The best salad bar in the New Orleans area. Always well maintained and delicious. I eat lunch here every time I'm in Mandeville.

Wow! What a disappointment. I had very high expectations that this salad bar would surpass restaurants of old like Golden Corral and Ryans. I was wrong. There isn't anything special about this salad bar. Not enough variety. Nothing sets it apart. Albertsons had a bigger variety when they were still open and cheaper.

We had a Salad Station recently open up around the corner so I gave it a try today. I walked in and was immediately greeted and directed to the salad bar. For $6.50 a pound you can have as much salad as you want. Be careful as it is very easy to wind up with a $12 salad like I did. lol It's a pretty big bar with about every topping you can think of from meat and veggies to fruit.. They also have a potato bar which is $4. These are some HUGE potatoes and you can choose from cheese sauce, chili, pulled pork and a few other items. I'll be trying that next time as it looked really good! They also offer soups which include potato, creole tomato, french onion, gumbo, etc. Try their enhanced water. It's pretty good. They have strawberry kiwi, tropical and Blueberry Pomegranate Acai.

We love this place. My kids ask to eat here all the time. There are plenty if choices, all fresh. And the owners' commitment to recycling is admirable. To those who complain about the "Creativity is a gift from God" sign, get over yourselves. It's a nice sentiment, especially in a world where we let most rest restaurants shove the same worthless junk down our throats.

If you want a good salad then you have found the right place! I was a little iffy with a build you own salad but this isnt your ordinary round the way salad bar. They have any topping you can think of in the meat, fruit, veggie, and nut category. Their lemonade is homemade goodness. Friendly staff and the place was really clean including the bathroom. When I'm on the northshore I will make a stop to the salad sensation!

About a million years ago (actually 1998), I was living in Tempe, Arizona and had the fortune of eating at a place called Souper Salad. It was a HUGE salad and soup buffet, where you pay a fixed price and eat whatever you like. I remember thinking it would be a good concept for the Northshore. So when I saw Salad Station I was eager to try it, thinking it would be similar. It's not. First, let me address a pet peeve of mine: if you're going to force your opinions on everybody else, make sure you're good at what you're doing. Think Tim Tebow here. Above the salad line, in huge letters, it says "creativity is a gift from God" (See added business photo). I was confused to what they even meant by that in the context of having a kitchen that doesn't even cook anything, or combine anything in any creative way. My GF explained that they probably meant the customer's creativity as they are assembling their own masterpiece, which makes more sense. But there is not a lick of creativity here, other than creatively making you pay 25.00 for two salads with no freshly prepared protein on them. And creatively making you listen to a sappy, contemporary country station that is a few volume notches above what could be considered background music. And creatively not having anybody greet us when we entered. And creatively having a choice between two soups, both heavy and creamy. Loaded potato and buffalo chicken I believe. The buffalo one was actually pink, kind of like pepto bismol! The thing that kills me the most though, is the price per pound thing. That's just lazy. Do the numbers analysis and charge a flat rate that is fair. You don't want people thinking about how much the ingredients weigh when they are making a plate, you want them thinking about how good the ingredients look. Which they don't. In summary, if you like paying $.50 per pound more than supermarket salad bar prices for 10% less quality and about the same selection of a supermarket salad bar, be my guest. I'll go be creative somewhere else.

Heard good things about this place, so stopped by one evening expecting something like Sweet Tomatoes. This was definitely not like a ST. Since my wife and I have a toddler she went and got her salad first while I sat down with the kid. She came back and said her salad had cost her $14. The salad wasn't that big, and that's restaurant pricing where they make the salad for you. She said the mother and son ahead of her dropped $42 on their meal. How does that happen? The issue here is they weigh your food, like the frozen yogurt places that have been popping up. I thought it was expensive, because I can go to La Madeline and have someone else make a salad with the same ingredients and it's the same price. So what exactly am I paying for here? The privilege of making my own food? The hot bar where they had baked potatoes and soup was also weighed, but baked potatoes are pretty heavy, so you won't be saving money there either. The food was decent, but I guess if I'm having to make my own plate of food I'm hoping to get a deal on the price. I thought if it was a flat $9.99 or even $12.99 for whatever you can pile on your plate one time through, they'd make a killing. Unfortunately, they make you do all the work and charge you the same as a sit down restaurant. My search continues for a local equivalent of Sweet Tomatoes because driving to Houston (the closest location) just isn't a regular thing for me.

Great place to eat healthy and get a salad the way you like it. I eat there at least 2 times a week. The people are friendly and helpful. I put at least a pound shrimp and it only cost me 8 dollars. I cant get that any where else.
