So I read the comments and I must say you all are missing a treat this place is amazing. Ask for the server Collette Venturini she made the experience even more magical. Me and my wife have found a new great 5 star restaurant. If you get Collette and a nice bottle of wine the night has limitless possibilities. I recommend this great gem with out a doubt!

I've seen other reviewers comment on this, so it seems like waiting over an hour for your food is a standard occurrence here. An hour went by quickly in good company, but under different circumstances I would have found it unacceptable. The food was a bit too rich/greasy for me, but I'm mostly a salad eater, so I may not be the best reference when it comes to Italian food drenched in butter and cheese. The rest of my party really enjoyed it, it just wasn't for me. The salad was pretty good, by the way, but then again, in my mind it takes a lot to screw up a salad.

Popcorn shrimp appetizer is so yummy!!!! Little stingy with the wine. My husband got Italian sausage spaghetti and he said it was bland. Other than that everything was good, the wait staff is friendly and efficient! Prices a little high but we are from NC so we notice how inflated everything here is in this country state

This is my favorite restaurant on the North Shore. The food is rich (deliciously so) and always has a great fresh taste. It's hard to find restaurants that serve veal and their's is always tender and flavorful. I roll between veal and their Jim Bob Shrimp (crab stuffed shrimp) and their sauces are luscious. They also serve a great dirty martini! ;)
Overly priced, poor service, dead inside restaurant. We won't return. Served my meal before serving the lady at the table. Server was inept and could care less. Sat a table of 5 right next to us with a screaming child while the rest of the dining area was vacant.

Great food and great service! If you are in the mood for Italian, skip macaroni grill or olive garden and go here! Drinks aren't bad either but a bit pricey. All they need is bread, which they may but didn't ask.

Excellent food and service!! We enjoyed the 14oz ribeye and a tuna steak with loaded potatoes and salad on the side! The salad dressing is made in house and was very good. We also had a canoli made in house. Very good!!!

Fazzio's is a New Orleans style Italian restaurant located in Mandeville. The menu is classic. Red sauces, steaks and seafood fill its pages. This place has been around for years, but I have never been until recently. We started with Da Fazz shrimp. It was fried shrimp tossed in a spicy and sweet sauce. The server told us it was called bang-bang shrimp, but Bonefish Grill protested hence the name change. For an entree I had the chicken parmesan. It consisted of three large pieces of chicken topped by melted cheese and sauce. There was also a side plate of pasta with more sauce. The chicken was tender and flavorful and the sauce was very good. The dish is also enough food for two people so order accordingly. Service was friendly and attentive. Either the manager or owner was circulating to ensure everyone was enjoying their food. Note: The draft beer was very reasonable priced ($2, I think). If you want classic new Orleans Italian in Mandeville, Fazzio's is a good place to try.

I visited Fazzio's at around 2:00 in the afternoon. There were only a couple other tables there at the time so our service was great. I had the chicken parmigiana and a beer. The chicken parmigiana came with a side of angel hair pasta also covered with marinara and everything was pretty dang delish. However, the beer came in a huge heavy margarita glass that would slide out of your hand if you weren't careful. I would have preferred a regular glass. That's my only complaint though. Overall good experience. I would go back.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. The owners of the newly renovated restaurant are always around and extremely friendly. Highly recommend the bleu cheese; it is phenomenal!

Todd and I decided we needed Italian, but not Olive Garden Italian. We're talking old school Italian. Well, Fazzio's is definitely old school Italian. Once seated I wanted to dig a little deeper into this old school Italian food so I started to ask the waiter some questions. My dad side of the family is straight old school Italian, I was born in Italy, and have visited there recently. The waiter was very informative and knowledgeable, He told us all the items on the menu (from meatballs to sauce) are made in house. I asked if the pasta was freshly made in house and he kind of laughed like "are you crazy, lady?" and said no. I was kind of disappointed with that because I make my own pasta at home and it isn't that hard. What kind of Italian doesn't make their own pasta?!? Anyways, I ordered the lasagna, Todd the spaghetti and meatballs. We wanted to keep it old school and classic. The food was great. The red sauce (gravy) was more on the sweeter side for Todd, but I liked it. Though I guess I am the one with the sweet tooth! We were too full for dessert, but maybe next time I can squeeze it in! The decor seemed really old school and I think we were the youngest people there. I liked it though and would go back the next time I'm feeling Lucky Luciano like.... 4 out of 5 stars!

Best catfish I have ever had in my whole lifetime. I'm stunned at how amazing the food is in this place, cus it looks quite shady from the outside. Also tried the fettuccini Alfredo and it was beyond amazing.

Nice, casual traditional Italian. The traditional southern Italian "red sauce" items are all very good. The seafood is quite good as well. The service is efficient and friendly. There can be a wait on weekends but it usually goes pretty fast. The prices are reasonable. The wine list is a bit limited but the selections in general go well with the food. All in all, not a bad place for a casual dinner out.

Solid Italian fare. Not excellent, but good. Service is very slow. Red sauce is on the sweet side - not to my taste, but my teenagers loved it. Atmosphere more "family" than "romantic". Lots of food for the money.

Fazzios is my favorite restaurant. All of their Italian and seafood dishes are great!! Their specials are very good too I like the tuna steak. But their best by far the bang bang shrimp on the appetizers menu!!!!

My mother and I love to come here. Food is usually really good, service is kinda slow. Whenever they have the crawfish corn soup , we each get a cup, bc it is so good, we refuse to share. THe crabcakes are very tasty. Also the stuffed shrimp with pasta and a cream crab sauce. They usually have specials and those are also very good. Always, have a hard time trying to decide what to order. Dessert isnt so bad either, especially the turtle cheesecake.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

First time my wife and I visited the restaurant, Food was good but took over an hour to get our entrées.. We truly felt sorry for our waitress Leigh based on the kitchen's lack of execution, she was awesome... May have been an off night but will be a while before we try again..
