Hard to get a five. Visited 7/31 and 8/12015 while on business. Totally unexpected find. Had the Papaya salad, pineapple fried rice, fried tofu, and coconut soup. The service is great, and they will actually crank up the heat if you're into that sort of thing.

I am telling you right now, before I say another word, that I am giving Thai Cuisine the big fiver.. why? Well, maybe it only deserves four, but after reading the reviews from several morons below who have no clue what Thai food is and gave them one or two stars, I am bumping up what may have been a four star review to five... so sue me. This review is for the buffet, not the menu, which I suspect may be better than what you get on the food trough for lunch. And this buffet is excellent, and puts to shame any Chinese buffet in Lafayette. The food is fresh, hot, not laced with msg, chemicals, or cornstarch laden sauce goo. So lets get to the food and I had a LOT of it.... - Egg rolls - good. Like at a chinese place. - Pad Thai - for a buffet item, this was not bad at all. - Pepper Steak - truly delicious. Tender beef, natural sauce. - Beef w/ yellow squash - maybe better than the pepper steak. - Chicken, red curry - very good. not too spicy. - Lemongrass soup - not the star here. - Lo mein - it was OK. - Fried chicken strips in hot sauce - this was really good. I went for seconds on it, which I try not to do with any fried food. - Dessert - cakes and cookies. better than I expected. So while I still think Pimon Thai is the best Thai place in Lafayette, and Bangkok Thai the worst and most disgusting restaurant I've eaten at here, I am giving the big fiver to Thai Cuisine. NOTE: And to the nice owners of this place - you should know that my review bumped your overall rating to four stars, from three and a half... you can thank me later. :)

This place used to be one of our favorites. I have noticed that the last 3 or 4 times we have gone here that the quality has fallen off big time. Tonight we got the red curry and the pad thai. Both dishes very easy to execute but both were terrible. I could tell that they were trying to stretch on both dishes. The curry was VERY watered down and the pad thai had almost no sauce and was extremely bland. I know that they knew they were watering down the curry and putting very little sauce. Very poor to send food out like that. I know they do a very good lunch buffet but dinner service sucks. I will not be back ever. There are several other thai places in town that are WAY better for the same or less money.

The best green curry in town. I love this place. Always nice and friendly people and my food has always been great. The decor is very dated and the bathrooms are old and falling apart a little but they are always clean. We will keep going and continue to enjoy the food food.

A fairly middle of the road Thai restaurant. I would recommend stopping in for their lunch buffet so that you can get a taste of nearly everything they have to offer. Get there early, because the closer to 2:00 it is, the less food they put out....and the sadder your tummy will be. The atmosphere is decent, nothing too fancy, just some Thai artwork on the walls and some pictures of royalty with neutral tones everywhere. Service is fine. If the owner is around she will come by your table and make small talk, which is always nice to see. As with all of the other reviews for this place, I have to say that I give their Massaman Curry two thumbs up- it would be three, but then I'd have to borrow a thumb and thats just weird. SO delicious. It may be the only reason I go... other than the fact that its five minutes away from my parents house. If you are looking for a nice place for lunch, check out Thai Cuisine's buffet. Otherwise, you may want to look into the other Thai places in the city.

I would give them 50 stars If I could. I moved away from Louisiana about 5 years ago, but still wake up drooling from dreaming about Thai Cuisine. I am so happy to see that they are still in business and doing well. The food here is terrific... Yai (probably spelled wrong) is a fantastic chef as well as the others in the kitchen. The waitstaff is made up of some of the sweetest people you'll ever find. They truly take care of you there. I miss walking through that door and hearing "How you doing Bebee?? You want your usual?" I could rack my brain for hours and still be unable to work up a complaint about this place. Except maybe that they ruined me forever when it comes to Massaman curry... Nobody makes it as good as Yai.. Not even me and I got her to teach me how she does it!! Keep up the great work Thai Cuisine. If I ever get anywhere near Louisiana you can be sure I'll stop in for some of "the usual"

Ok but nothing spectacular. I am a huge fan of Thai and Vietnamese food. I think I'll stick with the soups if I go again. Bangkok Thai is still superior in my opinion.

I have had Thai food in Chicago and New York and this is some of the best. Great food and service. Everything all four of us got was delicious. The Massaman, the Chicken Pad Thai, Coconut Soup and the Beef Pad Thai...amazing. I can't wait to go there again.

Thai Cuisine has evaded my attention for quite some time. I love Thai food, and I've been nearly every place in town. Upon entering on a Thursday night, we were greeted with a smile as the seemingly homosexual host (hostess?) saw us to our seats. The place has a nice atmosphere, I was comfortable with my surroundings the entire time. A nice selection of wine also. The server Amy lacked any enthusiasm, and made the time she spent at our table quite awkward. She was quick to serve us though, and got the order right the first time. She did not make clear that there are three or four different options on the spice level of your food so be sure to clarify. The soup (lemon grass soup), was tasty, but left an unbearable blood aftertaste. I ended up sending it back. The "Thai Springrolls" were delicious. We ordered the veggie spring rolls and found the sauces provided to be intriguing. These spring rolls were average. They were over-stuffed, and they fell apart. Despite all above, the MASSAMAN CURRY made the visit worthwhile. Coconut milk makes the sauce smooth and a perfect compliment to the sticky white rice provided. When ordering a curry, it's best to choose beef for the dish. Thanks to previous yelpers I was able to make the right decision on the entree! Thank you very much. After all, Bangkok Thai is the only way to goin Lafayette. Go to Bangkok Thai.

Thai buffet. Curry was seasoned well and the pad Thai was good. I would have preferred some more vegetarian options though.

Reasonably priced, great menu. Great staff. Not overly formal or fancy, but relaxing and unpretentious. Have already recommended to friends.

I love thai food and could eat it en masse for the entirety of my life. However, I do prefer Pimon Thai. The one lead Thai Cuisine has on Pimon is their Massaman Curry. MMMMM. Divine. This is also a good place (as is Pimon) to try tofu for the first time. I HIGHLY recommend the massaman curry (or the yellow curry if you don't like peanut flavor) with tofu. As I stated in my review for Pimon Thai, if you want noodles go to Pimon, but if you want curry make sure you get it from Thai Cuisine. I've never had the buffet, mostly because it's not veggie friendly, but it looks like typical chinese buffet food which is odd since it's a thai restaurant. Regardless, awesome curry. Easy takeout too.

The worst Pad Thai I have ever had!! The sauce was a super sweet, wet, thick, brown sauce. Reminiscent of Pad See Ew. I requested vegetable and tofu instead of chicken. The dish arrived with very little of either. The vegetables were mostly large chunks of cabbage and cauliflower with one piece of broccoli. Cauliflower?! Gross. The spring rolls were too large and poorly wrapped, one bite and the thing falls apart. The chicken in them were tiny chunks of brown boiled chicken. Again, the worst I've ever eaten. The food took along time to arrive and there were only a couple other people in the restaurant. I would not recommend this place.

I have been there before for dinner, and it wasn't really that bad. But the lunch buffet kinda sucks. Not what I was expecting at all.
