Blue-collar kind of place. Clean. But don't expect an impressive decor. Food is always good. I've got an open-faced roast beef sandwich for years and it's consistently amazing. Their brewed tea is very good. All around good experience. I go there whenever I'm in the area.

Looking for somewhere to eat after the swamp tour? We were starving after taking in the Jean Lafitte swamp tour. We asked our guide for a local's recommendation and were directed to this restaurant. The restaurant is in an older, unassuming building that might lead you to second guess your decision to try. Behind the burglar bared doors you will find old diner decor right down to the vinyl tablecloths. We were glad we stayed though. Good service, decent food, and decent prices. We had a party of seven and had various fried seafood and poor-boys.

This place is not so good. Many of my friends and family LOVE it and as such I have been several times. I just have never had anything that was good. It's pretty trashy looking inside but the waitstaff always seems to be nice enough. I think I've tried the po-boy, hamburger steak, stuffed bell pepper, and maybe some kind of stew and I wasn't impressed with any of it. I will go here to please an elderly relative but other than that, no thank you!

Great dining experience! Went with a friend, we each had a drink, shared a small order of onion rings, and had out own meals (fried chicken and Mac n cheese for me plus a small salad) for $12. That's not a price you are apt to see when dining in Nola! Great waitress as well, she made the experience even better. Fried chicken was worth the short wait we had! Would recommend this hole in the wall to anyone looking for great comfort food

We had the fried chicken and Mac and cheese!! Chicken was definitely worth the wait!!!! Also had the smothered pork chops and fries... Asked for a bowl of rice and it was perfect!!! We're definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu!

While yes, the food tastes great, I find it a bit pricey. If you want a daily special, show up early or you're going to be S.O.L. And there just isn't enough seating. My family had to leave because half of the place was taken over by one group of people. On the upside, their Mac n' cheese tastes awesome.

Stopped in for lunch after visiting the Barataria Nature Preserve because my husband wanted fried chicken. Wow - this was some of the best we've had. The chili, mac & cheese & salads were pretty simple, good not great, but that chicken earned high marks. The service was also excellent. All of the staff were very gracious, attentive & welcoming. Nice find!

Food to get here is as follows, Fried Chicken...takes a lil while but man its GOOD! Onion Rings...usually sold out by Thursday. Grilled roast beefs poboys!! Schnells style! Last I was here that wasn't on the menu, so a lot of people doesn't know it exists here. This is where I prefer to get my grilled roast beefs because the service at Schnell's has dropped off. Ashame too because that was the best. They have good local types of food for the tourist going to do a swamp tour. Smothered rabbit, white beans, red beans, seafood dishes. It does have a homey comfortable feel to it. Lots of little intimate nooks to sit in . But seriously if you haven't had a grilled roast beef before, or don't want to wait an hour for a waitress at Schnell's, come here!! Sometimes they run out of French bread, which is a bummer. Entering and exiting the parking lot is a bit scary, definitely look both ways!

This place is exactly what you're looking for if you like very local, unique places. The real deal. The decor is a hoot. You think you've entered the wrong place. It looks like an 80's strip mall bar, with all it's charm. That said, it is clean and so are the bathrooms. The staff is friendly and quick. It's good for groups but you also get the feeling it's a good place to eat if you're on the down-low too :) I had the oyster po-boy (it was good), but REALLY regret not getting the daily special, Shrimp Ettouffee. for $9.99. This looked impressive (enough for two at lunch), it was a large plate of creamy ettouffee, with 2 pieces of catfish and 3 veggies AND cake!

Frazier's was one of the first restaurants to reopen following Hurricane Isaac in Marrero. They had electricity long before our power at home was restored. Operating on a limited menu, we decided to give it a try. I'm not usually someone who will pay to eat at a "homestyle cooking" type of restaurant, but in this case, I couldn't cook at home :) I had the stuffed bell pepper, which came with bread & a side (in this case, fries, as it was a limited menu). Our table also shared onion rings as an appetizer, which was a huge basket. All of the food was well-prepared and very reasonably priced. Under normal conditions, they typically have a daily special, and the standard menu of po boys and entrees. I would return, some other time when I just don't feel like cooking...

To all those who think they've had the best fried chicken in the city - think again. This gem of a shack has the most amazing fried chicken I've ever had in my life. It is crispy, spicy and not saturated in grease. I always pair it with the baked macaroni and it comes with a little salad. About a year ago, I would have hated on the salad because it was so sad. I am pleased to say even the little side salad has improved :) I always order to-go from Fraziers because it's not much to look at but who cares with fried chicken like that???

I have never seen a video poker area so happenin at 12:30 in the afternoon. Definitely a bunch of regulars. The carpet and decor screamed my cousin vinny...down home cooking. This place is definitely classick. Huge menu, three daily specials, and a wide variety of patrons. There was a lot of pick up trucks in the parking lot which means the working man eats here. Today's special was fried chicken --- OH YEAH! Apparently, this place is known for their grilled po-boys, which are "the best on the west bank" according to the menu. I ordered the 11 inch grilled roast beef po-boy which i would definitely put up against Dom's or Parasols. Prices are great and all the portions i saw were very respectable. The one flaw i noticed was location. This place is out there.....way out there. But if you are in the area around lunch time, you gotta drop in!

My friends and I went to Frazier's after visiting the swamp, and damn, were we impressed! This place had a great laid back, down-home vibe and the service was beyond excellent. The food was very well priced and was amazing. We were all really happy with our meals and the portions were so big that we all took a good sized box home. I would def. recommend this place for anyone looking for a casual, well priced, home cooked meal.
