Beignets are cooked and kept in a metal pan with a top till you order them. At that time they put the power sugar on. If you like fresh out of the frier beignets, come at peak times. I was here when there were not many people and beignets and coffee were only warm. Big space with Lots of tables. They have memorabilia, soft drinks, chocolate milk, white milk, gift baskets.

Wow, I think I'd died and gone to heaven! Lol. I've never had this scrumptious dessert before. The beignets were not only blissfully delicious, they were served nice and fresh, and still warm! You can watch them make it as you wait for your order... The place was nice and clean. Staff was nice and friendly too! Sit on the patio to enjoy your beignets and watch the cars go by! I want one right now! =)

The best place to have coffee & beignet!! The reason I'm giving it four stars is for the coffee. I'm use to have Nespresso coffee and no coffee can beat that. Other than that the atmosphere and beignet is awesome! There is always a line outside but don't get discourage by the line. It moves along pretty fast. If you stay away from "rush hour" (breakfast- lunch- dinner times) there is barely any line. Don't forget to bring cash, since they don't accept credit cards. The beignets are perfect!! Crunchy in the outsides and soft and doughy in the inside! The place is open 24/7 and has been open for the last 144 years. You really feel you are in a movie, eating beignet, drinking coffee and having a saxophone player playing in the background. Cross the street you can find their store which you can buy everything to make beignets at home. If you visit New Orleans, this place is a must!! Don't let the line outside shy you away!!

I ordered 3 Beignets for $2.42 The Beignetes were soft and the Powdered Sugar was heavenly. A Top-of-the-Line Meal from this Drive Thru.

This one was near our hotel. We went our first morning and our last morning. Fresh coffee and mocha cafe au lait. The Beignets! Lawd they were good. We brought a can of coffee home to enjoy later. Clean store with great service.

Zina D.
Beignets are just a part of my return to N.O. So my friend and I were doing a little shopping and I spotted that place. Picked a small order of them to-go. We got to my friends place and they were already barely warm :( But they were fried doughy yumminess. Although there wasn't much powdered sugar. And the guy kept my change. Like didn't even try to hand it over but we were just ready to go.

Breakfast- Q. When in NOLA for Mardi Gras, where do you eat breakfast at least once? A. Cafe' de Monde Ok, we compromised and didn't eat at the Decatur location but this was close and we had to get somewhere this morrning. Clean, great service and man, you gotta get the beignets and chicory coffee. Both were hot and ready. The powered sugar is so sweet! But get ready for the grease burp! (excuse me)

Delicious beignets here, though not the best we've had in New Orleans. Still, if you're in the region then definitely treat yourself!

Their Beignets are to die for! They come in an order of 3, dusted with delicious confectioners sugar! Their coffee is also amazing. Strong with a lot of depth. I highly recommend this place to visitors for Louisiana

Dont go downtown the lines are ridiculous but this one is near the airport and there were no lines at all.yummy lots of powdered sugar. Very soft but not very sweet. Served fresh and hit. I had some once I arrived and right before I left.

The beignets are great I stop by every time I come to Louisiana and the frozen coffee is a nice pick me up for the ride back to texas

Dont bother at this location. The service is crap, and the restaurant is dirty. I found some big pile of glop in my cafe au lait, after we decided the bengiets were too greasy and old to eat. I asked about it and the counter staff said, oh "thats burned milk, it happens all the time" Really? Cause Ive never experieince this at the Veteran's location or the main location in New Orleans. SO nasty that they accept this. I will never go back. I should have asked for a refund.

Q: What do three paleo gals do when in New Orleans? A: They make an exception and gorge themselves on fried dough. Okay, so that's not a great joke, but it is factual. Two friends and I were heading out of town after attending a dance competition and needed our powdered sugar/fried thing fix. This is a really convenient little stop if you're on your way west out of town, with easy access to I-10. It's cute inside, and they've tried to replicate the French Quarter experience with their iconic green color scheme. The beignets were yummy and my iced coffee served its purpose in keeping me alert on the drive home. The service wasn't great when we went...they seemed distracted and not very present in general...and unlike the Quarter location this is counter service only. This location was really convenient for us but if you had the time, I wouldn't really recommend it over going to the real deal. It'll do in a pinch though, and for that I'm grateful.

