Its nice to finally have a cafe place around here (just found out about it). The location isn't hard to find either. Good food and service! Good place to go for lunch. I had the shrimp and pork spring roll and it was delicious!! Also got myself a lychee bubble tea. Interesting taste. I like it. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. Also will visit again.

The place is very small and simple, but they have the best Bubble Tea on Earth! They use real fruit! Every time my friends and I go to New Orleans, we stop by and get a bubble tea! My favorite is the avocado Bubble Tea! It is terrific. I highly recommend this place!

  • Jenna C.

I'm not sure I would ever go here for the food again. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it, just not exactly my cup of tea. Howeverrrrrr I suggest you go there and order yourself a bubble tea immediately. I could drink one of these everyday. The strawberry is the best I've had so far, the raspberry is good also and so is the mango! I would love to try their hazelnut and mocha as well so I plan on going again very soon to do so! Don't forget to tell them you do want the tapioca in it or else you are really missing out!!! Yum yum yum!!

Wow. I had no idea this place even existed until a friend suggested that we go here for lunch. This is a small Vietnamese cafe disguised as a coffee shop! When you walk in you are struck by how super small the place is, but the menu is extensive. They have all kinds of different types of Pho and other Viet treats, as well as bubble tea. When you walk in, you order at the counter and then pick a seat and wait for your meal. I ordered the wonton soup. It was so good and was very generous with the wontons and pieces of beef. The broth was tasty and I got so much that I couldn't even finish it all! It was the perfect lunch. If I am ever in Metairie and craving Pho, I will definitely return to Frosty's.

GREAT bubble tea. Best in New Orleans. My aunt that lives in New Orleans took me here when I visited. They have the best fresh bubble tea here! They completely use fresh fruits and have a large variety. I have tried the strawberry, avocado, and mango flavors with much satisfaction. Not only do they sell bubble tea, but they have food as well. I would recommend to go here for the bubble tea over anything else. From looking at the awards on the store walls, they have local recognition within the area. Support local businesses!

Great bubble teas! Avocado is my absolute fave. . .I know it might sound weird to have an avocado drink, but it's made with sweetened milk so it masks the veggie taste. Friendly people.

A hidden gem in the fat city !!! This place should be more popular than it is now, but it's kinda small and out of the way. The food is amazing ! all of them ! Hubby and I recently discovered the place; we've tried many different dishes and not once disappointed. wait, theres more! their bubble teas are bubbliciousssss ! Come and see for yourself!!!

This is an extremely small restaurant that I passed by on my way to another destination. I finally came back to check it out, and I am glad I did. The wait staff is friendly. You order and pay at the counter, then choose your table. The menu is good. I enjoyed my meal and was able to eat at a leisurely pace without being rushed.

Love this place! Smoothies are all fresh fruit yet so refreshing and...AMAZING! The food here is great! The way they marinate their food is just perfect! Such kind staffs! Never a disappointment coming here! The parking a little weird but it's ok to manage! Either than that I love this place!

GREAT RESTAURANT! A REAL HIDDEN JEWEL. Food is excellent-all dishes. Service is excellent. Ambiance is very good. Great place to go for an excellent, reasonably priced meal that is a great din ing experience. TOP NOTCH VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT!

Best bubble tea on this side of the river. I said it. I'm not taking it back. Wide range of fresh fruits available and they make your bubble tea to order.... everything from your basic mango and pineapple fare to more exotic selections like jackfruit and durian. And they have a huge selection of jelly and boba add-ins, too! It's a tiny little shop sandwiched between a decorative glass store and an insurance office. There's really maybe only five tables in the whole place so things can get kinda cramped inside. I live/work nearby so I usually get my orders to go. Honestly there are better places to get pho, even on the east bank, but their banh mi selection is decent. And the spring rolls aren't bad, either! Mega points for (weirdly enough) the music. It seems like every time I'm in there they're playing the same cd of songs from spaghetti westerns (think Clint Eastwood, the Man With No Name, et al) played on traditional Vietnamese instruments. It's kind of amazing.

  • Christopher M.

I'm not much on bubble tea and didn't drink any, but I did have a really good bowl of pho. I definitely plan on going back. If bubble tea is your thing, you might want to check it out, because they have all kinds of bubble tea.

