Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I give Moes grill four stars for being what it claims to be. Large burritos, fresh grill ingredients and a really nice salsa bar. The case it was pretty good. Keep in mind you probably need less than you think.

How does Taco Bell stay in business with so many mid-grade burrito bars? I know, the drive thru and late night stops after to many drinks. Moe's is a pleasant place to grab lunch. THe ingredients seem fresh and they always say "Welcome to Moe's". The place is clean and the staff is friendly. They have the Coke Machine that allows for 1,000,000 choices! The salsa bar is well stocked and the chips are taste. It will not cost you a ton of money to feed yourself and a friend so I recommend it for a quick bite sometime.

What happened to the liquor license, Mo?? Before the LSU-BR Mo's left all it's unwaveringly dedicated college customers, they had AMAZING margaritas! I didn't see any signs of liquor at this Mo's location. Am I mistaken? If so, someone PLEASE correct me!! In college, I always got the John Coctostan and my ingredients only varied by which meat I chose. Meat & cheese kinda person. Yesterday when my boyfriend and I went here, we split a salad with ground beef, cheese, grilled onions, some corn stuff with tomato's. It was great! As always, the queso - coined "sex in a bowl" by some college friends - was delicious! I was repeatedly told to wipe my face. Apparently, I looked like a small child eating ice cream...leaving food on my face without shame. That was the fastest I have eaten in quite some time. I definitely missed that queso! I forgot about their salsa area. Choose whatever salsa you want? Yes, please. I hadn't had Mo's since about 2005, so I will proudly accept any judgements from people that observed my sloppy consumption of that delicious Mo's. Unfortunately, I did get a little sick... Perhaps their food isn't quite what my stomach can handle anymore. I can't go there on a regular basis, but I definitely wish I could.

My go to place for a quick bite to eat. I normally can be found at Moe's around lunch time on a Monday for the 5 dollar burrito special. I'm not much of a meat person so I normally have to advise them to reduce the meat quantity. Sometimes they listen and sometimes they don't. It's a toss up. I love the amount of topping choices, 50+ drink machine, salsa selection, and free chips that come with the burrito. The pineapple cucumber salsa is happiness.

I saw this being built in, on lower Vets for months. Eventually, I looked for the company online and found a Menu and a Mission Statement. The Mission statement stressed the intention to, whenever possible, use the highest quality, even organic and free range food products available. Wow, that sounds great, but also expensive. Well, it is great. The food is high quality, the ingredients are fresh, including the guac and the salsas. But it wasn't that bad. It was actually pretty reasonable. There are plenty of options going from meat all the way, I think, to vegan, and you're not going to break the bank. I've taken my two kids there a few times. they'll actually eat their food. It is a chain, but that doesn't mean the quality isn't there. There is plenty of seating and reasonable parking in a shared lot.

Chipotle style setup with a few more options, but I think the proteins are much better seasoned at similar competitor establishments. Staff greets you with a charmingly enthusiastic "Welcome to Moe's!" upon entering. Branding with respect for the customer is something I can appreciate. I had the funk meister tacos, which are basically a cool way of saying you created your own fresh ingredient based tacos. Guacamole was much better than the tacos. I get that they're going for a more Tex/Mex style approach, but it makes me miss the simple yet effective method of its obvious competitor(s).

Came with my girlfriend a few weeks ago. She LOVES Moe's and was super excited that one opened in Metairie. We split a taco salad and chips w/ queso. That queso is damn good. And the salsa bar is pretty sweet too. I'm sure we'll be back soon enough.

Moe's is a chain, but its great food, especially for the price. If you choose your toppings carefully, if can be pretty healthy too.

Moe's is very similar to Izzo's or Felipe's in town. I always get the burrito bowl which is tasty and filling. There are several kinds of salsa to choose from, which is a plus. I also dig the fancy coke/drink dispenser that they have similar to Wendy's. I always get the Vanilla coke, good stuff...

This was my first time here. Place just opened a week or two ago. I ordered 3 crispy chicken tacos with guac and sour cream; "Overachievers" with meal option included small drink and a side. I got queso. $14.75. Seems pretty steep. Tacos were loaded up though with meat, beans, lettuce, corn relish, guac and s. cream. Sweet tea not sweet at all. Didn't see any kind of frequent-flyer program to earn free meals like what Freebirds and Mission have.

The boys want Moe's. I haven't eaten at one in probably 3 years, so why not. This location wasn't very clean, the ice machine had no ice, and the sweet tea was out. This made the boys less than thrilled. We like sweet tea. I remember now why I only agreed to go to Moe's on Monday when they have their $5 burrito special...I don't really like it. It's just bland food. I got a steak burrito bowl and it was just blah..the guy didn't give me the chips I asked for either. Instead, I ate a few of the boys chips and they were stale so I suppose it's better he didn't give them to me. The only reason I give 2 stars is that they were very nice with my picky 4 year old and put his rice, beans, chicken, and cheese in separate containers and only charged for a kids meal. Next time I will insist on Chipotle if we are going for fast food type burritos.

I go to Moe's Monday almost weekly. You can't beat any burrito for $5 plus chips. The salsa bar rocks and I am obsessed with the very salsa. The employees are very friendly even if they forget to welcome sometimes (I would too if I were as busy as they are). Sometimes they put too much of each topping, but I tried the wheat burrito tonight and it was made perfect. Love Moes!