We came here because of the Yelp reviews. While the beignets were very good and the French roast coffee was good and not at all bitter this place is way too expensive. The beignets were within reason as far as the price but the price of coffee was outrageous. This was our first stop in a New Orleans area coffee shop, so is $3.57 the going rate for a 16 oz coffee? Or is this a tourist type place? Woman at the register was unfriendly.

Carvey P.
Love me some Cafe Du Monde! I take the kids and wife when ever I can. Great location by the airport!
(5)
Patrice P.
The beignets here are amazing. Although it may look crowded, I've never had to wait for a table for more than 5 minutes. We were seated right away. The tables are sticky because of the powder sugar so don't put any valuables like phones on it. Highly recommend.
(5)
Sara U.
Same traditional New Orleans yum yum without the FQ location's long queue of tourists and their 87 kids. If you choose to use the drive-through and eat in your vehicle, your car WILL turn into a motorized snow globe.
(4)
Erica S.
Drive thru is convenient. If u have a pet, there is also an outside eating area conveniently located in the front. I love beignets, but I hate getting the powdered sugar all over the place. Nonetheless this is why I normally eat beignets with a fork, and unfortunately Cafe Du Monde does not provide any sort of plastic silverware.
The staff was really friendly! I was helped by Amer, who explained everything to me and the atmosphere is old diner style with cute little round tables. Definitely will return on my visits to New Orleans!
Beignets delicious! ! Cafe au lait perfectly complimented with notes of chicory. We'll worth a stop for this iconic experience. Indoor and outdoor seating. Cash only.
(5)
Christina S.
We really enjoyed the beignets here! They remind me of my great grandmother's fried dough. Three beignets come with one order. We came here two nights in a row on our vacation. These beignets are soft like a pillow, with a crispy outside and a wonderfully chewy inside. Topped with a mountain of powdered sugar. How can you go wrong?
(5)
Rob B.
How can you come to New Orleans without a stop at Cafe Du Mond!?! Classic beignets with a soft chewy texture and a (un)healthy dousing of powdered sugar. Tasty coffee too, I prefer mine black but the have their classic cafe au lait.
(5)
Tamara F.
What's not to like here? I mean, beignets are always a good thing and this location is pretty easy to get in and out of without a hassle. They are open till midnight too, so it's easy to pick some up after you've been out all night.
(5)
Tamara M.
Cafe du Monde really does have the "Best beignets." This Kenner location is pretty laid back, and not as crowded (obviously) as the downtown location. It's quick and easy, and there's enough powdered sugar to save and use on 25 more future desserts.
(4)
David M.
Our first stop on our crazy food tour, it was pretty much empty at 10am on a Sunday, which was good because we were exhausted after not getting much sleep in a particularly horrible motel nearby. While not as iconic as their French Quarter location, this one sports a drive-thru and no line. The folks working there were friendly. As it was getting warm outside, we opted to try their frozen cafe au lait and they were excellent!
(5)
Cristy C.
Mmmm love their products... Not do much with the service. Then again it's hard to expect high quality service with such inexpensive products. I'm not sure if they get paid by the hour or depend on tips but they won't make much just on tips. I asked for a frozen cafe Au lait and I got a regular one. Waited more than 8 minutes in the drive thru. The whole point of drive thru is because you're on-the-go or in a rush... It's not going to stop me from going again... I'll just always have in the back of my mind, "Cristy, don't get aggravated if they take longer because they most likely will." And I shouldn't have that on my mind.

