My wife and I stopped here on our way to the store. Although it didn't look like they were open at first, window shades made it look dark inside, by we pulled into the parking all the same. Yes, they are open, so we went ahead inside. At first glance it looked pretty fancy, and here I was in shorts and flip flops, but not too fancy for flip flops. The only thing I have negative to say was that for being a bigger guy, they could have sat me at a table that wasn't the smallest one they have, I didn't understand that. But the food and service was awesome. I had the backyard BBQ chicken and my wife had the pepper jelly chicken salad. And for appetizers we had the Duck epanedas (sp). Overall, will be coming back, I'll just make I get a bigger table.

Came in with a party of 7. The service was good. Food came out on time and all, except one of my sides but whatever. Some of us had the rotisserie chicken, some had the Thai ribs. Course the corn grits were a must for a side dish. It's necessary. Corn grits are a staple here. The only thing I would say that was very disappointing was the Thai ribs. It was dry. I mean... My knife wasn't having issues trying to cut it to separate pieces. What a disappointment and an embarrassment to recommend it to my bf's brother bc be ended up not even eating but two bites. I think Clearview location is the better location. But this location was convenient for us to get to especially with the Christmas holiday going on this week sitting through traffic was def not an option.

Food was awesome! I had the full rack of ribs with grilled corn and red beans and rice. The server was ok. He was slow and would always try and up sell us, even when we said no. Place was pretty busy and clean.

Been here a couple times never really had bad service but the other night my gf and I decide to come here just before going to see a movie, the place was empty and there was a booth open by the bar. It took 10 min before the bartender came and asked us for our drink order and we went ahead and order app and entrees. Well it Took another 10 minutes for the appetizer to come out, then after that 15 minutes went by and we still hadnt received our food or been asked if we would like a refill on our drinks. The whole time the bartender was occupied doing everything else except tending to us, but what broke the straw on the camels back was when I got up to go to the bathroom looked through the window of the kitchen and saw him eating and talking to another server, that really pissed me off, won't be back here ever again

Really good lunch specials. I usually get the fried chicken and corn grits. The serving is usually way more than a lunch portion and I always have left overs. Although Zea is a chain, it's still a good place to stop for lunch. I feel bad for writing such a short review, but there really is nothing more to say about the place!
(4)

Well I may be biased in that the night I went to this place I had the date from hell... so who knows if my review will be on point... oh wait. I think that means that if I did not have the biotch from hell then maybe Zea would have been even better. hmm. So we had some tuna appetizer - Ahi I think. It was good... and we had some salad I think... uhh no, that may have been at the point she told me that I was a jerk and rude. so not sure. but oh, I DO indeed remember the bad-ass Bellinis and the fact that the biotch sucked down 3-4 of them, which I believe had something to do with her bizarre behavior and various untrue accusations that she made about me. So all in all I give Zea a big four stars... who knows how good it may have been on a good night with a good date?

I haven't been to this location in years. So my girlfriend and I thought to go. Got seated down right away. Seem like it was rush hour. Server Robert P, seem like it didn't want to serve us or having a bad day. He talked very soft and bothered. Took our drinks, and appetizers. That was fine. Got my drink that was filled with only ice, so I had to dump most of the ice out and ask for a refill. Didn't get it til 15 mins later and had to remind him about it. Girlfriend order Thai Ribs with how she wanted on her plate, but that wasn't successful. I order corn grits when I ordered my meal, which was in the beginning, and had to remind Robert, and he gave it to me in the middle of the meal. This server never came to check up on us not even once. Only if we called him over. Had to ask him for the check and togo boxes. Took over 15-20 mins. Btw, I counted the tables he had, he had 6 table altogether and every table was looking around for him. One of his table actually complain, and someone else took his place for a short minute. Another server, then brings us out the corn grits when we was packing our food. He gave us the corn grits for free. Robert finally came back with our check, and apologize about the wait.

I don't think I could praise this place enough. The best food I have had in a long time. I order the chicken and ribs. Chicken was cooked with garlic and her seasoning and the ribs were cooked with a teriyaki seasoning. Absolutely amazing and mouth watering food. I have found my favorite place to eat and would recommend this place to everyone.

I go here for one reason...Corn Grits. Once they hit your lips, so good. They're Gold beer is pretty tasty as well. Everything else, just doesn't draw me in the way these do.

