Awesome little breakfast/brunch place! Nothing fancy - but what they do, they do quite well! The benedicts are possibly the best in town - the thin slices of tomato added to the standard eggs/English muffin/Canadian bacon really make the dish stand out. It's a simple but quite effective touch. Another excellent dish consisted of a bowl of grits topped with crumbled up bacon, cheese, and fried eggs - nothing but a bowl of pure awesomeness. The place is rather small, but the interior makes good use of natural light. It's actually a very pleasant space in which to start a weekend day. Service is friendly and efficient. It's just a good atmosphere all around. Like I said it's a small space - it does get quite crowded on the weekend. You will probably have a bit of wait. It's totally worth it! Bottom line: you will like it!

Mande's is a unique restaurant located at the foot of the Causeway. The building itself is very cool. As you enter there is a giant fish sculpture which gives the place a laid back atmosphere. Inside there is a large bar where one can sit and eat like an old time diner. There are also several tables including a very large round table which looked to be able to seat about 8. Service was very good. Our server was attentive and friendly and quick to refill our coffee. For entrees we had the western omelet, kids pancake, french toast and eggs benedict. The kids pancake comes in the shape of Mickey Mouse which was quite a hit. The western omelet was good and the ingredients were fresh. It came with a side of potatoes which was very good. The eggs benedict were also good and they allow you to get a half order if you aren't that hungry. The uniqueness of the building and decor almost makes it feel like you are on vacation. If you're looking for breakfast, I recommend Mande's.

Not bad, just a nice neighborhood restaurant. Omelets are good but the biscuits opened and grilled are great. Service is usually fair sometimes good but mostly bad. I noticed they dilute the orange juice and the coffee is hit & miss.

One of many Breakfast Diners on the North Shore. Out of all the ones I have been to this is my favorite. Good breakfast selection, everything is fresh. They have specials and one morning I actually lucked out and ordered the Kobe Beef Debris Biscuit which was awesome. Coffee is good and the service is consistently good. Have not been here for lunch but I hear it is equally as good as the breakfast.

It is a great place to go for Breakfast. Glad it finally has reopened. Though, I wish it was a good as it has been in the past. The crawfish sausage is great and there are a few other things that I would definitely go back for in the future.

The restaurant is now open. The original owners are also back. Fabulous breakfast - best eggs Sardu EVER. I have to get a 1/2 order as I can't eat the whole serving.

Cute little somewhat hidden breakfast place in Mandeville. They keep the coffee flowing (great after a late night company Christmas party on the northshore) and the food is really quite good. Small seating area, as others have noted, but we didn't have to wait at all for a seat. Others who were eating seemed to be regulars - sitting around reading newspapers, catching up on the week's events, etc. If I find myself on that side of the lake for breakfast again, I'm making a point to return and get another omelet and coffee.

Came here last Saturday with a friend on her recommendation. The open faced roast beef was outstanding. Unfortunately the turkey was off on her club. The waitress agreed that it had gone bad and they were quick about replacing it. The Eggs Sardou she ordered as an alternate came out quickly and were quite good. They did not charge us for her meal to make up for the trouble. Outstanding service!

Popular local breakfast spot. It gets busy on the weekends. Try the California omelet. Delicious. Very tasty biscuits as well. The prices are a little high but the waitstaff are very friendly and attentive.

Me and the girlfriend went here for breakfast the other day. Me being the manly man that I am got the all meat omelet and her being the lady got the California omelet. We also had the side of biscuit and homefries. The food was really good with very good wait staff. The omelet was very good just not fluffy the way that I enjoy them. She also wanted more seasoning on the eggs. The biscuit and homefries were very good sides no real complaint. Definitely recommend this for a good morning brunch spot. Really enjoyed the atmosphere also.

I visited this establishment for the 1st time in over 20 years. It was very good, as I recall from the past. Friendly service; however, is not their forte. I have experienced a few north shore restaurants where the staff have "attitudes." Not quite sure why, but they do. The biscuits were great, and good biscuits are hard to find. Another person in our party had a burger, and said it was delicious. I would definitely return, if not for the service, the food is definitely worth it.