"Best beignets" Cafe du Monde has the best beignets in the nation. Morning Call is not bad. And anytime I've had beignets outside of New Orleans, it's been pretty bad. A tasty and not-too-filling breakfast. This location is new and the beignets are perfect. Of course, the best location is the original Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter
(5)
Andrew R.
Okay, we aren't from NOLA. We are tourists. I took my son here and it was as if he had ascended to a 12 year old's version of Heaven. I told the lady at the counter that it was our first time there, We got Beignets and some cafe du lait. Yummy! Highly recommend this spot. Kind staff and off the charts breakfast fare.
(5)
J D.
The beignets were just as good as in Jackson Square. In fact, they were better. The last two times I was in Jackson Square, it took forever to get our order, and the beignets weren't hot or crispy on the outside. This was fast and fresh.
(5)
Tiffany H.
Came here the other day for the first time and was impressed with its similarity to the one in the French quarter. Was better than I remembered and less bullshit bc it's not flooded with tourists, great place for locals.
(5)
Eileen Z.
Located in the short-lived Starbucks, this CDM opened a couple of weeks ago. It is clean, relatively fast, and comfortable. Not as nice as the one on Vets, with that "worn in" fell (you can still smell the fresh paint inside) but it's a nice addition to Kenna brah
(4)
Besh S.
This one gives less powdered sugar than the one on vets. The workers were all talking to each other, but got my order out quickly. Cash only!

Tho, the beignets were good, I was very disappointed by the customer service I received. Because I had my college daughter in from Chicago, we stopped her to get her fix. But, after we walked out the door, they locked it as it was time for closing. Within seconds I discovered I had left my camera inside, so I knocked on the window, in hopes of getting my camera which I could see, from the window. There was a guy cleaning who wouldn't even look up, so i knocked until my hand hurt. I then went to the window by the kitchen to see if I get some attention, and tho he saw me, again I was ignored. After what seemed like a lifetime, the last customers in the place came to my aid, tho, even then the staff kept them waiting for quite abit. Just gave me a feeling that they didn't need my business. And yet it looked like a ghost town. Well definetly, find another location next time.
(2)
K T.
The Kenner location is so much more chill and low-key than the FQ location; that may be a disappointment for some people but it was refreshing for me. I love being able to bring out-of-town guests here without having to make the trek into the quarter and hunt for parking, then sit exposed to the elements and fuss with trying to order from a busy waiter while seated at a tiny table; here you go through the line and place your order and pay at the cash register. The beignets are just as good, fortunately.
(4)
Bob J.
Clean, attentive. Beignets taste as good as the French Quarters! Actually makes for a nice breakfast before hitting the road. Sure the French Quarter is the best location if you have the time, don't mind the wait, et cetera, but you are not giving up on flavor here.
(3)
Joseph L.
New Cafe Du Monde opened across the street from French Press cafe, this could be trouble! It's awesome because this place is so close to the airport that tourists who weren't able to get into the French Quarter due to parking or lack of time can afford to stop by here on the way to the airport and pick up some world famous beignets or get some coffee and mix to go!
(5)
Ava F.

(4)

It's nothing special but it's so nice see Cafe Du Monde on my way to work. This is a must stop if you are a visitor in the Big Easy if you don't have time to go to the one on Decatur.
(4)
Jacob S.
For a decent place to stop and hang out, I give it a 3 star. Not as good as the original obviously, but also not the best food out of all the other satellite shops. Food is below average most of the time. Since the traffic isn't very high, the beignets are sometimes cold. If you want something close to the original or a good second best...this isn't it. For a great place to put up your feet and take an hour to hang out with some family and kids..A+.

easy to find with a drive thru. my order was fried to order and piping hot. so gooood. luckily i did have cash with me.

