So many choices! We came from California for a wedding in town and ate here for dinner. There is a very large selection of sushi roll choices here. Everything we had was really good and fresh. Staff here is super-friendly. I can tell a lot of regulars eat here as many of the customers knew the staff. That's always a good sign for an out-of-towner coming in and not knowing where to eat. Prices were very reasonable too for the amount and quality of food you get. I would recommend coming here!

One of my favorites on the northshore. They have the best beer and alcohol selection of any sushi bar on the northshore. Great service too. Well priced lunch specials and great service. Family owned and operated.

High quality sushi at fantastic prices! Their daily (except Sundays) lunch specials are a great bargain.

My only complaint... I over-ordered because the portions are generous. I thoroughtly enjoyed the Blossom of Love roll. The Spider Roll was one of the best I ever had. I also took on one of the daily lunch specials. They have great rolls for $6.95. I'm actually interested in having the sushi birthday cake this year! Looks awesome. I'll be back...so many other creative rolls to sample.

Kazoku's food is very fresh and served beautifully. I didn't think I liked sushi until I tried theirs. The service is fantastic.

Sushi is always fresh and it's about five minutes from our house, so we eat here often. Service is quick and professional.

Kazoku is a great little sushi restaurant located on Hwy 59 near the Donut King. This place has amazing sushi. Their rolls are priced between $4.95 and $11.00 or so. The ingredients were fresh and obviously high quality. I tried a dynamite roll, spicy tuna and salmon tempura roll. The spicy tuna roll was my favorite. The tuna was so fresh and clean tasting (if this makes sense). This may have been the best sushi I have tried so far. I had heard great things about their tempura (fried) cheesecake. I didn't care for it, but the rest of the table devoured it in seconds. The servers were very friendly, but as the restaurant got crowded the service suffered. It took far to long to get our bill, but they had gotten crowded. Our table ordered six rolls which was enough for three people. The bill was only $33. They do have a special deal where selected rolls are two for $7.99 which is really a great deal. They do have kids meals on the menu. I believe they have a choice of tempura chicken or shrimp and it comes with steamed or fried rice. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is the best sushi around. The quality of the fish is amazing and always fresh! The service is also good and they always take good care of you!

Probably my favorite sushi restaurant. No complaints, you will not regret going here. Family own and operated.

Sushi is great, but it takes forever to get your check. When we go we always ask for the check as soon as we order because we know it will be another 20 minutes to get it.

AMAZING FOOD!!! we decided to go here because our usual sushi restraunt was closed but this one is so much better! the rolls had more variety than most sushi joints . the salmon is fresher than ever and there's a thing called a crab cake bowl which is basically just crab meat and crunchy stuff and my little girl loves it since she's picky . also the service is 5 stars there super nice and if you go more than once they remember your names! that's my favorite part actually . but if your looking for a sushi place in mandeville defiantly go here! you will not be disappointed !!!

No complaints about this restaurant, good sushi, friendly service, small place though but a lot of takeout orders. Would recommend to anyone!

Let's start with the interior, which is lime green, and not so Japanese or ambient. Right as you walk in the door, everyone is seated perfectly to stare right at you as you're waiting to be seated. Also, it smells quite fishy in there most of the time. If you are there for a date, it's not really the most romantic atmosphere. Good for a quick lunch or to pickup a to-go order. They close AT 9:00pm, which means, the kitchen closes AT 9:00...so if you walk in at 8:45, hurry and order(as we were once told by the waitress) The sushi is good, but not anything spectacular. They make their Rainbow roll different from 95% of other sushi places, which kind of annoys me, but I have ordered other things on the menu and was satisfied. The Mandeville Roll is good, and also the Mississippi roll. No hard feelings, but I would much rather Sake Garden just down the road for a more intimate dinner.

Got takeout tonight and WOW. Freshness was off the charts, quality of rolls was superb, and you definitely get your money's worth! Very happy I decided to try this place out, definitely will be a repeat customer!

