My wife and I stopped yesterday to try lunch. There were 7 people working with 4 customers. After waiting for 20 mins for our order I went to the counter and the order taker forgot to place our order, we waited another 10 mins. My wife's order was wrong, another 5 mins. My silverware was dirty and the manager said all were dirty. I used plastic fork and knife. Will not be going back.

Very good coffee which is as good as Morning Call Coffee Stand but a small here is twice as big as a small at Morning Call. Beignets are good but I like Morning Call more. Nice place to hang out.

I stopped by yesterday because the sign Cafe soups salads, while that is a far cry for a salad shop. Tuna salad, Chicken salad, and lettuce and tomato with cucumber. I would not consider this a place for a green salad. Poor selection

Hot, fresh & delicious are words folks like me associate with beignets. I'll give all three to NOCB & Co. What words I won't use include: fast, consistent or courteous. Painfully slow service, some good beignets in the bag but not all good, stone faced service and maybe a muttered thank you, not sure. And the Cafe Au Lait? Worst ever. All Lait, not enough Cafe. Near the bottom of my go cup I was treated to a big swig of coffee grounds. Won't get me to pay for that experience twice. No idea how long this place has been open, just home in NOLA for Christmas. Not sure how long they'll be open: 20+ minutes as the second car in the drive thru doesn't encourage repeat visits. I'll always find time for beignets when I visit home. I won't find time for NOBC & Co. again.

Loved the frozen coffee!!! It was fabulous and will be getting it there. The idea of mini beignets are great for toddlers and kids. Its easier for people at a work place also! less mess to clean. The sandwiches looked good.

Good Beignets when they are hot. But of course can't beat that classic batter and fluff from Cafe Du Monde
(2)Amanda M.
My husband has picked up beignets and coffee from here twice. I thought both were very tasty. They have mini-beignets and chocolate beignets. I appreciate the variety. The mini were perfectly bite sized and the chocolate were very good and not overly sweet like I thought they'd be. I've been crazing some chocolate beignets so I may need to make a trip here soon!
(4)Candice M.
5 stars for the beignets, but the service is kind of slow. I like these way better than Cafe Du Monde.

I'm upping my rating to four stars. I really like that they have a drive-thru, it makes it really easy to swing through for a frozen cafe au lait when I need an afternoon pick-me-up. I recently broke down and tried the beignet bites despite my initial objections and, you know, they are pretty dang good. I like them waaay better than their regular beignets, but they're still not CDM or Morning Call. Finally, they have some nice, lighter lunch options that are really quite good.

I've given this place several tries - from first opening to current day. I've had GREAT customer service and the beignets have been consistently good. Lattes are always good, as well. Can't say I can ask for anything more!
(5)Courtney T.
The beinets are absolutely fresh and delicious. You can tell that they are made to order. This will become my go to place. Lately I have been more then disappointed with the other establishments in the city. I have had my fair share of less then fresh beinets. Nice service as well.

Basic stuff. Nothing outstanding. The coffee was good but the beignet was tough. If beignet is going to be in your name, you gotta get it right. Get your ish together.

I'm in like, not love, with NOCB. I've visited the first location attached to the New Orleans Seafood and Hamburger on St. Charles many times. What I do love is the variety and convenience. Growing up, Beignets were a treat only enjoyed when I happened to be in the quarter or while entertaining out of town guests. Now, we can get them in the mall, and finally, at a drive through. The selection is unique. Chocolate beignets, beignet bites and beignet sundays are all on the menu. Now, why am I not in love? The beignets are good, but not as good as Cafe Du Monde or Morning Call. They're also more expensive. And since I discovered Robert Fresh Market has delicious pillowy beignets in the A.M., for about $0.50/each, I'm kind of spoiled. I spent almost $7 for an order of beignets and a coffee...kind of steep I think. But it's cute, original and convenient.