Frosty's Caffe is a small, FAMILY owned & worked restaurant. They have recently expanded within this year to include more seating, though. So, reviews complaining of being cramped are outdated. Hands down, they have the BEST bubble tea! I've been going here for over 10 years for them. They use FRESH fruit & REAL milk! There is a huge selection of fruit and other choices, such as green tea or vanilla latte. My favorites are: Watermelon/Cantaloupe for fruity/refreshing, Banana/Coconut for milky goodness, and Vanilla Latte with coffee jelly & the regular tapioca pearls for my alternative to a frappuccino. I have only ever had their shrimp spring rolls and vegetable pho. My reason for little variety is because these dishes are sooooo good that I literally go back about once a week craving it. The pho broth is what really knocks my socks off. I could drink it!

  • Remahn F.

Had that craving for beef pho, so I ordered just that. Menu specified it included beef brisket along with beef meatballs. When it arrived, there were no beef meatballs, so I inquired about that. The chef told me that I needed to request beef meatballs with my beef pho from now on. He said they don't usually put them in the soup unless it's upon request, even though there wasn't anywhere on the menu that stated I needed to request ingredients that were already included in the menu description. Kind of disappointing. Also two of us went here and didn't feel that good afterwards. However, they were generous on basil and cilantro which most places aren't, and their broth was ok.

  • Cristy C.

Not much to say really. Their bubble tea is good, but I don't like the gummy pearls. The food is good, but I don't like the environment. The tables are way too close together, not enough space... Plus, they have the strangest hours... they don't stay open past 6 or 7. And usually I eat around then. So the hours are very inconvenient. I'd honestly rather go somewhere else.

  • Paulo L.

Great smoothies/bubble tea! The dining area could have been better, along with the parking lot. Getting out would be painful on a busy day. Fortunately, we were there when it wasn't packed. Customer service was fine. She seemed irritated to take our orders, a smile always goes a long way.

    (4)
  • Sonu M.

Have not tried the food but great bubble teas- have become addicted. LOVE THE FRESH FRUITS they use for their smoothies and NO High fructose corn syrup! The gentlemen were very friendly and gave great customer service. My only concern is that I might spend too much money here ! LOVE IT .

I have tried bubble tea all over the country. Frosty's the THE BEST I have ever had.

We had stumbled upon this lil place by accident one night, driving around for late night food on Veterans. We finally gave it a shot after reading all the great reviews about their bubble tea and because the bf and I were craving bubble tea. Bubble tea: I ordered the mango and he had the taro. The taro was not like the taro bubble tea we are used to. It tasted good but almost like they used real taro root to make it. The Tapioca Pearls were perfectly made though. My mango bubble tea with milk was tasty! I could taste the fresh mango in it. I will definitely come back to try all the other flavors. So far, this place is my fave bubble tea place in Metairie. Food: The pork chop over rice was awesome!!! and you cannot go wrong with a fried egg on top. The Fried rice was not as tasty, but lesson learned. Oh and both dishes came with a fried spring roll which were sooo good! This place has authentic vietnamese written all over it. and so will definitely come back to try the Pho! This lil spot is definately worth a try!

  • Roger T.

Skimpy Pho. Light on meat. Did nor include the brisket as per menu. The eye round was theown in the broth with so little concern the slices were.stuck together in the bowl. Not bad, just not great. Go to Pho Bang, get more and better soup.

    (3)
  • Alexandra K.

Their bubble tea is solid. I got the Taro with bubbles. They had decent pork egg rolls with sweet and sour sauce. The skin of the egg roll was thin and crispy, and it was quite greasy from deep frying but the flavor was yummy.

  • Ivan B.

Hands down one of the best bubble drink or bubble tea places I have been to in NOLA. I always need my tapioca peal fix every once in a while or I will go crazy. I think I have found my spot! This tiny Vietnamese cafe was a little hard to find but it was worth it! They use fresh fruits for their smoothies and make a variety of teas and milk teas. I ordered the jasmine tea bubble drink, but I want to try a blended smoothie next time. I also ordered the fried rice and it smelt sooo good. The taste was very very good as well. The workers were very friendly to me and the man smiled at me with a thank-you as I left. I felt very welcome and will gladly return for some more!

  • Shannon S.

This is a really cramped space and you really get no service after ordering. The chicken pho here is not as good as Pho Nola or Pho Orchid's. They seem to cook their pho very hot and fast here as they have the hottest broth temperature I've ever experienced from a pho and the chicken had an over boiled texture. The food isn't terrible it just isn't nearly as good as other nearby Vietnamese places and for the same price I can actually get a little service and get my tea refilled at those places.

    (2)
  • Cathleya F.

When I want bubble tea, I go here. It's a small place, but they serve pretty good bubble teas. The only thing I had here that I didn't really like was their Thai Tea. Thai Tea is my favorite, but when I got it here .. it didn't taste right. Or maybe I just came on a bad day, who knows? I'll try it again next time. Whatever, I like this place. And I'll keep coming here. My favorite flavors here: Avocado, Strawberry and Taro. DA BEST.