We were running out of time to try all the places we wanted to go to -- so, instead of going to the one on Decatur (which always had a really long line when we were in the French Quarter), we stopped here when we happened to spot this location while shopping at the Esplanade Mall. They had just opened for the morning, so the beignets, chicory coffee and hot chocolate were hot, fresh and delicious -- just as we had expected them to be. Would go here again if time didn't permit waiting at the Decatur Street location.
(5)
Berna D.
The beignets are to die for not the original French quarter location but just as delicious! Love love love beignets!!!!
(5)
Lan N.
I enjoy eating over much, but the days where I queue longer than an hour for food are long gone. So this location was like a life hack for me. We did the drive through, which was super fast. For less than $3, you get 3 beignets...4 if you're lucky like us. I recommend not eating in the car, b/c wow, that was a mess (Sorry, Hertz). I wish they had a Cafe du Monde inside the airport! Inside every airport!
(4)
Will G.
Awful. Who puts cream and sugar and coffee without asking? And it was awful to boot. At $3.25 a pop, you would think they could at least purchase a better top.
(1)
Eighh L.
Less crowded than the one in the French Quarter. Lots of seating, clean bathrooms, and plenty of cafe du monde souvenirs to choose from. However something about it makes it feel out of place and made me want to go back to the one in French Quarter.
Okay fine, the beignets are probably the best I've ever had. We stopped by here because it was close to our hotel and they had a drive thru window. The beignets are smaller than at Cafe Beignet but they have a different texture inside. They are fluffier and the outside is more crisp. Getting them in a to go bag means you can shake it up in the powdery sugar goodness and make sure it's covered on all sides. I was worried that some reviews said their beignets did not come out hot and fresh but ours were! I do think the cafe au lait was better at Cafe Beignet though. Glad I could try these and not have to wait in a super long line. PS - Don't eat them in your car especially if you have a black interior. Not a good idea. :)

Beignets so hot and fresh i burned my lip. I've been here a few times to meet a friend out. Not too well traveled, clean tables, and the tables get bused pretty regularly. So it's a nice place somewhat close to my place to meet for a nice café au lait and some fresh (and very hot) beignets.

Oh man. After I got over the biggest embarrassment of my LIFE, I loved Café du Monde. So, I grew up in itty bitty Oklahoma. This means, I am lucky to know English, and anything with a even a SLIGHT accent is like outta the question, until I get corrected. Curse you redneck family! So I walk up to the window and I'm all like, "Can I have a CAFÉ-O-LOT." Yeah, that happened. I'm lucky my husband didn't divorce me on the spot. Anyway, this was my first beignet and boy do I feel like I have missed out! It was crispy and sugary and warm and perfect! I didn't realize Cafe du Monde only served beignets, but whatevs they were yummy and I ate a crap ton to get full.

Awful. Who puts cream and sugar and coffee without asking? And it was awful to boot. At $3.25 a pop, you would think they could at least purchase a better top.

Less crowded than the one in the French Quarter. Lots of seating, clean bathrooms, and plenty of cafe du monde souvenirs to choose from. However something about it makes it feel out of place and made me want to go back to the one in French Quarter.

Café Du Monde was super smart to open a location here. I knew a trip to CDM was in order on my recent trip home. We usually go to the main location in the French Quarter but time got away from us and ,before you know it, my trip was coming to a close. Before catching my early flight, we decided to have beignets here to skip the parking situation in the FQ. I didn't get a chance to look at their hours but they were open at 7ish in the morning (The one in the FQ is a 24/7 location except on select major holidays)! The space is located on Williams Blvd in Kenner which is merely minutes from the airport. We had no trouble parking since they have their own private lot. The location is huge with lots of tables and we dealt with no lines. Plus you're in the AC. They also take credit cards here which is a plus since I never seem to have enough cash when I'm at the FQ one (they are cash only). The employees were super friendly considering it was so early in the morning so they get 2 thumbs up from me! And it was a Sunday! The beignets were hot, fresh and delicious as always. Had to get a Café au lait to go with it too. They also have a huge selection of souvenirs like beignet mix, coffee, mugs. They even have Tervis tumblers with the logo! This will probably be my go to location to get my beignet fix on my way out of town. Especially since they lack a location in the Southwest concourse.

oh come on... who would give café du monde less than five stars? lol just kidding but seriously. I took a three day two night trip to New Orleans which went by way too quick. I got extremely lucky they were five lights down from my hotel otherwise I would have been out of luck. The French quarter location was a bit too far. The staff was very nice and the location was perfect. parking was no problem and neither was seating. They had souvenir shelving with many different to items to purchase like; praline candy, coffee, mugs and etc. The beignets were hands down awesome! I tried two different coffee's. The French press and New Orleans chicory. I preferred the French press.