The beignets are good (duh, they're beignets!) and the food is really good. I only feel like their sandwiches are missing the tiniest kick... The apple sandwich needs a little bit of spice to level out its sweetness. And the bahn mi baguette is delish! But it would taste dynamite with a little Siracha on there. I haven't tried the coffee but the inside decor is very cute and the staff is friendly and helpful. So glad that they kept the drive thru from this old Burger King!
(4)Spencer F.
Pretty bland, I came here with a friend to try the chocolate beignet. We got the bites and split it half chocolate and half original- both were equally tasteless. Come here once so you can stop wondering for yourself but I won't be back for the beignets.
(3)Lindsey B.
Frozen drink was okay. Beignets are hallow on the inside!!!!!!!!! I will not be returning. This place might succeed out of state but not here at home.
(2)Kellen P.
The service was a little awkward. There was some confusion when we ordered and instead of 1 order of beignets they gave us 1 beignet, which apparently is an option on the menu. They were nice about it and gave us an actual order of 3 for free. They were good, we had the chocolate ones. Nothing special, they tasted like the chocolate cake doughnuts you'd get from Dunkin Doughnuts. It wasn't bad, but I think I'll stick with Morning Call and Cafe du Monde

Four Stars for the Cappuccino. Best Cappuccino in the Lakeside Mall area. Perfect espresso flavor, perfect temperature, need to work on the froth.
(4)Dave S.
Ok. Not great. Went to try a coffee shop near work with wifi. Place had an odor. Music very loud. Seemed to not make me want to stay, work of have more coffee. Place was empty, but large. Had sandwich. Bread good but food seemed microwaved. Probably will look elsewhere.

It has diversity with respect to a chocolate version beignet -- and mini-size ones at that. The Frozen Cafe-au-lait is pretty light. If I could parallel it, it's similar to a Krispy-Kreme donut -- light and fluffy vs. Dunkin Donuts meaty-hearty donuts. Based on those two items and a one-time trip, it's three-star worthy. Ain't bad. Ain't impressive, just another place to snack, relax, and hang.
(3)Kristie S.
It was my first visit here. The cold weather combined with the promise of hot beignets and cafe au lait with drive-thru convenience got me. I got the traditional beignets. Overall, it was a solid offering. The beignets were more bread-like than the "other" "famous" beignets, but the taste was right on. I would have liked a little more fluffiness, but it was a small trade-off for the convenience. They also have chocolate beignets, beignet bites, beignet sundaes and more. I'm sure I'll be back to sample something else.

My hubby and I went for lunch. He likes his sandwiches big and meaty. The Italia was not as big as the cashier promised. Aside from the size, it tastes fairly good. The veitnamise poboy only had one slice of deli chicken and a few carrots& cucumbers. Nothing spectacular. Both sandwiches didn't come with sides. At $7.95 that was a bit of a disappointment. We also had a beignet which was good. Overall I like the concept but the price of the sandwiches didn't equate to the amount of food you get.
(3)Terry M.
The frozen coffee tasted like Choc milk. Not much coffee flavor. The beignet was dark and overcooked . Again not much flavor. Didn't like the aroma when I first walked in. The decor was nice and thoughtful to put outlets at the bar . Employees were plesent

Beignets are decent. Tried the fleur de Lis banh mi, which is roasted pork, carrots cucumber cilantro. The pork was paper thin and they only gave u one slice. Sandwich was all bread. Also, no pepper or siracha for the sandwich. My fiancé had the Paris Pinic sandwich, meat was paper thin, ALL bread. Disappointed!!!!!
(2)Jim G.
Positives-fresh bright dining space with raised tables and stools that were comfortable for sitting around, good hot coffee. Negative (this unfortunately is the deal beaker)-the beignets. Yes they are soft and fluffy as advertised, but it just doesn't work-they're just fat, soft and plain-good beignets (i.e. ones from Cafe Du Monde and Morning Call) are pillowy but with some texture or even crispness on the outside and edges and like good French bread there are holes on the inside. I'll prob give em one more try-maybe they'll figure it out.
(2)Sara P.
Its a beignet. That's all. Nothing special or crazy. Good to take friends visiting town and not having to deal with crazy tourists in the Quarter. This place is a chain, but it works If you only want a cafe au lait and a beignets: it gets the job done.
(3)Eryn D.
Beignets are better at Cafe Du Monde. Chocolate ones are pretty good! Coffee was okay. I've been twice, once through drive through and once inside. Atmosphere nice, was quiet when I went both times. Lines were short.
(3)Jenna C.
Bleh, blah, eh. Pretty much my response after trying these beignets. I wanted to try the chocolate ones, since I've never had a chocolate beignet before, and so we order both the original and the chocolate. Both were bland. There was no puffy, doughy, yummy center that you usually associate with a beignet. We tore both in half and they were hollow inside. Just the fried outter later of dough was all that we got. We will stick with our cafe du monde, thank you.