Welcome to Moe's!!!! So Moe's holds a special place in my heart because I would go there both when I went to Florida State, and then again when I went to LSU. When the chain opened up on Vet's across from Legacy Kitchen, I was a wee bit excited. Thought the staff wasn't as enthusiastic as my college town staffs nor as carefree with the toppings (I really enjoyed the lack of portion control working college students exhibit), they whipped me up a Homewrecker* with steak, no rice and beans (more room for toppings). I like that they have chopped cucumber on the toppings bar, giving it that fresh, extra crunch. I got the chips and queso, and since it was "Moe Monday", I got a little extra cash back in my pocket. They have a salsa bar that's pretty damn good. Right now they have "Three Bears Salsa" because it's juuuuust right, and their Tomatillo is spot on. Dear Maker of Moe's, install that wondrous soda machine in my house, please...with it's 5 or so different ginger ale flavors on it. I know a lot of people think a burrito is a burrito is a burrito, but the flavor was consistent with what I had from Moe's before and reminded me of the good ol' college years. Though I could've had a tad more steak on there, it really ended up being the perfect amount. I also like that the price of guac and sour cream are already built into the price of the Homewrecker so I'm not wondering what all these extra dollars are on my bill. In comparison to other fast burrito joints...I'm probably not giving up Felipe's anytime soon since Felipe's is closer and I really like Felipe's carnitas, but the prices are comparable and the Moe's steak bites were the perfect size to bite out of my burrito. You might be humming Aretha Franklin's intro to "Chain of Fools" right about now, but I'll be back for that salsa bar and wondrous soda machine with God knows how many flavors in it. Homewrecker*: Your choice of protein in a flour or whole-grain tortilla with seasoned rice, beans, all-natural shredded cheese and pico de gallo along with lettuce, all-natural sour cream and handmade guacamole.

Always been happy with them. I usually get hard tacos but tonight was earmuffs night which meant any burrito bowl costs only 5 bucks, so I decided to partake in that. They are generous with the protein portion, way better than Chipotle. Free chips and salsa is just icing on the cake.

Why do they have the clear windows going way above my shoulders to where the guy behind the counter had to keep asking me to repeat myself, again? And to where he got pretty flustered with me. I mean you got the vent from the kitchen or whatever that loud noise from the grill was, the music, customers chit chatting over food going on in addition to that soooo... Why? Again? Lol whatever. Then I had to raise my voice so he can hear me better, got the customers who were eating there looking at me like I was a total... (Ahem). Annnyyywaaayyys, aside from the service, the food was good. In the end everyone was happy. I stuffed my 12inch tortilla wrap with steak, rice, the chipotle ranch, and etc. it was good. The salsas station has this pineapple cucumber salsa and also this cilantro and lime salsa= bomb. Pretty good burrito.

Still a fan of this place. Stopped by yesterday for some nachos on way home. All good until I get home and open my bag... cheese sauce all over the bag. Top wasn't secured completely when bagged. I'll survive but next time will definitely check before I leave.

Food is waaaay overpriced for what you get. My daughter wanted just simple nachos. Beans and meat and cheese. I paid roughly $10 and it wasn't even that much food. Also, it's annoying every time the door opens and they all yell "Welcome to Moe's" The owner of the company could have out more though into something else to make people know what they are known for when you enter their establishment. Plus I watched two old people nearly have a heart attack as they were greeted "yelled at" when they entered the building. I won't eat their anymore for two reasons. Overpriced and stupid yelling every time a door opens.

Moe's is my alternative to McDonald's, Wendy's, BK. I get the whole grain tortilla burrito with grilled chicken, etc. It's a good place for what they offer, and you get fast service. You pay about the same for a BK or McDonald meal, but instead a little healthier.

Chipotle, Rubios, Moe's, Izzos, Baja fresh. That's my personal ranking of these chains. Since there's no Rubios here Moe's moves to 2nd in this city. This is a new spacious location. Food is fresh and fast so it will be my #2 in this city while I'm here. Only negative are the aweful re packaged cookies they sell.

The best way to describe this place is "super expensive Taco Bell". Service is good, but extremely overpriced. The advertising on TV got me through the door but unless I'm being treated, I would not spend a red cent. I paid nearly $13 for three hard tacos and an iced tea. Talk about feeling swindled!
(1)Jesca S.
Really? $1.19 for less than an ounce of queso? No choice of cheeses? No choice of tortillas? No shrimp? Bye Moes. Sticking with Izzos!

Disappointing. I was a regular at Moe's in Atlanta. This one recently popped up near where I live. I had to go to the DMV so I decided to go for lunch. The first thing I noticed was that only one person welcomed me to Moe's and that was with an inaudible under her breath mumble. Then when I ordered, I asked if she could put my chicken on the grill to heat it up since it tends to be cold, she looked at me as if I was speaking a foreign language and said, "what?" So, I repeated my request. Then she walked to the back as if to confer with someone and then she came back and did as I requested. Well, I got my food, paid for it, and sat down to eat. The chicken was not seasoned enough or possibly at all. I continued to notice that the employees barely utter a mutter when customers walk through the door. Perhaps they don't quite no how it's supposed to be done. This was a rather disappointing visit. I will probably scout out a taco truck someplace.

It was good but I prefer Izzo's. Izzo's burritos are superior, in my opinion. Unless I was going with someone who absolutely wanted to go to Moe's, I don't think I'd go back on my own.
(3)Jamie R.
Nothing really special at all. One of the salsas was hot and I did enjoy the complimentary chips that came with my order but this is just like a Chipotle or a Felipe's.