    (4)
  • Peter N.

Had the watermelon the other day, the tapioca balls are too hard and chewy.. the watermelon was decent flavor, had better. Probably won't be back to this one.

  • Ryan W.

I love this place. I say get a Hondey Dew Bubble tea with no milk.

    (4)
  • Angela C.

Sorry folks, I am not giving into the hype. Maybe the bubble tea is amazing, I'm not a big fan. There are more important things I want to do with my calorie allowance anyway. But, still, they are a Vietnamese quick joint, so I would expect the food to be better. I must say that their Pho broth is really good - a bit too greasy probably for most people, but you can taste a lot of great flavors in there. The broth saved Frosty's from 1 star rating from me. However, the noodles, the meat, the fried spring rolls (not even real vietnamese spring rolls, they were like chinese spring rolls), and the banh mi were all disappointingly mediocre. And the selection was just plain sad - beef pho or chicken pho. That's it, nothing else to choose from. What happened to my tendon, my naval, my omasa, and my brisket?? Those are all staples in my pho, so at least give me the option! If you're looking for a real Vietnamese restaurant, go elsewhere if you know what's good pho you. ---------- P.S. if you're in the immediate area looking for Pho, go to Pho Orchid. The broth is not as good as Frosty's, but it's good enough and they are very general with their meat + fixins on the Pho. Overall, way better experience, same $ and also bubble tea available.

  • Argeau B.

The biggest problem with this place is the size. At peak times they can probably only serve a bit over 20 people. I've eaten here more than 30 times and I love it, except I go out of my way to come during off hours otherwise it's just too uncomfortable to sit and eat as the place is small and the tables are congested. This place has some of the best Pho in the region.

    (4)
  • Blue L.

Bubble tea here is not that good and the pho is very average. The only reason people come to this place is because it's basically the ONLY boba/milk tea house in the city. It has a monopoly on the busness because people have no better choice. It falls FAR behind bubble tea places in Los Angeles, SF, and New York City. I wish the owner would get with the program and upgrade their tea so that it's on par with Lollicup, Tenren, and other established bubble tea shops on the East and West Coast. New Orleans deserves good milk tea too!

  • Jennifer M.

This use to be my old stomping ground when I worked at UAL, RIP, in Metairie. Needless to say that was some time ago. I was running errands when I remembered Frosty's cafe. I stopped by to see if they were still around and to my surprise they were. I love love love their vietnamese coffee. I also had a poboy and it was better than I remembered. .

    (4)
  • Bobby D.

The best bubble tea in the area, hands down. None of that jive powder sh*t, it's all fresh here! The traditional Vietnamese cuisine is pretty good too, and inexpensive.

    (5)
  • Anh V.

I've been to this place a couple of times now to try their fresh fruit bubble tea. First of all, the cashier behind the counter was neither nice or accommodating. Whether it was her broken English or her attitude that day, she was HARSH and UNHELPFUL. Second, WHY would you put "with or without milk" on your menu if you say "have to have milk" with your drink? I know that these places use milk as a filler because they are too cheap to give you the appropriate amount of fruit to fill the cup. Thirdly, why is it such an amazement that fruit is used? Any place that use powder instead should be out of business. This does not impress me at all that they use fruit. Also, their tapioca was OVERCOOKED and CHEWY. Fourthly, the place is cramped and parking is terrible. You have to go on an off hour to not get trapped in the hell they call a parking lot. If you want to taste fruit bubble tea that has no filler and wonderfully cooked tapioca and jelly as well as quick and fast service, you should try Paradise Smoothie in Baton Rouge, LA. This place has THE BEST fruit bubble tea I have tasted.

  • Joshua C.

Don't care to decide whether they've the best bubble teas in town, but they're super good - my favourite in fact. They'll put extra pearls if you ask. The food here is also very tasty.

Bubble tea is fresh fruits! Business hours is unusual. Food is decent..small dining area and weird hours. Call before you go

  • Adam S.

This place has the *best* bubble tea smoothies I've had *anywhere*, and I've been all over the USA. They use fresh fruit, and get the sweetness *just* right. Whenever I go to the New Orleans metropolitan area, I have to make a special trip to get my Frosty's fix. On top of the bubble teas, they have some darn good Vietnamese food as well. I'm especially partial to the Vietnamese Poboys. They have a wonderfully spicy kick!

  • Summer Z.

