If you are looking for awesome greasy southern fried food, welp look no further!! A tad on the pricey side.but isn't allseafood I mean I ordered scallops catfish and shrimp and I thoroughly enjoyed it it with season to perfection and cook as well inside of the store they also had received I was really impressed I got a military discount but it didn't help much ten percent off 20 bucks not so much help lol.

The pungent smell of fish made it tough to really enjoy the meal. It is neat to see the live crawfish and live pools of catfish, but the smell is too overwhelming to really eat. My catfish po-boy was good, not great and the ladies were all very friendly. Go to the actual restaurant, named Perinos, not the store/lunch spot.

These guys outfitted this out-of-towner with everything I needed for my first crawfish boil. The crawdads survived the plane ride to California and turned out great. Extra props to the girl behind the counter that made the 60 lbs. box look like nothing when she handed it to me.

This place has the best boiled crabs ever and the staff here are really friendly. Its a great place hidden in a small town. If only there was a Perino's Seafood in California. :)

Decided on an oyster po boy for dinner on Ash Wednesday. It was AMAZING! The thing I liked most about it (aside from the juicy oysters) was the bread. It was nice and soft. Now don't get me wrong, I like crunchy and crumby French bread on a po boy as much as the next person, but every once in a while you want to taste more of the goodies in the sandwich than the bread. I feel that some places have a weird bread:sandwich filling ratio and a lot of times the bread over powers the whole thing. That didn't happen here. I also got some fries on the side, but they were just okay. The place is pretty well priced. I don't know what Steven S. was talking about because the foot long stuffed crab is only $8.49, but I digress. Along with the usual seafood po boys, they also have roast beef, sausage and more. I definitely have to go back and try their alligator sausage po boy. They also have different platters that come with fries. I'm always happy to find a good place for a seafood po boy on the Westbank.

The po - boys are ok. The service is extremely rude, but the seafood to buy is top notch.

Shrimp PO boy was OK. Small size was more than ample portion. Plenty of fresh catch choices. Nothing spectacular, but I'm used to coastal Carolina fresh seafood.

Just purchased 2 fried shrimp plates. Horrible! Shrimp were so crunchy they hurt my teeth. At that price, they should have been at least average. Unfortunately they weren't. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I have been here once because I read great Yelp reviews. It was lunch on a Sunday. Ordered foot long stuffed crab po-boy for $11.40, no drinks or sides. Maybe I was expecting too much? Reasons to go: 1) Fresh food. Tanks of crabs, fish & shrimp line the inside of the store. The sandwich was good but not the best or even in the top 5 I have ever had. 2) Local popularity. You won't see many outsiders in here. If it's good enough for the locals, right? 3) Location. Its nestled conveniently on the 90 expressway Reasons to avoid: 1) Pricey. The po-boy was good but not $11.40 good. 2) Order/pay procedure. You order in the back, take the receipt to the front and pay, then go back to the order area and wait for the food. 3) Staff. It appeared to be ran by dad (food prep in the back), mom (stationed at the cash register) and son (taking orders at the counter). Assuming they were working Sunday while the pros were enjoying a day off. The family seemed perturbed that I wasn't familiar with their routine. Their son may know the business inside and out, but that dude should never be in customer relations there. He was cool and did not necessarily have a bad attitude but he wanted to be anywhere but there.

What a great little gem. It's a store/deli/restaurant. All the Louisiana seafood favorites are on the menu. If you don't want to eat at the table, all the fresh ingredients are available for your own seafood boil or oyster bake. I had the crab, crawfish, corn, and potatoes. It was awesome! Staff is friendly and helpful.

While on a mini vacation we stopped by for lunch after seeing the reviews. I ordered the fried seafood platter to share with my husband because it had a little of everything. It was way more than we could eat but didn't matter because it wasn't seasoned at all. The softshell crab was horrible and watery. The only sauces offered were crappy prepackaged condiments. The stuffed shrimp and stuffed crab were basically the same mixture formed to fit around a shrimp and fit inside a crab shell shaped cup. The shrimp, fish and fries were ok. We took most of it with us for the ride home and ended up down the street at a new place called Westwego Seafood right after leaving Perion's. We tried it the night before and it was fantastic! Perino's could've been better. Just use some salt!