Came here recently for a family dinner while in town visiting. We were trying to find something that was not a natonal chain restaurant and not Asian cuisine. Decided on this place since it offers a little of everything and it's a local chain. We had to wait a little longer than a party of 2 because we had a large party so be forewarned. You may have to arrive a little early especially on a weekend night. Once we were seated, our server took great care of us. I apologize for not remembering his name but he was awesome and handled our large party like a pro! Took orders promptly, followed up, did proper refills and kept checking in. The spicy edamame was a hit. He recommended the pesto crusted fillets which were outstanding! I chose the roasted corn and braised cabbage as my sides. The corn was yummy...... my family ordered the duck empanadas, ribs and spinach dip. I didn't try but based on everyone's reactions and the empty dishes, they were popular. The rotisserie chicken was also a hit and such huge portions. There was really nothing that anyone could even complain about. Food and service was on point. This is one of the nicer restaurants on the Westbank/ Manhattan Blvd. Definitely worth checking out for a nicer, sit down dinner.

We went with the thai ribs, Korean BBQ tacos and sides of mashed sweet potato and roasted corn grits. I would come here for the corn grits alone as they were 5 stars hands down. Unfortunately the rest of the meal was not so great. Tacos were okay, but really lacked flavor. The ribs were almost meatless and really dry and hard to chew. The service was really bad as well. Our waitress was in a bad mood which is fine, we all have bad days, but you have to at least make an effort to fake it, when serving people. Both she and the manager were unattentive. My water was empty, no big deal, however both my waitress and then the manager noticed it, commented on it, said they would be right back, neither to return for maybe 15 minutes.

Yummy Mac and cheese with mushrooms. Liked how the rice for red beans and rice wasn't mushy. We had an exceptionally friendly waitress, Mary.

This is a nice place if you're with a group that wants something quiet and a little more upscale. It's not ridiculously expensive. It's a quieter restaurant; please don't bring your screaming child here! I don't think groups would be a problem - there are booths along the walls and chairs in the center.

So I moved from New Orleans to Fort Worth where the culinary arts are not a top priority like it is here -so it is always a treat to come here and gain a few pounds. We started with their oh-so-tasty Thai ribs and I had the pesto/potato encrusted Trout with corn grits and roasted potatoes. My dining partners had fish tacos and they were devoured. Good staff and prompt service make this place probably my favorite chain restaurant. Love, love, love Zea.

Great service, great food. They are a chain restaurant that serves food like a local one. The seasoning of the food is fantastic and the people there are always really nice and courteous, The portions are good and there has never being a long wait for every time we have been there.

Zea is my go to spot for a consistently tasty meal. Pesto crusted trout, grilled/bronzed trout, asian almond shrimp, corn grits, grilled chicken breast, and thai ribs are among my favorites. Zea is always a reliable choice for lunch or dinner.
The food here is usually good. I ordered take out last week around 4pm all the sides was old. My corn grits was old the corn in there was brown not even yellow like the usual and the rice was dry and old. Quite disappointed. I also had the chicken, ribs,& pasta that was good.

From the moment we entered the experience was excellent. Our server was informative. Reviews directed us to a wonderfully fulfilling meal. The appetizers were excellent, both shrimp dishes. The truffle Mac and cheese was very good. The entrees of ribeye and veal were very well done. The sweet potato bread pudding was to die for.

That was by far one of the best meals I've had in quite some time. Food was great, price was reasonable, and service was spectacular! We were greeted quickly and the hostess chatted with us for a few minutes once we were at our table. They even allowed us to sit at a booth with a Carseat which Pay restaurants don't allow, but booths are better when you have other small children. I was a bit nervous when I first walked in because it was mostly older couples dining and we had two children with us. Our server was Tabitha and she was great! She talked with my 5 year old and played with the baby! We had the Korean BBQ tacos for an appetizer, they were great. My husband had the shrimp pasta, after Tabitha assured him it was not as spicy as the menu made it seem. It was perfect, the sauce was flavorful and not spicy at all. I had the roasted garlic and herb chicken...SO JUICY!! I had to order the corn grits because of all of the people talking about it on here, Tabitha brought us a sample beforehand, they were great!! For dessert, despite wanton to try the caramel toffee mousse that was suggested (husband didn't want it) we had the turtle cheesecake! Yummy! My son doesn't usually eat sweets, but he ate about half of this one!! Our drinks were never less than half full, the food was great! Our server was awesome, and the ambiance was great! One thing that really impressed me was the speed, we were discussing the purchase of a new car and before we could even look at out books after the appetizer, our food was at the table! This is going to be a new regular for us!!

I love this place! It has great service and they refill your drinks without asking! The best thing there is there Thai ribs and corn grits!!!! Don't get me wrong, I liked everything else I've had there too! Asian almond shrimp, Asian tuna salad, Twice crispy duck, shrimp and grits, Balsamic salmon, rotisserie chicken, and buttered sweet potatoes. The portions are huge enough to share but I never share the corn grits!!!! Lol They are amazing. I could go in and eat just that but since I love to eat , I order a lot more! Check it out, it won't disappoint!