Oh Frosty's, you and your leigon of bubble tea options make me happy. Some times, you find yourself in metarie. why not reward yourself with a trip here? The thing that really sets Frosty's apart is the fact that all of their bubble teas are made from real ingredients, as opposed to powdered flavors. And, they also have the o-so-important option of lychee stars instead of tapioca bobas. Yum. Oh, and their pho is quite good, if memory serves. It's a cute little shop with a very few tables, but it's totally worth hanging out for a bowl of pho. It is definitley on the lower price end, but still tastes quality. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I'm a lazy new orleanian who doesn't like the schlep out to metarie, and it's kind of tough to actually find it. But it's sooooo worth it if you can.

  • Nick B.

The best bubble teas in the city, fresh fruit only and great food too. Vietnamese crepes, fresh spring rolls and vermicelli noodles topped with beautiful shrimp and pork. Service isn't friendly though.

  • Robert H.

So if you feel like feeling you are in a bad video game, this is the place to go. And of course that is the feeling you want. Let me note that I have had a few beers before writing this. The prices are decent and cheap, then again so are most of the Vietnamese places around here. But the food here is delicious. And the bubble tea is wonderful, they even have fresh fruit to put in it. It would get a higher rating if the pho had a fresher and more pungent garnish of cilantro.

    (4)
  • Jared M.

This place is awesome. The bubble teas are the best I've ever had and the food is really good too. The prices arent too bad. The taro here is better than any youll find.

    (5)
  • D V.

Ordered the pho tai for my son. He wasnt happy with it. He likes the authentic noodles that normally come in the pho. Dont know if this is always or just this particular day but they used what was vermicilli-like noodles. Guess what - it makes a difference. Not sure if we will try another time.

I just revisited after seven years and nothing has changed - best fruit slushie/smoothie in NOLA. And rice dishes are excellent.

    (4)
  • Steve I.

So just had lunch here and had the beef stew and watermelon bubble tea. The beef stew was alright. It had a little bit too much fat though. I've had the pho here before and they don't put that much beef IMO. I think there are quite a few places better suited for your pho cravings in the city. Their bubble teas are excellent here and I give Frosty's an extra star just for the bubble teas.

    (3)
  • Adolfo A.

Best vietnamese food in Louisiana. I've had better in other cities, but this place is the best of the best in the state. Their focus on flavor is apparent when ordering the crepes or bun cha. Their shaken beef is bursting with flavor, veggies are always fresh. Another thing frosty's does really well is bubble tea. They have managed to find a happy medium between the mix and real fruit. They also have different flavored lychee and coconut jelly that is not as sweet as their competitors which accents instead of overpowering your drink. Give this hole in the wall a go. You will not be disappointed.

I was in the unenviable position of having to run an errand at Lakeside Mall on a Saturday afternoon. Luckily, that gave me an excuse to pass by Frosty's for a bubble tea and lunch. By no means do I claim to have extensive knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine and flavors, but the bun bo xao (stir-fry beef, rice noodle, peanuts, salad) made for a great lunch. The location keeps me from visiting often (I'm an avowed Metairie-phobe), but the friendly service and price will keep me as a repeat customer.

  • Mimi D.

Bubble Tea, Vietnamese sandwiches, rice with shaken beef, oh my!! It used to get extremely packed during lunch hours, but lately I've noticed that it isn't as busy. I love their bubble tea. Honeydew, watermelon-cantelope, avocado, mango are some of the flavors that I always get with some lychee jelly. Drools... The food they serve there is also as yummy. I've tried about 3-4 items on their menu and everything has been delicious. The banh mi (Vietnamese Poboy) is my favorite from around the city. I haven't found any other place that makes it like they do. The rice with shaken beef is equally mouth watering. They serve it with their special sauce, which I haven't been able to replicate. If you're not in the mood for Vietnamese food, they also serve salads. I've had their mango and avocado salad with chicken and honey mustard dressing and I am stuffed by the time I am done. Big salad!!

i try to get my boyfriend to drive me out to metairie daily just to get the taro bubble tea (my car appears invisible on the nola highways, so i absolutely refuse to drive to metairie--unless getting my car serviced, as of course the only dealership in 'nola' is really in metairie). as it takes ages to get to metairie from uptown (to me), i get the 32 oz one. They use real taro root, AMAZINGLY good, best bubble tea i've found since leaving seattle! and this one is way better than the bubble teas at the other 2 frostys!

  • Marcaroni O.

A good quick lunch place, (limited menu) in Metairie -- I always get C5 or F1. C5 is the Bun (rice noodles) with shrimp and char-broiled pork, a standard in VN joints, F1 is a crepe -- thin crispy eggs folded with shrimp and other stuff -- then I saw the same thing made on tv show in VN, so that validated authencity for me. I don't do bubble tea -- way too many calories -- but the fresh fruit he uses looks great. You can be in and out in 30 minutes, and with ice tea (priced a bit high at $2-2.50), you spend about 12 bucks. Pho Orchid is good too, with a bigger menu, but not as fast. I get my Pho at Pho Bang

    (4)
  • Lisa G.

