Best sushi in Houma! Any time I get sushi, it's always at Osaka. I've tried other places in Houma, but nothing else really compares. The New Orleans crunchy roll is my favorite. The food is ready at a reasonable time - both when dining in and picking up.

We've been going there on and off for a year now. Service was average last year but the food was good, that's why we kept going back. But lately they hired new waitresses that are good but the food is bellow average. The rolls were falling apart and the bento box was just ok. There's no point on going back.

Easily best sushi place I have tried in Houma Rolls were prepared well, fresh and delicious. Each unique. Staff were an absolute pleasure. Had a good conversation with sushi chef who takes so much pride and respect into his craft and only wants to do better. Again, this is something that many sushi places lack is the interaction you have when you seat yourself at the sushi bar. Will definitely be back again when it town for work. I recommend everyone give Osaka a shot.

First of all thanks for the service those guys that working beyond sushi bar. Good experience sushi tour by the chefs. They are know what they doing. U don't even need menu.THEY ARE SPEAK ENGLISH sorry no offense , some sushi bar in houma they don't even talks. Try the live scallop, sweet shrimp, Otoro( tiny slice ,expensive but worth to try) Uni(ask for availability) and chef special rolls. Be back soon and become regular costumer at Osaka.

Good Hibachi for the Houma area! It's not Shogun or Bennie Hanna's but it's good! Clear soup is really good and i recommend the filet on the Hibachi and sushi is ok here!

My daughter and I had lunch at Osaka on MLK recently. It was the best lunch experience I've had in a long time. The service was above excellent. Really nice people. Food was great. Service was quick. Very beautiful and exceptionally clean restaurant. I had the bento box. For $11 it was a great deal. The beautiful variety box came with shrimp tempura, delicious spring rolls, sushi, fried rice, and fried vegetables. I will definitely be visiting them again soon. Thank you Osaka for a wonderful experience!

Best Japanese food (that I have had)! Really, I have been to Japanese restaurants in 10 states, this has been the best. Great fried rice, great soup, rolls, hibachi!

Terrible experience here. Asked for a salmon avocado roll and a few other things.... server brings out a dish of salmon ROE (fish eggs).... At first, I thought oh hey! Freebies mmmmm. But waited all this time and when the server brought out the check, I asked where's our salmon avocado roll..she said it's right there. (Points at THE EGGS).. -___- really? Charged us 12 bucks for that dish btw. Honestly, I only ate like 2 of the little egg salmon roe thing. The manager came out and blamed on us that it was our fault and that we asked for it .... Sweet baby cheezits. Who the hell asks for salmon AVOCADO ROE??? I didn't even get avocados. =___= I'll just end it here. Never going back. In the end we did get our 12 bucks back but in a rude manner.

Sushi restaurants are sprouting up in Houma like bamboo. I am no raw fish aficionado, but this place tends to be my preferred stop. The hibachi chefs make it a fun outing.

I've been here a couple of times; the first time I sat at their hibachi bar and the second time in the normal dinning area. One thing I do appreciate is that their dinning and hibachi are separate sections with a dividing wall in between them. Quiet dinner conversations have separate air-space from all the flaming excitement going on in the hibachi section. The hibachi cook we had was very entertaining and the food was really well prepared and tasty. The second time I went with my mom and sister and we all had a few hand rolls and a chicken wing appetizer. Everything was fresh, tasty and as expected. The wait staff is friendly enough, the prices are decent, I really I have no complaints about this place. I would definitely recommend it.

I am giving this 4 stars on a curve for Houma but honestly I would rate it 3.5 in NOLA or say Houston This place is very good. I had the salmon, snapper, unagi, flying fish roe. All good. they had a choice of orange black or green roe which was the first time i ran into that I had the shrimp tempura roll and it was very good. Good friendly service i have tried a couple of other places in Houma and this was the best. I have not tried Zen.

Great habachi/sushi bar. Brought 11 hungry, largely uncouth, merchant mariners needing separate tickets in and received great food and service. The atmosphere was upbeat and our habachi chef played his part to the T. Shared the company boat for three with two buddies. Added the WhoDat roll (their amazingly delicious house roll). It was a ton of beyond good, very fresh sushi for a reasonable price. Others had various assortments of sushi and steak and shrimp on the habachi grill. No one left hungry or dissatisfied. The gist is this place would be great to entertain a large group, or to bring your hot date to. Nice atmosphere, great food, fair prices and wonderful service.

I LOVE sushi and Ill usually eat it on a buffet since I can really put away some nigiri sushi, especially tuna and my favorite...salmon! But if Im gonna pay for a platter there is no better place for fresh wonderful sushi and sashimi than Osaka.

Excellent service and excellent sushi. The squid salad was the best I have ever had. The salad was garnished with paper thin slices of cucumber and a wonderful slightly spiced sauce. Enough for two to share. The salmon sushi was heavenly . The fish was very fatty with beautiful white stripes and tasted excellent. We had the shrimp tempura roll and only complaint was the white stuff drowning the roll never could Id what that topping is. Minor . Wife had hibachi noodles and they were great . We will return because menu is ambitious and I forgot to order the uni. Oh yes, save room for dessert .We didn't but dessert menu was incredible.