I watched this place transform from an abandoned Burger King to the beignet and coffee shop it is now. Albeit it's a chain, it's a local chain, and if I need to glean on some wifi and get coffee I much rather support a local chain. The place is literally around the corner from my office and I've been waiting for an excuse to try their chocolate beignets. When I came in to order the girl at the counter was super nice and was patient with me while I navigated through the menu, which is pretty extensive. They have a full lunch menu and there were prepared sandwiches and other bakery items behind a glass counter that actually looked pretty good. You can order just one beignet instead of having to commit to an order of three, which was actually a relief for me since I just wanted to try one chocolate beignet. As soon as I got my beignet I noticed the flatness of it and was put off immediately. The chocolate is incorporated into the dough and it's still a normal beignet covered in powdered sugar. It was a little on the chewy side too, lacking the crunch of texture and the pillowy softness normally expected in a beignet. Chewy and beignet just don't go together. The chocolate flavor in the beignet was a little weak and I found myself wanting a more intense chocolate flavor. If you're really in the mood for beignets I suggest just driving further down Vet's until you hit Cafe Du Monde or head over to Morning Call.

The best way to reconnect with family is eating coffee and beignets at the New Orleans Coffee and Beignet Shop after dinner. So Satisfying!!
(4)Alicia G.
Well this was disappointing. I have been here before and the food was great. This morning we chose to eat here and after waiting in line for 20 mins we find out that they are out of eggs and the only choices are muffins and beignets. So I try to order a chicken salad croissant and they tell me I can't order that for 30 mins. So even though they are out of breakfast they were not willing to spoon out a little pre made chicken salad onto a croissant for me. They lost out on about $40 worth of food and drinks from this group and this is no longer one of my favorite breakfast places in town.

I'm not exactly thrilled with this place but I don't hate it either. I heard they served lunch here so I went to check it out, not realizing that the lunch menu has only a few items to choose from. All if their sandwiches are pre made. The sandwich I got was pretty good but not super filling. I placed an order for beignets and after 10 mins of waiting I asked about how much longer and apparently they "forgot to make them". I was a little frustrated because I only had about 3 min to eat them before I had to be back to school. They have a great drink menu, a couple fancy juices and lots of coffee options and some teas. Overall, not terrible but not great.

Oh, my . . . BLECH! If your thing is beignets and you can't get the good or right then you need to close and go back to being a Burger King . . . we got an order of 3 traditional beignets. First, there was barely any powdered sugar in the bag - and we got a to-go order. Second, I'm not sure what makes their beignets wrong, but they were WRONG. They are not pillowy and doughy - they are . . . industrial. It seems like they are probably made by Sysco or some industrial food company and kept frozen and then defrosted. We ordered three - ate 1 and 3/4 of them and threw the rest away. We had friends over the next day and went to Café du Monde and felt redeemed. Avoid this place - if it doesn't go out of business quickly, it should.

Chocolate beignets will make you not want any other beignets again ever. Super friendly staff and much better service then other older and more well known beignet cafés. Bon a petit.

I really loved it. I got a pistachio doubloon, chocolate beignet and a frozen coffee. The doubloon is kind of like a pillowy cookie with icing in the middle, and I really thought it was amazing. They come in all different colors and I can't wait to get a mix to bring to my kiddos school during Mardi Gras. The chocolate beignet was what I really loved though. Truthfully on the first bite I didn't think it was chocolatey enough, but then it was perfect on the second bite and rest of it. I liked the texture, which was a little crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Going to try to get a dz to bring to work tomorrow, so I hope they're ready for that!

I was so excited to try chocolate beignets!!! Heeeey!!, where's the chocolate. They truly looked & tasted like they might be whole wheat, kinda brown but no chocolate flavor at all... ick..
(2)Cookie Monster S.
Very fast and personable service. I only ordered regular beignets for first time and they were delicious even by the time we got home to eat them.
(4)Brian T.
The beignets were very heavy, different from any i've ever had. the egg thing i got was terrible. coffee was good. I'm not going back
(2)Kelly S.
Was very excited to see a beignet establishment open close to us. You may need to update your hours on yelp... You claim to be open until midnight on Saturdays but when we drove up at 11pm the drive through was blocked and doors locked. Let down!
