Great food, great prices, and great service. I can always go and enjoy some delicious donuts, or I'll have something whipped up as a breakfast meal. Always a great choice anytime of the day

My food was good, my husband's biscuit sandwich was served cold but they did warm it up upon request , doughnuts were beyond amazing!! Service was ok.... I cannot wait to get back and try something else on the menu... If you are on Barataria, you should try it

I would give it 3 1/2 stars. I come here alot. Not like the best in Marrero, but it is good and the selection is good. Though a little pricey but when we dont wanna cook and Jakes isnt open and the kids dont feel like Mexican, and we dont feel like going too far...we come here. Usually late in the evening. Everytime I come here, no matter what time of day, I get breakfast. My baby gets pancakes, my 10 year old gets crawfish corn soup and my wife gets the coutry friend steak. Well maybe not everytime, we do stray and try something new, check out my pics, but almost everytime its the same :-) When its take out, I grab the mini burgers(castle burgers) for a party or garage sale. On Sundays i get the donuts,............ (Pro tip)... check the paper during the week because there is coupons in there for a dozon donuts for $4.99!! Instead of $7! That is the role this place plays in our eating life. Has something for everyone

Why do I go here? Bacon Maple Logs, that's why. Yeah it does take some time to get your order if certain servers are working, but oh, well. Our food doesn't always come up perfect, but they are always willing to fix it. And did I mention the Maple Bacon Log?

Joe's to me has some of the best doughnuts and pastries, even better than your chain places like Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme. They are huge and remind me of Texas. The prices are always great and the customer service is great as well. My only complaint would be when your dining in the service can be slow sometimes. I know it gets busy in there especially in the mornings but my family and I ordered breakfast and it took an hour and fifteen minutes before our food came. Normally it is not so bad but that day it was really bad. Everyone has their days so that's why overall I love Joes and would definitely recommend it for breakfast. Never had dinner there so I wouldn't know much about that. Also some Joes are open 24 hours and I know it was very convenient for me one day. Had to wake up early for the airport and wanted coffee so bad so I remembered Joes was open. Definitely made me very happy.

Man, I really, really liked this place. First of all, you can build your own omelette, which is nice, and you can order from a large selection of donuts, double nice. You can get a sausage and jalapeño omelette with an apple fritter. The best part though, it's open 24/7 and you can get fancy coffee. Way on down Barataria blvd. if you pass the second Jesus sign, you've gone too far.

Did not meet my expectations. Had the crawfish pasta and "fried fish", smh... I thought it would be WAY better. The fish was placed on the pasta and the sauce from the pasta made the fish soggy. It came with lettuce and tomato salad (no dressing) and toast. No part of this meal was seasoned, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THIS IS NEW ORLEANS AND THE MEAL WAS SEAFOOD BASED!!! Also the service was unwelcoming. It was a lot of that "you need us we don't need you" attitude. Never no more!! I'll keep my $10.85 next time.

While the donuts are good they are not the best you ever had. If you like weak coffee then you will like theirs. Lunch ordered a hamburger through drive-thru parked on side till ready and they brought it out to my car it had a good taste but fries were too browned you could tell they were cooked twice which is common in restaurant business but the first fry should be just a blanching not a full fry. Second time getting lunch here ordered the specials chicken stew and pot roast. While I cannot vouch for the pot roast as I never tasted it I can tell you the chicken stew is not worth even thinking about skip it really folks don't waste your money and don't punish your taste buds. There was about 3 cups of rice 1/2 cup of gravy too many large cuts of potatoes with skin and eyes still on. The abundance of thyme in the stew was very overwhelming that if there were any other seasonings they were lost by the amount of thyme. One very large chicken breast very dry both in taste and gravy.