Been here two times so far and the food is amazing! Every zeas location I've been been consistently good. Everything from their beef to their corn grits are cooked perfectly. Last time I went, I had their chicken sandwich. And it couldn't have been more perfect. The service on the other hand could use a little work. The first time i went was Ok. But the second time I was served by a waiter who was obviously semi-retarded. This guy ignored the table half of the time. There were several times where I tried to get our waiters attention and he looked directly at me and just kept walking. Wtf is that?!?!?!? Then he comes back like "what do you want?". What do I want? I want you to do your fucking job and give me some service you asshat looking buffoon!!! The way this guy talked was just weird. How the hell does a guy like this get a job here?!?!? Overall this place is the shit, because the quality of food is incredible. But you do run the risk of getting a waiter who is stupid.

Bang for the buck, Zea's can't be beat. Went here for a casual dinner after work, Thai ribs and sweet chili glazed chicken was great as always. Wife's shrimp and grits were also delicious. Service was ok to good. The St. Charles location is my favorite, but this location is the closest to my house.

Took me awhile to warm up to this place but I do like eating here. The Thai ribs are really good. I get them with the mashed sweet potatoes and the roasted corn. The rotisserie chicken is great as well.

Love this place, and I can count on the food being consistent. Come her quite frequent as this is my favorite pace to eat. In approximately 7 years, I have only had to complain twice. Both times, the response and willingness to correct the situation was to my pleasing. Food is affordable, flavorable, and the overall experience is enjoyable. Favorite dishes are the rotisserie (sweet n spicy) chicken, red beans n rice with fried chicken, and bronzed trout. My favorite sides are the corn grits and sweet potatoes-YUM!!!

This place was amazing. I liked it alot. Their steak was so tender and the Thai Snap Peas were great. The environment was nice as its kind of a romantic spot cause of the lighting. Dont worry if you get a headache, its supposed to make your food taste better. The service was amazing, never had an empty glass and the intervals for the "How is everything?" was just fine. Its a good conversation starter when the conversation with people you are with dies out. Enjoy, everyone!

I love to stop by this place every time I'm in town. The ribs are great... with some sides, the half rack is enough food for a big man like me. Also, their margaritas are very strong for the low price. The beers are good too.

My first time dining at Zeas. Had the Korean Rib app and it was very good, The roast chicken was good and the roast pork was goood but the sauce that came on the pork was too comercial. The service was just ok and the knife in my DC's rollup was clearly dirty, the silver in both roll ups had water spots and deffinatly not buffed. Overall a good meal.

A little tang and a lot of bang! Arrived in New Orleans and was craving for some rotisserie chicken so ordered some food to-go. Got the Sweet & spicy glazed chicken with the Thai ribs and 2 sides (didn't get to taste the sides since I was so full from the chicken and ribs). I'm always a fan of sweet and spicy things since it's always a nice flavor in my mouth. The ribs were fall of the bones tender and juicy and the chicken was tender and flavorful as well. The portions are always big and you'll definitely leave full and satisfied. Definitely come here if you're hungry!

This came up under thai and I can't figure out why for the life of me it would. I've only had take out/ catering from here so I can't say anything about the service or ambiace... other than if I'm driving around in that area I always curse their traffic. All that aside I really have enjoyed everything I've had and the corn grits are amaZING. The green beans have occasionally been undercooked, but again we were doing large portion catering so usually things are a little less awesome. Which means I have grand hopes if I ever actually go in to eat.

I've been going to the Zea's in Harahan for over a decade, the Clearview location since they opened, and they rarely disappoint. So going to the Harvey location I was expecting the same consistent menu and service. Of course they didn't disappoint in either of my two visits to the westbank. The first trip was a thin southern catfish kind of day. Now Zea's doesn't skimp on portions and they didn't here but I wouldn't consider the catfish thin. Middendorf's now that's thin. Trust me: NOT complaining, in the least. It was still a good meal sides and all. During the latest visit I had the Breaux Bridge Shrimp Pasta. Good sized portion and enough shrimp. One thing though if it's your first time: Their cream sauce is rich. I like it, but I can understand for some it may be a turn off. Fortunately ,there are plenty of other choices if you're not a cream sauce kind of person. (Like Tai ribs, *gurgle*) Staff was friendly checked for refills and brought extra lemon for my tea which is always nice. Overall, while they've grown over the years, I'm glad to see they are able to manage that growth and deliver consistently.

