Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I havent eaten at Bisbano's yet. But if you go around back there's a bar in the basement and outside tables great for a group of friends to sit around and drink beer at. It's pretty damn cool. There are also bands on the weekend inside the basement bar. You can see who's playing at bisbanos.com

Bisbano's is just SLP.. standard Lafayette pizza... in other words - pretty crappy. I think you could line up a Bisbano's a Deano's and an Alessi's and you would not be able to distinguish any difference between them. There is no pizza that I've had in Lafayette that I want to order again. I'd rather eat a burnt DiGiorno's.... and why is this, you say? Well, none of these joints knows what a real pizza crust is, or how to make it. The sauces are uninspired, and the cheeses used are cheap. If you go to a REAL pizza place, whether it be in NYC, Dallas, Philly, or a bunch of other cities, you will see what a pizza is supposed to look like and taste like. Unfortunately, there is no pizza in Lafayette that meets any of these criteria.

I've been in Lafayette for about five years now and this is, without question, my favorite pizza place. The staff is always friendly and service is decently fast (not fast enough that you are feeling rushed out the door, but not slow enough to where you feel like you have been forgotten). There's a bar downstairs in the basement (yes, there is a basement bar in south Louisiana!) where a lot of local bands come to perform. I've only been to that once, but it was fun and several of my friends that go who are regulars are always happy with it. Bisbano's also has a large party room for large groups. You can easily get about fourteen to fifteen people in there without it feeling crowded. They also recently renovated and it looks pretty good on the inside. Granted, this isn't Ruffino's so don't expect that level of aesthetics, but the renovations go well with the character of the restaurant. Prices are very fair. On our last trip, we got an appetizer, small pizza, and spaghetti. The entire bill came out right under $30 (tax included). Oh, and try the muffaletta pizza. It's by far my personal favorite and one of the most unique pizzas that I've ever tried!

One star for the girl and one star for the cook. They were very nice and accommodating when it was late. However, the food wasn't the best and the female bartender was not friendly at all. We sat at the bar for a good 10 minutes and she made zero attempt to talk to us or even take our orders. I guess whatever she was looking at on her cell phone was more important than customers visiting for the first....and last...time.

I've eaten only the pizza here, but I've eaten it once a week since moving to town, and I'm never disappointed: tasty sauce, good cheese, crisp crust. The sauce really makes this pizza. (I went to another, fancier pizza place in town, and the sauce was practically tasteless. Not so here.) The decor leaves nothing to be desired, but there's a cool bar downstairs worth checking out. Food can be served down there as well.

OK so we came for the food .. not the bar.. I think that's where we made our mistake.. pizza was this strange hybrid thin crust meets hand tossed.. it was a very strange crust and strange texture. I was kinda put off by that but I ate it anyway the bright side is they serve french dressing! Which I haven't found at any pizza place around here( no I'm not nuts its actually very good!) and it was the creamy kind not the vinegar and oil based kind, even better! but you have to ask for it they don't just offer it which is fine by me. My husband says they do serve a traditional thin cracker crust so maybe if we go back we will know better and order that instead. All in all I'm guessing we just ordered the wrong thing. crap shoot maybe? I guess we will know when and if ever we make a second visit.
