For a chain, Carrabba's is pretty consistent. The fish is good, portions are generous and service has been pretty good at almost every Carrabba's we have been to.

I won't make this long because all I'd be doing is listing all of the great things restaurants can possibly have - ambiance, service, location, etc. I'll get right to the point. The food is very good, considering it's a franchise. It tastes very fresh. There are always deals going on, for example, 3 courses for $15. Things like that, and I must say they are always fabulous deals - not just a creative wording that makes it sound like you're getting a deal. The only reason this is four stars for me is because, if you are NOT considering that there are hundreds of Carrabba's(es), then the food is simply good, nothing more.

Back in Lafayette to visit relatives, we searched again on a Sunday evening for a Cajun place. It's disappointing how few there are in the so-called Cajun "capital" of Louisiana. For the second time in a row, while in town, therefore, we settled for Carrabbas and were not disappointed.

Service was horrible, portions were small for the price....waste your money if you'd like but I'll never go back....

Good location, very accessible, nice staff and atmosphere. Food was good for a chain, a-lot better than Olive Garden.. We ordered: -Calamari - which was decent, just same ole thing everywhere -Margherita Pizza - which is really light and delicious -Pollo Rosa Maria - oh so yummy -Lobster Ravioli - was decent, wasn't good nor bad -Chocolate Dream - was mediocre.. could of been a-lot better. Will return.

I was very pleased with my dining experience. I ordered the pork tenderloin wrapped in prosciutto with garlic mashed potatoes. They were cooked perfectly, and the fig port wine sauce over them was delicious. The bartender was attentive and nice. I would definitely return!

Food is great. Had the seafood cannoli. Male server was nice and helpful and friendly. Wine wasn't too shabby either. I'll be back.

Really loved the appetizer deal in the bar area. There is a selection of 7 apps and they are a steal at 5 bucks each. The deal is Monday-Friday between 4p-7p, but we went on a Sunday and was able to take advantage of this deal, so make sure to ask your server. The portions were great. Ordered the margherita pizza, zucchini fritte and meatballs with ricotta. All three items were enough to stuff 2 hungry girls. I give this place a thumbs up.

Great food for a great price. The chicken was good, the pasta was good, and the mezaluna was terrific. The wait staff was also very helpful. Get the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer as well.

Very disappointed in this Carrabas. Food is uneven, portions are small, prices aren't cheap and the menu is pretty crappy. - chicken parm - decent - small portion - Chicken salad - pretty good. - house salad - pretty good. - Pasta and marinara - OK. - Garlic bread - OK. And that would be my review of Carraba's. It's OK.... and since I've eaten at the original Carrabba's in Houston, OK just is not' good enough for me to come back here when there are several other better Italian choices in Lafayette and 100+ better restaurants overall.

Actually not bad at all, I had no really high expectations for this place so I think I was actually pretty impressed. I went there for my sister's birthday party and we were over 20 people!! Yet they handled everyone pretty well, no mess ups, everything came out warm, the food was not bad. (Nothing out of this world either, but pretty satisfying) I think for a chain restaurant they are pretty good. Food tasted fresh, and the drinks were pretty good as well. (For what I hear).

The hours posted on here are false. Drove across town to find that they open at 4pm on weekdays. Parking lot had numerous cars there and lights were on. Wasn't until I tried to walk in that I realized it was closed. Stupid of me to think I could get Italian at noon.

Went here for the first time last night since they redid the menu. The food was very good. Appetizers, soups, and main dishes were awesome. The drinks however left a lot to be desired. They no longer have a cocktail menu, so basically you just tell them what you want. Apparently the bartender didn't know how to make basic drinks. They were horrible!

I fell in love with scallops after eating here! My meal included Parmesan crusted grilled scallops and shrimp! It was amazing! I haven't eaten to the one in Lafayette or Baton Rouge! I'm more than sure it's probably the same. The grilled crab cakes were perfect!!! I now refuse to eat crab cakes any other way! Grilled it the way to go!!

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