For anyone who is reading this, I just ordered two roast beef sandwiches from here at about $10.00 apiece for them. When I placed my order I asked for my bread to be grilled and they said that they automatically grilled the bread. When I looked at my sandwich it had no meat on it. I did complained about it. They did give me enough meat to add for one sandwich, but I had to pay an additional $3.25 for additional for the meat for the second one. When I got home and started to eat my sandwich my bread was not grilled. I heard how good their food was so I decided to give it a try. The food was good, but like I said the quantity of meat was poor. As I was waiting for my food they had served a table that was there a plate of Red Beans and Rice. When I seen that plate it looked like you could have made 2 meals off of that one plate. When I called and spoken to one of the workers about the bread she spoke loudly across the restaurant so I can hear the whole conversation, to the person in the the kitchen area it sounded like he was annoyed about the complaint that came in. All the worker said that she would check the order herself next time I come in.

You should never have to wait an hour for fried eggs. It wasn't very busy, we weren't offered a coffee refill until our food finally came. Slowest service ever, and with only mediocre food, it was so not worth it.

It's not often I give a place 5 stars because no one is perfect, right. But when you have the "ability" to put Krispy Kreme (1/2 mile) away out of business you've got something. I added some photos, but that's only half of the story. Donuts the size of 45rpm records, (oops, showing my age) but also since the 45 was around these were the best donuts they had anywhere. In the lovely state of Florida, they have s place called "Debbie Does Donuts". A topless donut shop--ask anyone between Orlando and Saint Augustine. That's what they need to bring in customers. This place in New Orleans doesn't need to exploit women, they have quality workers that go out of their way to make your experience great, and you breakfast a delight. My worker said "this huge donut has bread that is softer than a Hawaiian roll".m

Donuts are very good!! Some of the best I've eaten. They have some creative flavors. I've only had breakfast there, but it's always very good! Coffee is a pretty weak, though.

I just bought The Apple fritter the size of my truck rim. This thing is screaming 7 miles of non stop cardio. Guess I'll be running.... "Now get in my belly! I'm bigger then you!"

Solid 3.5 No frills BF/Lunch spot in Marrero. Their donuts are everything a donut should be; they have quite an assortment. I am partial to the glazed with chocolate frosting and colorful sprinkles. Have you ever seen a more happy donut? Sat at the bar and had breakfast Sunday. (note: don't sit at the very end of the bar if you can help it, dish station is right there and pretty loud). The ladies working behind the counter call you "darlin" and make sure your coffee cup is full. I had the pancakes. Can't go wrong with a short stack of fluffy pancakes! It's Mardi Gras, so they have Kingcakes right now. They are pretty good, get one! Admittedly, I've never had a Kingcake I didn't like.

Some of the best doughnuts, apple fritters, and fried pastries around. The breakfasts are large but go with the simple bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and you will be delighted. The biscuit is the perfect vessel for the sandwich as long as you get it with cheese so that the cheese will melt and glue the biscuit together. Even if it falls apart you will want to pick up and eat the crumbs. The mini-burgers are good too, if you're into those. The apple fritters are great if they have any left. The outside is crispy with a gooey inside all covered in doughnut glaze. They sell out at times which is good because if they do have any they are probably warm and fresh.

One of my favorite spots for southern food in New Orleans! My first time here, I had the sweetest and most bubbly down to earth waitress! And I had the pot roast, it was DEE-LICIOUS!

