I got the crabmeat and asparagus salad. They didn't short on the crabmeat or asparagus. Seems like a great place for lunch if you are in the area.

Great little mom and pop deli. The food is good and so is the service. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because the prices are a bit high but then again everything is expensive here in Houma.

I've been eating at Castalano's for 20 years now, and they have always delivered great lunches. There is an extensive menu, with great salads, sandwiches, and hot plates. Not many non-chain restaurants in this town have as many options. Nothing fancy about this place. Just great food.

In a town the size of Houma, there aren't many options other than chain restaurants and fast food places but Castalanos is a good one. Good sandwiches and meals that are fairly reasonably priced. Why only three stars? They have got to be the slowest place I have ever been to in my life. It took almost 45 minutes for them to produce our four sandwiches even though there were only about 7-8 people ahead of us. DO NOT walk in and order; always call ahead and save yourself some time...

I've been a fan of Castalano's since I was in High School. I've been getting the Grilled Chicken Pasta salad since then, and I still love it. I've tried a couple of things from there over the years that I've enjoyed. The chicken parmesan sandwich was pretty good if I remember correctly. My wife loves the Strawberry Spinach Salad and my sister swears by the Philly Cheesesteak. The wait usually isn't too long when ordering pick up or dining in.

This is a nice little lunch place that I think would please everyone. The ingredients are super fresh and you get a good amount of food. I got the Strawberry Salad and added grilled shrimp. There were plenty of them and they tasted great. I didn't like the molasses dressing at all but they will replace it with your own choice. In the past I've had the Veggie Wrap, Portobello Mushroom Poboy and Popcorn Shrimp Salad and all were fantastic. They do have healthy choices along with the not so healthy choices. Either way. Yum.
