant in a 1982 A-frame house that has been renovated just so that it no longer has shag rugs. Eating here is like stepping back in time. The decorations, the feel, the ambiance, it all seems to be quite austere and quite 1982. Although most of the restaurant bears left over decorations from a Saints superbowl party from last season, none of the decor is dated and there are no "superbowl champion" decorations. It's just Saints and fleur de lis. It could be from any era. Ultimately Spudly's could be located anywhere--Alaska, upstate New York, some backwoods California town--and you wouldn't bat an eye. Situated on a Metairie service road alongside I10 east, Spudly's is located in a powder blue A-Frame (triangular) house. Neon signs point to the entrance. The restaurant appears to have quite a following from repeat customers. Inside the restaurant has tables scattered along the bottom floor. That's right! There's an upstairs to Spudly's as well!! When I visited only the bottom floor was open although the restrooms are upstairs. By the door there is also a small room with video gaming devices. A small CRT television sits on one wall by the video gaming devices and a speaker plays 1980's music. The menu seems expansive but is really just a bunch of different variations on baked potatoes, burgers, hotdogs, and poboys. As you might imagine, a restaurant that specializes in potatoes is fantastic at baking them. I enjoyed mine, covered in cheeses and sour cream. I also tried out a burger and it was pretty good. The burger was not greasy. Interestingly the condiments were all included on a separate plate. We tried the potato skins and they were amazing! I should mention that the service was excellent and the prices were super cheap! In addition to the American food the menu also included a range of domestic beer. Patrons include a ton of regular customers who eat quietly. They seem very serious about their Spudly's! But when people leave they would yell a discussion back and forth with the waitresses. It was pretty entertaining. If you are interested in some good old American food that includes baked potatoes and you are not scared off by the drab 1982 interior of an A-Frame house, Spudly's is a good little adventure.

I will start this review by expressing how excited I was to come here and eat. Baked potatoes are one of my all time favorite foods and when I found a restaurant that served many different kinds than your standard chives, sour cream, cheese, etc; I was ecstatic. We walked in and found the little place very quaint and home-y. The restroom is located behind their cashier counter which I found to be a little awkward so I held it. We chose a table and she came over right away and was very friendly. My boyfriend went with the chili/cheese potato and I went for the crab where I added some sauteed mushrooms and a side of sour cream. We also ordered a couple Abitas. Everything came out quickly and I dug in right away. I absolutely loved every bite until...CRUNCH. I felt a huge pain in my tooth as I dug out a huge crab shell from my mouth. Though it's not very big, I chipped my tooth on that thing. This is the only reason I'm only giving three stars. I understand finding small shells when it comes to seafood dishes but this was a big one. I did not see it under all the delicious cheddar cheese. I will go back and try something else without the shellfish but it was painful!

Dumb, just plain ole dumb! I called at 8:52 and asked "what time you all close?" and the guy said "we stop taking orders at 9." (So he never answered the question.) So I hung up decided what I wanted and called back literally a minute later. The same guy answer and I tried to place an order, he put me on hold slamming the phone down somebody yelled obscenity in the background and then the guy came back and said "If you can't be here in 5min then no we can't serve you. We close for 9." I told him that I asked "what time you guys closed and instead of just saying 9, you said you stopped taking orders at 9, so I'm thinking maybe they close for 10." Either way the food isn't all that good for me to want to go back, besides the customer service is always mediocre to boarder line bad anyway. There are plenty of places that are much more professional, customer service is everything to me.

Tucked away in that unassuming A-frame with no windows, is a potato delight! Very tasty, very fattening, very very necessary. But only once every couple of months, or you might start looking like the human version of their over-stuffed spuds, round and lumpy. Service has consistently been spot-on. p.s. The #20, y'all!

Like potatoes? Then this is your place! Ive eaten the chicken delight potato ab 40 times over the past 2 decades. Its bite size chicken tenders, cheese sauce and green onion goodness. Comfort food 101. Apps are basic fried mushrooms, cheese sticks etc. plenty of variety on potato toppings-kids meals come with unique smiley face fries. :) cheap, consistant and comforting....and theres usually a coupon in "The Clipper"

"Was she a great big ol' fat person?" Yes, she was, and before you dropped her in the pit and told her to put the lotion in the basket, she loved going to Spudley's Super Spuds for lunch. She ordered many things on her varied trips to Spudley's. She tried the fired mushrooms, delicious fried wet balls of molten yum that were inexplicably served with marinara sauce. She learned to ask for ranch dressing before she decided they weren't really worth the money. She tried the "Beef it Up," a giant (double) potato topped with diced roast beef and sauteed onions, mushrooms, bell pepper, and topped with Spudley's "original" cheese sauce, mozzarella, and chives. She found the veggies overcooked, to the extent that the mushrooms seemed canned. She did not try this spud again. Next, she tried the Fajita Spud (without butter). It was just ok. Somehow, potatoes didn't seem like the proper vehicle for mexican food, and the potato seemed to suffer without the butter. On her last trip, she decided to stretch that skin some more with the Super Duper Spud (with no butter again, enjoying the irony), a heavenly delight topped with copious amounts of crab meat, crawfish tails, shrimp, cheddar cheese, cheese sauce, and chives. This was the spud of her dreams and it made her sooooo happy that she drove home singing "weeee weeee weeee," which turned into "An American Girl...."

This place is delicious. I've always gotten the baked potatoes, but last time I went I tried a burger and it was so good. Reasonable prices, good service, great food.

Very small & simple. So I got fried mushrooms & mozzarella sticks, did not like the mushrooms, batter was wrong & no dipping sauce (I'm used to River Shack's), of course you can't mess up mozzarella sticks (frozen ones). Traditional spud, nothing special & traditional skins, my daughter liked them (she's 9) which she never had before. I'm a potato fanatic & I just wasn't impressed. But it wasn't bad either, nice servers & fast service.

This place is awesome!!! We have had several different different spuds and they are all great!!!!!
(5)Hank M.
Not a bad place. Good spuds and very friendly staff. Old building could really use a make over. The old place would probably scare away most people. Lots of older customers...
