Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.

The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.

Three stars for their food. None for service. First time: No problems, food was good... the girl behind the counter had a bit of an attitude problem. Second time: So, I ordered a CHEESEBURGER with fries and a drink... for some reason I didn't get charged for the drink which was kinda cool. I had gone through the drive through, so I didn't open my food until I got home. When I did, there was no cheese! My friend that was with me had ordered some kind of BBQ burger with NO cheese... and guess what. Yup, they put cheese on it. If I want a good burger and I'm in this area, I'm going to Lagers.

It has been 7 months since my last visit to Lee's Hamburgers. They must have listened to people and made a couple changes for the better. My last burger was good but could have had more meat, so i ordered double this time and holy crap was my burger huge. I should have taken a picture but my chubby fingers were being used to hold this monster sized burger. The meat itself was pretty good, and i would say the patty was at least 1/2 inch thick so my double awesomeness burger was about 1 inch thick. The onion rings were the same and great, got some cheese fries to split with my wife, they were great. I got a Catfish boat for next day lunch but after trying some i ended up eat that too. The fish had a crisp clean taste to it, i wish i had some french bread, would have made a killa poboy. We got some Sweet Tea's with our meal, that was probably the only thing i would have changed, it was super sweet almost to the point i was going to add water to dilute. Ow and there drive threw speaker needs to be adjusted, it is overly loud and bad feedback.

Best burger in town for me. Love their fries and iced tea too. I deducted one star because they don't always cook the burgers right. Sometimes they are simply browned evenly (not right). The meat, salt, and onions make a perfectly crispy outside which I find essential to the perfect burger. And it works as long as the burger is seared on a hot grill, but sometimes it isn't. Other than that, no complaints. Just good eats.

It was a cold and wet afternoon sitting in the drive-thru. Despite the 5 car pile-up in front of me, the line moved relatively fast. I was *only* sitting on Vets for 10 min. before I was able to pull into the parking lot which was littered by signs from the nearby dentist's office. (NO PARKING unless you want to be TOWED- by several different companies.) Service was quick and efficient and less than 5 minutes after ordering, I received my basic burger- dressed- add mushrooms. I got the combo so I could sample their fries. Burger- meat was a good portion. Had a great flavor to it and was seared properly. Toppings were average. Double pickles (yum!) and mushrooms were grilled with garlic (as it should be!) Major point off for a soggy bun despite it only sitting on my stuff for less than 5 mins. Another point off for using generic white bun (no sesame seeds, not toasted) that was very forgettable. Fries- barely hot and soggy. Only thing good about them was that they weren't drenched in salt. Overall, food was decent. There was nothing special about the food or delivery. Definitely a step up from fast food but definitely nothing to write home about. Probably won't go back since we've got plenty of great places that serve burgers. Might only go back to support local. Good- pictures on their drive-thru menu. I love knowing what I'm getting. Meh- Food. Service. FYI, can't tip on credit cards. Bad- parking situation.

Pretty delicious burger! Stick with the fries instead of onion rings (if you do get the onion rings then you are going to need some ranch to help wash em down). Lee's burger is best while its hot, I do not recommend going drive-thru then driving 10-15 mins to get home because it doesn't taste the same when cold.

I work at Petco as the dog trainer & go to Lee's when I don't have time to make dinner, I love the food. You get more than what you pay for. Everyone is super polite & always smiling. The owner, Sherry greets everyone before they're even IN the door! I tell all my customers in my Dog Training classes to check them out. Best burgers I've ever had!

If you're looking for fancy wagyu burger on a toasted croissant topped with shaved fontina and roasted asparagus, you should probably get the heck out of Metairie because there is absolutely nothing inside of its borders that will cater to your interest. (That does sound freaking delicious now that I've said it though, doesn't it??) If you're looking for a cheap, no-frills, old fashioned hamburger this is your place. Welcome. You can get it dressed any way you'd like, as long as that way corresponds to one of the five or six different styles they offer on their menu. All the burgers are griddled with finely diced onions (think White Castle/Krystal style) and the cheese they use to top them is grated, which allows for easier and quicker melting. The combo is a steal and includes a drink and either French fries or onion rings. (They also offer hot dogs and chicken sandwiches, but lets be realistic: you're not coming here to get a hot dog or a chicken sandwich, are you?) Reminds me a bit of the neighborhood mom-and-pop burger joints I ate at when I was a kid, so they also get definite points for nostalgia. Oh, and there's even a drive-thru, in case you want to get your burger to go.

I have always enjoyed Lee's. Good burgers. The food is always served fast and fresh. I take advantage of the grilled chicken sandwich quite often. I'm on a very low carb, no sugar, high protein diet. They offer a decent chicken sandwich in addition to the burgers. You can make it a "double" for $1.25 extra. I think that's an awesome deal. I sort of wish they would charge more for the extra chicken because I know it's more expensive than the burger and I almost feel guilty when I order it. I tell them to keep the bun and it makes a perfect low carb lunch and dinner :) They also offer chili, good fries/onion rings, and milkshakes. All sandwiches come with your choice of grilled or raw onions. Good stuff! Thank you Lee's for the low carb option, too. It's not easy to find at a drive thru! :)

Not the biggest fan of their onion rings. I think the rings I got had sat out a while becase they were slightly colder than lukewarm. The burger is 5 stars all the way!!!

I do not agree with other reviews about poor service! The staff was extremely friendly and tended to me once I walked through the door! I am new to NOLA, so my friends knowing that I love a good burger recommended Lees. Telling me stories of how it has been a staple with them since childhood I just had to give it a try. I ordered a double cheeseburger fully dressed and a large cheese fry. The burger was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of toppings. My fries were delicious. They were just the right temperature and were loaded with gooey cheese! The interior kind of reminds me of an old school diner with vintage booths and a huge jukebox in one corner.