In my opinion the best sushi value on the Northshore. Good quality and very good portion size. They do a lot of business out of a small space, so it does get crowded. They should probably upgrade to a larger/nicer building, but their prices would definitely have to increase, so enjoy this gem while it lasts.

This is the best sushi on the Northshore. They have the freshest fish and the tuna just melts in your mouth. The Erica Bowl is a great deal! It consists of avacado, sushi rice, tuna, snow crab, and crunchies! ( only 7$) Add the sweet white sauce and seaweed salad and it is even better. This place is great and the service is friendly and attentive.

Love this place ! Super fresh and great family atmosphere !! I so love the mom and pop feel and the friendly staff always remembers you when you return.

My girlfriend and I come here once a week. The service is prompt and welcoming. The sushi is literally the freshest sushi I have ever put in my mouth. It leaves you wondering how much more money they are spending on their seafood compared to surrounding sushi restaurants on the north shore. I brought my mom from California (who has ate a lot of sushi at plenty of highly recommended restaurants in California) here and she admitted that it was the best sushi she ever had. I will recommend this to anyone looking for a FRESH sushi experience.

One of the best places in Mandeville or the Northshore. This place is not very big but you never have to really wait very long for a table. One of the few places that you can get sushi made with brown rice.

Mr. Lies and I live super-close to Kazoku, and it's a good thing we do, because we are ALWAYS there. This is the best sushi we've ever had. Ever. No, I'm not kidding. We have said before that we hope we never have to move, because we will have to move away from Kazoku. The sushi is always super-fresh. They have a special where you can pick two rolls for $7.99 - the rolls are pretty basic (California, tuna, spicy tuna, crunchy, etc.), but the deal is worth it! The rolls are nice and big. They have plenty of special rolls, and always have a temporary special roll on the billboard out front. Right now, they have one called the City Tuna roll, and it is amazing. The service is fantastic. The staff is very friendly (Ariel knows what we drink now) and pleasant. Papa Fung and the rest of the staff at the sushi bar are really friendly, but they take the time to make your sushi perfect. For my birthday, we ordered the sushi "birthday cake" and it was delicious. I can't talk enough good about Kazoku. I would gladly drive from Madisonville, Slidell, NOLA, Hammond - it is THAT good.

This is currently my favorite sushi place on the northshore! The pricing and quality beats the majority of places around

Decided to go here because of the reviews. Great food, everything was fresh. We actually ordered to much food, but spent the same amount we normally do at other places. I personally did not care for the snow crab fried appetizer, not a fan of fried food. The Sushi rolls, best I had in a long time.

I came to town to visit family and came here for lunch. I was excited when I saw the menu everything sounded so good. I ordered a number of nigiri and a few rolls. The rolls were as good as any I've had in Cali or Vegas. The best part was the Nigiri. They were some of the freshest fish I've had.

Fantastic fresh sushi! Black and Gold roll and New Orleans roll were great! The kids loved their bento boxes. :)
(5)J C.
The rolls where very dry. I don't know where the so called sauce was. I won't be back. There's much batter places to eat over here. And service could have been better.

Best sushi on the west side of Mandeville. Only downfall is they opened after I moved away! Wow! Amazing sushi for unbelievable prices. It doesnt get much better than this.Incredible selection of rolls and sweet lunch specials. I will make this a stop each time I come back home to visit.

Slow service, especially sitting at bar

I went there once to eat at the restaurant, and the sushi was good for a fair price. I went again to order take out for sushi, and I asked for a soufflé cup of smelt roe (that I would pay for) and they refused to give it to me after paying $50+ for sushi. Terrible customer service on the sushi-makers side. The hostess was polite about it, but passed the message on. I've been going to Yujin for years, and they always give me extra smelt roe at no additional cost, and they are way more customer oriented! Never again, Kozoku---there are too many other sushi restaurants in town to not have good customer service.
