With not many options in the area, this place will definitely be my go to from now on when I'm in the neighborhood and I need some caffeine to get through these long shifts. This quaint little coffee shop is located off the beaten path in a little strip center, but is still very easy to find. The menu can be a bit overwhelming with so many frap and latte options I lost count. Staff is more than happy to assist though and can help you narrow it down to something that fits your fancy. I got a creme brûlée which is an iced coffee with a shot of vanilla, white chocolate and cinnamon and was very satisfied. Be warned, their not exactly the cheapest. Look to pay Starbucks prices ($4 and up), but hey whatever.

The shop itself is very nice. It has that cafe'/coffee shop feel. The coffee is pretty good. My biggest complaint about the coffee is the frozen coffee that is not made "from scratch." I have to use soy milk in my coffee which is not an option with frozen so I can't get it. The prices are slightly high but with no other coffee shops in the area, sometimes I just have to splurge. The older/adult staff are great, but the young high school/college kids have been very unpleasant to myself, my fiancé and other people we've stopped by there with. I do enjoy the light lunch menu. Not a bad place over all, but could be better.

Service is not all that great, you would think you would get a hello coming through the doors but in stead we got started at like what u doing hear. Ordered a club panini and it is pretty good. I like the set up, good atmosphere. Just wish the service was better.

Southern Latte Cafe has the best coffee in St. Charles Parish. The coffee is always fresh . It's a great place to study or just hang out with friends or family . The staff bakes fresh pastries every morning . They also have a great lunch, there panini sandwiches are made fresh an they are all really good. It will make you want to try a different one every time you stop in for lunch! Southern Latte is just off of hwy 90, down wade st. They are on the end so it's easy to find. The coffee cafe has that family and neighborhood atmosphere that will keep you wanting to come back for more each time you visit .

This is a great place and an oasis for Luling. I don't know of any Starbucks or other coffee shops around, so this place really could just be really basic, but it's not. They have a very wide variety of drinks. The space looks comfortable with cushy chairs and lots of space. The staff is nice and they make great drinks. My bro-in-law liked it so much he went twice in one day, and he's apparently a Starbucks addict. Shop local.

We are basically Starbucks snobs as of late , so coming to an independent shop like this one was a little risky. I would have to say that this was worth it. It certainly would be a nice place to stop and kill time. I ordered a large low fat and sugar free snickers late, and I was fairly impressed.

Visiting New Orleans area during the holiday and discovered this gem off of Highway 90. Independently owned and operated in Boutte. Fresh baked pastries, scones, and delicious coffee / lattes. Also the serve lunch and have some hot breakfast items like croissant/egg/sausage biscuits etc. the croissants are super yummy-a real treat. Especially great if you are tired if the same old grind with Starbucks.