Time for a downgrade to 2 stars. My mother was visiting from Canada, and requested that on this visit, she wanted to try beignets. Knowing that Joe's is right down the street from us, I figured this was a better alternative in the extreme heat than going down to the super touristy Cafe Du Monde. This was our breakfast stop on Saturday morning. We ordered a little bit of actual food, and then one order of beignets to share at the table. Actually, let me backtrack a little... we came in, and instinctivly went to the counter to order, like one would expect at a coffee/donut shop. They told us to sit down if we were dining in. I figured, ok, great, they have waiter service.. even better! After about 7 minutes of waiting, they took our drink order. They were out of apple juice so we got 3 orange juices and I ordered a cafe au lait (after all, that's required with beignets in my mind). The OJ came quickly. The cafe au lait somehow took 10 minutes to make. I was almost ready to scratch the "au lait" and just ask for a regular coffee, but couldn't find the waitress anywhere until the cafe au lait finally arrived. It was okay, but I've had better just about everywhere. Definitely not worth the wait. My fiance enjoyed his donuts. The beignets were excellent. The waffle that my mother and my toddler split was exceptionally subpar. It arrived lukewarm at best. My omelet... ugh. I ordered it with cheddar cheese, as you apparently have the choice of cheddar or american. I HATE processed fake slimy cheese. When it finally arrived, it had 2 slices of american on top. Luckily, they weren't melted at all, so I just picked those off and tossed them to the side of the plate. No cheese for me. Next I discovered the lovely canned mushrooms inside of the omelet. The sausage and bell peppers were seemingly fresh. The egg itself was coated in so much butter that I couldn't taste anything but butter anyway though. I ate half of it and gave it to the fiance to finish, as the pool of butter on the plate was a major turn off. At the end of it all, the waitress never came by to collect our payment for the food, so we went to the counter to pay - despite being told not to order at the counter in the first place. Would I come back to Joe's? Sure, but only for beignets, which will not be a frequent trip. I haven't found anything else worthy of the exceptional wait time that has apparently become the norm at this establishment.

So I will give them the fact that they have really good donuts and French toast, however it stops there. We sat there for 15 minutes and no one served us. It took me having to ask for a waitress and watch them argue on whose table it was. So our waitress ended up being the person working the drive thru, what sense does that make. As she's taking our order she's taking drive thru orders. No fault to hers but who is running this operation, the manager peeked her head out the back office once every person in the place was waiting on their food. Our food took forever, hash browns were burnt, good French toast and my husband's omelette was covered in butter. Since our waitress was working the drive thru she didn't come get our payment, so I took it to the counter. I politely shared my comments of having the person working the drive thru wait tables makes no semse with one of the waitresses and she didn't say anything. We will only come back for the donuts if we are in the area and everything else is closed.

This is simply bad customer service!! I have been going to joe's off and on as a sunday breakfast stop. The service was tolerable, and food was usually good.....until today. My husband went and got us three dozen mini burgers .....lasts between breakfast and lunch. When he came home we each took one and made an off face; something wasn't right. I ate the first and took one bite of another hoping it was just a fluke, but again very off taste...we summed it up to burnt onions. I went back POLITELY, with the food, to let them know that we couldn't eat it, the onions were burnt and asked for some compensation....since im now out of $25 for alot of food i cant eat AND RETURNED. The waitess was very polite, apologized and was willing to correct the situation by offering donuts. Before finalizing the ordeal, she called the manager to let her be aware and was told to look through all the food and that it was just the seasoning that made the onions that way. So now that my food has been all dug though, I'm expected to take it back or get nothing! No money or other food or anything!!!! It's the principle of the matter. All I got was a burger and a bite of another, that has made me now nauseous from the taste, and a loss of both money and all the breakfast that I had!!!! No consideration! It was a one time problem, but the manager leaves the understanding that its your problem once it's bought.... No matter what you do to be fair.... I won't make this mistake again.

Ehhh. This place is just....what can I say...blahhh. Everything here is just soooo whatever.. My boyfriend and I decided to come here to try something new. Boy were we lucky to come before all the other church people came! There was only one cook, so the other people were going to be waiting A WHILE on this mediocre food. We were the only ones in the place when we ordered, and it still took longer than it should to make what we ordered. I ordered a strawberry waffle and the country breakfast, which includes eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and a biscuit. My boyfriend got an alligator po-boy. While waiting we decided to order some donuts. I got the apple crumble and the glazed bavarian cream, and he got the buttermilk cake. They were just ok. The waffle came out first and was disappointed to see how thin it was. The strawberries and strawberry sauce was too think and sweet, so I had to scrape those off. So not satisfying at all. The breakfast came out and it was just a standard breakfast. Though my boyfriend did seem to be enjoying this sandwich. All in all, I probably wouldn't come back here unless I had to. I'd rather just go to an IHOP or Coffee & to get my late-night fix.