Burgers are very good, shrimp sandwhich is good and inexpensive. Fries are perfect, dry and crispy like I like them. Good service, very friendly. Could use a self-serve fountain, but BFD. Parking kinda stinks.

I went here after driving around and just could. It find anything that sounded good. I can't remember the last time I HAD FUN at dinner. The staff is funny, friendly and energetic - and the food was great too. I had "The Works" burger and onion rings and it was awesome. Will definitely ray here again next time I'm in town.

Tried the Lee's drive through today. It's not a super quick drive through experience but my catfish sandwich was ample, fresh, cooked perfectly and hot. It was worth a few more minutes for a bit more quality. The fish was tasty but a bit on the salty side.

We were driving around and picked this place Moooyaah Burgers. The fries were extremely hot n fresh. We ordered the Steak burger and The Works. Both we great, we always drove by this place and ignored it, but now it will be in on our routine. The guy that wrote about it being worse than Buds Broiler was lying and i'm a bud broiler fan. They are a bit slow, but they are cooked to order so its understandable. Will return.

A few people kept telling me about this place and I'm soooooo mad at myself for not coming here sooner. I don't have anything but good things to say about this place. I've been at least three times in the past three weeks. I've tried the hamburger, cheeseburger, fries (of course) and shrimp basket...all have been good each time without any deviations from quality. Service is always great. I'll be back again to try the shakes...the machine was down the last time I went and the other times it was pretty cold for having a shake....just gives me another reason to go back again. lol

Theses burgers are really good. The patty is homemade with grilled onions in it... (I love this)! Seasoned just right with a lil salt and pepper. All drinks are one size (abt 12 oz) for $.80... not a bad deal. The only negative I'll mention, which is really not a problem for me but for my husband and I'm sure most guys, is that the burger is a tad bit small (just a lil bigger than a McD's cheeseburger so you may wanna get 2 or make it a double meat! #eatup

Unimpressed. Poor service (they lost my order ticket) and the burger was average. Bud's Broiler is much better.

This place is great! It represents an American past time of what a burger place should represent. With everyone opening up new burger places to be hip and different, they seem to miss out on the fact that it's the basics of what makes a great burger a great burger. I've been here many times it never skips a beat in quality and service.

My exact words to my husband were "That is not what you would expect to get from a drive-thru." They use shredded Cheddar instead of sliced and grilled onions instead of raw. The meat isn't a patty as much as loose ground beef. All of this comes together to make a dynamite burger. Their onion rings were really good, too. Great little spot I'm happy we stumbled upon.

I agree with the consensus, Lee's Hamburgers rate four stars. Went there on Saturday for lunch twice in the past 4 months. There was a nice crowd, that consisted of young families, middle-age couples, as well as seniors. We had no problems with the service or the food. Hamburgers were tasty, probably because they were fresh. I ordered "dressed"and my partner ordered "the works." Both were very good. A nice change from poboys. Go to Lee's if you want simple but good tasty hamburgers.

Can here based on Yelp reviews. People of New Orleans listen to me. These are not 4 star burgers. New Orleans May be the Cajun food capital of the universe but you'll have to come to Chicago for a burger done right. This burger is machine made and on a bun that looks like it was the generic brand at WalMart. Cheese wasn't even close to being melted on the burger. Staff behind the counter were friendly. We did have to clean our own table when we came in.

Today I took a trip down memory lane(Drive Thru) today..back to one small patch of pleasure and relief that I experienced in the final miserable week of September 2005 in the aftermath of Katrina. I'd come back to close out the apartment of my then, soon to be fiancee, soon after that ex-fiancee. As I cruised the littered streets of Metairie in my Big Yellow 21' Hertz truck salvaging perfectly good throw aways(Like the $1900 refrigerator that the disposers had CLEANED that worked PERFECTLY!) there was little respite to be found. It was hot..it was bleak..it was sad..it was infuriating..and..did I forget to mention it was hot? I emptied the apartment all by myself after a few days of prepping in between my salvage runs. One of the neighbors said "You are in your element..like Mad Max" Pretty astute observation..I had started drawing plans for bomb shelters at about 12 years old. Shortly after that I had purchased a survivalist classic "Life After Doomsday" by Bruce D Clayton(a great book for the survivalist on your Christmas list). What I realized was that in that time after Katrina...we experienced the closest thing to apocalypse that anyone in the United States had endured in it's entire history. One thing that became pretty apparent..after the Fall(Society..Not Autumn)...restaurants are gonna be damn hard to find. That was the case after Katrina..in a time when most people had no kitchens, much less electricity or gas. Dining options tended to be limited to MREs, canned stuff.. or Red Cross meals. I had brought sandwich stuff in my 7 day ice chest with my precious ice all the way from Alabama..but Ohh for something fresh and hot... It was at THIS location of Lee's, one of the very first restaurants reopened that I found air conditioning..and hot food. The Menu was limited.. burgers..Fries..Not much else.. The wait was close to 30 minutes..but nobody cared..there was AIR CONDITIONING. I had ordered a Double Works..and when it came..and I bit in.. it was one of the most pleasant experiences of my life..sure it was because of the stark contrast from days of hard work in the heat and no other good hot food...but even in normal times Lee's burgers are much better than most chains. This brings me to today..I ordered the same thing but they had onion rings this time..I got the large.. When I sat down, that first bite took me back those 5 years to that bit of civilization on a bun that had given me such relief. It was juicy, it was hot, it was sloppy and it was good. What else can you expect from a burger cooked under onions? My mountain O onion rings(can I get a kiss?) were DAMN good also.. It may have taken the destruction of New Orleans and 5 years of nostalgia..but..this location earned this 5 star rating from me.
