The problem here is the drive up. There are two driveways to access the drive through. So when you go through the correct driveway and you wait in line, You have these jack asses who will turn through the first (wrong) driveway and try to cut the middle of the line because their too lazy to go 50 more feet and turn in the correct driveway. The owner could add those plastic poles curving where they can't access the drive through from the wrong direction to stop this but you can't fix stupid so who knows.....

Looking back at my original review of this location I realize how far I have come as a Yelper. While my rating was accurate at the time, my review was sorely lacking. Now that I have been coming to this location more frequently, I think it is time for a review update. This Starbucks is very convenient if you are commuting across the Causeway. Having a giant coffee and breakfast sandwich help make those miles pass much easier. The staff at this location have improved considerably since my first review. Everyone I have encountered has been friendly and seems to actually enjoy their job. The workers even began to recognize me which makes me feel like they aren't just going through the motions of being friendly. I do recommend walking inside to order as opposed to the drive thru. I have found the service is much quicker at the counter. I still prefer locally owned, slightly funky coffee shops, but when I am in a rush, this Starbucks does the trick.

I only get espresso based drinks, lattes or cappuccinos. The two Starbucks in Mandeville are constantly making really bitter espresso. Usually in the mornings. Sometimes it tastes fine like it always has but not always. When it does taste normal it is usually later in the day. I think it may depend on who is working.

I have two negatives in that the parking lot is nuts and they dont serve bold brewed coffee after 12:00 noon. I gave them 3 stars because I like a nice bold coffee in the afternoon and can't get it here. Bummer.

Service is spotty. In the early morning hours that I have stopped here, I have sometimes gotten great service and sometimes got a half dead employee behind the counter. I'm not much on the trendy coffee thing. fact is, I only stop here to get coffee for a few people in the office that love it. Just give me Community coffee and I'm good. Morale varies between terrible and awful - and you can see it in turnover and feel it in the attitude. This store actually parallels what has happened overall to this brand which is now "a chain." What happened to the cool, pleasant staff? They used to be there.

I am always satisfied when I go here and while I mostly just go through the drive-thru, I have studied here a few times. Bring earphones if this is the case, as it can get pretty loud in there with the staff cutting up and everyone talking their heads off over coffee. Also, if the drive thru is busy while you are ordering inside, they will make sure the drive thru is taken care of, and THEN they will take care of your order inside.

Now that I've become a somewhat regular, i'll update my review. I go here about once a week, because the location for me is fantastic. I try to get here before 6:30, because after 6:30, it seems the people who come to order complicated frappacinos and lattes show up and the drive thru gets long. I was at the counter today and heard someone had ordered a coffee with six sugars. SIX! Also, during school, if you don't get here before 7, you'll be stuck waiting for them to make frapps for all the high school kids. The workers are nice though, and they can make my cafe au lait quick. If the drive thru is crazy long, i'll go in the store. The parking lot is a bit frazzled, but not their problem. My previous 5 star review still applies for weekends when it's not busy, but when you're competing with people who want to order sugar coffee and a long drive thru line, it loses a bit of lustre.