BEST Bubble Tea ever! I've had it many other places but Frosty's gets it right every time. The selection is amazing as well. Don't buy your bubble tea anywhere else or you will be getting an inferior product.

    (5)
  • Dan C.

yes, this has become one of my cures for the summer sweats. The drinks are consistently good and the food is good and filling also. My one complaint is that there is always some sort of little misunderstanding whenever I order there. the pricing on the drink menu for example never works out right, maybe they just haven't updated their menu. Also double check your order. there are so many drink options things get lost in the rush

  • Ricky G.

Who would think a pork chop over white rice could taste so good? I saw the reviews here on Yelp and had to try Frosty's for myself. I got the Pork Chop over white rice. It cost $7.95. It came with a Tomato Cucumber Salad and an egg roll. Add Fish Sauce, and it was a really tasty meal. They must have marinated the Pork in a sweet marinade. It had a wonderful flavor. My rating is really more like 4 1/2 stars, with a small ding for the place being a little warm (it's October, so the weather is mild outside) and cramped. But it was packed at lunch, so obviously many others agreed this is Good Eats.

the best bubble tea in Metairie! also great noodle dishes and spring rolls!!! The Pho is awesome on a cold day!!!

  • Dana-il H.

Frosty's Cafe, Baaaabbby! You go da Vietnamese food, but you keep coming back for the bubble tea. Obviously the brain child of Westbanker, Frosty's has won numerous rewards for being both the best and by far, the smallest Vietnamese restaurant in the GJA (greater Jefferson area). The decor is a mixture of Al Copeland's Christmas lights, those white porcelin lucky cats, and a menagerie fresh fruit. I really recommend the bubble tea. I have friends who go there just to suck the bubbles out of the tea! Closes early, so go before ya get to ya mama's house.

  • Laura R.

Never gone here for the food. That bubble tea is fucking awesome. I say, get mango (no pearls for me!). The mango is absolutely fabulous. Just go!

  • Lizzy N.

Ever since spending a few weeks in Taiwan, I constantly crave good, real bubble milk tea. Haven't found anything near comparable until I came to frosty's. So good and doesn't taste fake and powdery at all. Quick service and a typical viet restaurant that I'd find in northern va. We had lunch there as well, can't say I would give the food four stars. I'll have to give it another try. My vermicelli noodles and grilled pork (my fav and usual dish at most Vietnamese places) came out with a puddle of grease on the bottom.

  • Kenna S.

I love the D1 from here. It's always very good. I really don't order anything else, although I have in the past and it's all been good.

    (5)
  • Anthony Y.

Been going here for about 3 years now. I love the Boba Tea Smoothies. The entrees are ok. Its not a fancy place, just good Vietnamese food. I'd definitely recommend this place for Boba Tea smoothies. They're my top pick for that. Always fresh and delicious!

    (4)
  • Christina T.

Yum!!! I guess it's good this place is a little out of the way for me, or else I would be stopping in on a daily basis for a bubble tea. The service is always fast and friendly, which of course is a perk. The parking at Frosty's is a little odd, but nothing too stressful.

  • Clayborne H.

I eat here every Friday since I work nearby. Ive never once been disappointed. Frostys is quite literally a mom and pop joint. They always provide great quality service and food even though they are usually under staffed. The owner is very hardworking. It is much better than Pho Orchid across Veterans. Frostys Bun is the best Ive ever had. The vermicelli, pho, banh mi and spring rolls are the best in Metairie. All of the bubble teas and milk teas are also delicious. This is THE place for Vietnamese food.

    (5)
  • Kevin L.

Fresh fruity bubble teas without the use of powders or food coloring. Pho ga was equally as delicious but wished they had given me more than 6 slices of chicken. Broth was clear, with plenty of body. 1 star off for portion size to cost. Happy eats!

  • Hailey D.

Bubble tea, spring rolls, pho, doesn't matter what it is. Everything I've had is SO GOOD!

    (5)
  • Sheri C.

I am not a fan. My coworker liked this place so we ordered and I thought I'd try. I got shrimp vermicelli, my standard. The sauce was. .. GROSS, to say the least. The spring roll was good. taro bubble tea, no good. The flavor was way off. Eek, I'm getting goosebumps thinking about it. I really wanted to like it, vc I love my anemone vermicelli. But I cannot.
