There is no reason to go here. We were passing through and needed some food. The service was awful, the food was bland and drooping with butter. Over an hour to get our food, and one in our party had a mosquito in his food. The bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a month. Even Dennys is way better than this place. I wanted to like it since it's local, but I just can't recommend it.

I really enjoy this place. I particularly like the chicken Parmesan, and they give you plenty. If I ask for extra bread, they give it to me no problem. Lots of places charge extra for that. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

I must have gone on a off day for them. I was driving around in that area trying to decide where to eat, have not been in this area in over 2 years. So my wife and i both agreed to go back to Corner Cafe since we both had good experiences last time we went. Pulling up they are located between a snowball stand and laundry mate. I was craving a poboy and wife wanted gumbo, we went to order and they were out of both. So i asked if i could get a sandwich that came with ham & roast beef to get turkey instead. We also ordered the sampler and a 6 inch shrimp. Ok the sampler was um great and sucked, the crab balls were good, but everything else tasted like generic frozen bulk restaurant appetizers ( Nothing fresh ). Then came our sandwiches we almost busted out laughing, they were out of Roast beef but still decided to add there gravy to my ham and turkey. The gravy tasted caned, and the bread was extremely skinny. Also the bread was that rock hard kind, that one bite and you have bread crumbs all over your shirt ( I know many New Orleans natives swear by that type of bread but it still sucks ). The shrimp was ok nothing great, i filled up on fries since that was the best tasting thing with lots of ketchup. I feel really bad saying anything negative about them, the waitress was really nice and so was everyone else sitting around. They looked like they were hurting from the lack of business and had to cut a few corners. Like i said before maybe this was just an off day, and i have had really good food from them in the past. I will go back in the future, might be a couple years but worth giving them another shot. I would not recommend any Poboys unless you like that type of bread and deli meats with Gravy lol but i would say try them if you in the area and want something different.

I thought the eggs were great, get them every week. Eggs BENEDICT not that good. But I have gotten the hamburger thought it was good. Roast beef sandwich was very good. Ham sandwich was also good. The wait staff is very good if you go for lunch or breakfast you don't always get the same server. But each one will treat you like a king and they always remember what you got last time. Gaylynn is one of the server's and she is a kick. I even seen her eat there, I think the place is great. The food is what it is and not everything is going to be great but very good. I will go back and would try anything on the menu it's all good. The coffee is very well priced compared to others in the area and good as well.

This place has gone down hill. You can see the obvious signs that they are barley staying a float and I feel sorry for the owners. This place about 10 years ago was amazing. Everything was fresh and they always had customers. My experience from last week left me a bit sad to see how bad this place has gotten. The food was obviously frozen (onion rings and crab balls) The meat for our sandwiches was the lowest quality I am sure they could get (I would of done much better going down the street to Rouse's and making my own sandwich) I am considering submitting them to Kitchen Nightmare's or one of Gordon Ramsey's shows so they can get some much needed help. The decor is from probably when they opened and is literally falling apart. In the bathroom they had masking tape showing that they painted over to cover a hole and the floors looked disgusting (I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like!) I hope this place can get what they need to get back to their old ways.

The place itself needs some cleaning up it seems dark and dirty inside. On the other hand the food was very good we had the shrimp po boy and cheese fries and our server was very sweet and prompt with our food.

I cannot on any level recommend this cafe. The place is just dirty and the food is awful. Everything comes out of a can, the pancakes were burnt, and everything was slow. I typically enjoy places with some character but none of the character at Corner Cafe was positive.

This is a small family run cafe/restaurant. They do most of their business at breakfast and lunch. I normally get dinner here. They make excellent salads. The grilled shrimp salad is a great buy. Also good here is the chicken parmesan. If I order here I most usually get one of those two items and they are consistently well made. As long as you don't come here expecting more that what they are, you will enjoy the food. There is also a working train that rolls around the entire restaurant which is pretty cool.

The pancakes were fluffy and buttery, the bacon perfectly crunchy, and my poached eggs perfectly done! Service was great... I highly recommend it!

Very good and what i saw others get looked good too. The place is out of the way, the indoors is very sparten and looks just like something that has been just like that since the 50s. I got the blackened catfish with shrimp topping. It was really good. (10 out of 10). My wife got the eggplant Parmesian. Her noodles were overcooked and she gave it an 8. We got some bread pudding for desert and it was also very good. If you want a good place to eat and are not looking for a lot of ambiance then go to this diner type place.

My neighbor gave me a coupon from this place from one of those coupon web sites and it was the last day to use it. We got there and ordered drinks then presented the coupon to the server. She showed it to the owner who denied ever placing that coupon on the site and kept announcing loudly in front of the entire dining room :I"m not honoring that" I regret not paying for the drinks and leaving right then and there. I won't be back. Total bad attitude on the part of the staff. And she repeated that line out load about four times.
