In a word; outstanding. The server was so adorable, knowledgable & friendly. To start, we had salads. I had the Mediterranean & my hubby had the avocado crab. Both fresh & delicious. I had a snapper dish w/spinach, mushrooms & artichokes. Dear God, it was amazing! My husband's filet was cooked to perfection. The lump crab meat is premium & they don't skimp on portions. The chocolate soufflé is the perfect way to end this meal.

Went here for a business meeting. Everything was amazing. From the waiter to the food. I wish I lived in Laffy, I would definitely visit this restaurant more!

Our favorite date night restaurant always perfect! Treat your self to the chocolate soufflé!

This was our first time here. We were most surprised how we loved the food. The complimentary pita bread with an amazing dipping sauce, excellent. We ordered shrimp bisque, rack of lamb and the fish special of the night. All were excellent. We enjoyed the musician/ singer, he would go and talk to all the tables and ask if you had a song choice. The cheesecake was nothing special. The decor and walls could use updating especially for the price you are paying and the service, the two should go hand and hand. Oh and wait staff excellent.

Still in my opinion this is the best quality and highest class that Lafayette offers. It's not the veiled BS that encompasses most of Lafayettes eateries. This is a simple, fresh and effortlessly elegant restaurant. As far as I'm concerned I'd rather have a quiet night here with my kibbeh, fish and wine than a loud, nauseating and cheesy fashion show in River Raunch.

Been going to Mazens in Lake Charles before he opened in the current location. Bottom line, the food in Lafayette is similar but not near as good. First the decor is dingy for a high dollar place. Service was what you should expect. I had the soft shelled crab appetizer, it was over breaded and tasteless, no sweetness to the meat. Fish Aladdin was speckled trout, and not the best fish for that dish, redfish is much better. My wife had the ribeye and it was full of grizzle. So do to the price and high expectations, two stars

I had a 3 course meal here and I need say no more than: awesome food, great service. Treat yourself.

I LOVE their rack of lamb, it is so yummy! We always get the rack of lamb and the rib eyes, they are very delicious. And we ALWAYS finish our meal with a chocolate souffle, its a must have.

Delicious. It's all good. I think there is a $10 corking fee. The steaks, Fish Aladdin and the Veal Oscar are my personal favorites. If you are lucky enough to dine there on a day that they're serving the sweet potatoes, do yourself a favor and get them. They will change your life.

Only been here once, but it was great. Ordered the lamb (med rare to perfection) and my date got the quail. Both were outstanding and very filling. The wine selection was plentiful and our servers pick was great, she chose a merlot so that made me happy. You get free naan and hummus to start and we had the seafood crepe, which was amazing. Not really sure how to describe what cuisine this is. You get hummus appetizer, the grilled meat tastes Brazilian-esque, and there are some American and Cajun dishes as well. Great selection to say the least. Prices are a little high, but portions are big enough and you feel like you need to dress nice to eat here so I was okay.

Wow, why aren't there more reviews of this place? What a great meal. All three of us had grouper, prepared in two different styles--Barataria and Della. Both styles were delicious. Fish was cooked perfectly and the two different sauces, both with lump blue crab, were executed flawlessly. Service was fast, efficient, and extremely friendly. The owner visited each table to check on diners' experiences. Wine list is solid as well. My only complaint is that at $11, my appetizer, "Mediterranean Shrimp," contained five tiny specimens that totaled not more than about 2 oz of protein, an unfortunate rip-off. Fifth star withheld due to this shortcoming. Otherwise, this was a wonderful meal at a very nice establishment.

We were so hoping it was going to be a memorable evening. The food was fresh enough: all the seafood. The shrimp bisque was horrendous and the presentation of it even worse. $14 for one crab cake? For the extremely high cost it was lacking in just about every aspect: portions, presentation, service, ambiance, cleanliness.

Recommend the lightly pan toasted fish dishes. Consistently great taste and friendly service. It's nice to have a place where you can dress nice for a nice evening out and fit in with the rest of the crowd. Mazen does pretty much everything right, although I'd rather a traditional bread rather than the flat bread they serve. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing.

I have eaten there at least 15 times over the last 3 years. The food has never disappointed me or any of the people with me. The fish dishes are all excellent. The crab salad is my favorite salad and every appetizer we have tried is great. It is a wonderful place for a nice well serviced meal for a special occasion. I do have one big complaint. Over a year ago I was there with a party of 10 on a week night and had drinks to desserts. We had finished and were visiting when the waiter asked us to leave the table and go sit at the bar. We did leave. Two weeks ago I took my wife and another couple there to celebrate her birthday on a Saturday night. Made reservations and had drinks to desserts again. Wonderful meal ($200.00) and service until we were asked to again leave the table and sit at the bar. On the way OUT, I noticed empty tables and no one waiting for a table. My wife and other friends say we will not go back . If you needed the table, MAYBE I would understand. Since this happen I have heard the same thing has happened to others and they didn't appreciate it either. Think about that!!!

Attentive and knowledgeable wait staff. Lovely atmosphere and FABULOUS food. The fish is so fresh you expect it to flip off the plate! It's a tad pricey, but they deserve to be. It's a great place for a special occasion or just to treat yourself and someone you love to a wonderful meal. The cosmopolitans are fantastic, and just like you get in NY. It is obvious that the owner/manager is very involved in the day to day business of his restaurant. Cannot say enough about it. Wonderful.