Non-foodie locals love this place. I'm not sure why. The service is acceptable and the brewery beer is decent. I recently went there for lunch and tried the Pulled Duck Sliders off of their seasonal Fall menu. I was very impressed with the contents of the sliders. The duck had a great flavor and the buns were pretty basic. I believe they were $8 or $9 for three small sliders. I've never really seen the attraction to this place so the sliders were a pleasant surprise.

What used to be a fairly uneventful and empty waste of space (called Semolina Pasta) is now a very popular Zea restaurant on the West Bank. I've had the fortune of visiting home last week and got to catch up with some girlfriends at Zea. Parking is super ample because it shares the same lot as the Palace Movie Theatres. I definitely recommend lunch during the week; as crowded as it is, the prices are wallet friendly! The wait was roughly 30 minutes, but that's because we rolled in at noon. When we were seated, we noticed that there was a cold ass draft because we were sitting right under the vent! Don't sit in the back if you want to avoid getting chills. Anyhow, I tried their platter of the day which includes a protein (Thursdays - sliced lamb with mint demi-glace) and two sides (Thai snap beans & Zea potatoes). The price is perfect (about $11) and the portion is too huge! The lamb was overcooked and dry and the sauce used to mask that dryness wasn't very yummy. The Thai snap beans were sweet and crisp, while the potatoes were just lame country style potatoes, super deep fried. One friend ordered the Ahi tuna salad which is basically a seared medium rare ahi tuna steak on top of greens with some funky shaped deep fried wonton chips and dressing....it looked SOOOO good I wish I had tried it. Madison was our server and she was extremely professional (even though a knife was dropped - no injuries!) and super duper nice and always smiling....she definitely rocked our lunch! I'd definitely return here if I ever come back home - Zea is affordable and the atmosphere is definitely welcoming.

Waitress (Jessica) was very polite, informative, and was able to suggest certain items from the menu that wouldn't take very long to cook, as I was in a hurry. I had the "Shrimp Breaux Bridge Pasta. It had a nice intimate vibe and would probably be a great place for a date. The music was pretty cool too. I am VERY happy with my first experience here hope to have many, many, more. :-)

Can't go wrong with the Thai's ribs, corn grits, and sweet potato mash. Actually, most of the entree here are very good. I wished they would put the fried calamari back on the menu as regular. There is usually a long wait . Manager often does goes around and check on you during your dining to ensure that everything is okay.

LOUISIANA FUSION Almost exclusively found in Louisiana, this restaurant chain has found the happy medium to satisfy the local taste buds' cravings for both spicy and well seasoned cuisine for the price conscious diner. Whenever I mention Zea Rotisserie, there is always plenty of yes sayers. So I must try and taste first hand. Here's what we ordred for a late Friday lunch: Asian Almond Shrimp: Fried crisp, honey ginger chili glaze 1/2 order = 3 shrimps... drenched in sticky viscous sauce providing for an excuse to lick your fingers Daily Rotisserie Feature- Thursday Special: Lamb Sirloin with lamb jus, mustard mint sauce... Yu-go was happy Two sides selected Roasted Corn Grits and French Fries... great fillers BBQ Chicken and Ribs: Thai Sweet and Spicy sauces 1/4 chicken... moist and surprisingly tasty; and 1/4 rack of ribs (St Louis style )... to me they're boiled tender and my least favorite method of preparation. Two sides selected : Thai Snap Beans and Red Beans and Rice... very satisfying. The daily lunch specials are worth considerng and so is their signature rotisserie chicken. Waitstaff is polite, professional and attentive. Reciptionst wanted to seat us by her podium next to the doorway when nearly the entire restauant was pretty much empty on this very cold day. Of course we interceded and asked to be seated deep in the interior of the restaurant where it was definitely warmer.

Zea has great food personally, I love the Asian Almond shrimp for an appetizer, but defiantly do not get the spinach and artichoke..it's not the best but as far as meals go I get the rotisserie chicken and it's very tender meat, as sides go, the roasted corn grits and Thai snap beans are DELISH! (:
Zea's Restaurant is one of my favorite restaurant! Comfort food! I always get the Mediterranean Hummus, Thai ribs with double sides of roasted corn grits, or Asian Almond shrimps. Hummus- love this! They top it off with feta cheese, sundried tomatoes, onions, garlic, &olive oil. The pita bread is the best... I search high and low for some'n like this at the grocery store but can't find any. Thai Ribs- they always come out tender and moist. Corn grits- very buttery and fatten when it hits your lips but it's so worth it. I think they just load it with a lot of butter and heavy cream!

Different wait staff every time, different management, $6.50 for 3 shrimp (really?? We're in Louisiana where I can get two pounds of shrimp for $6!) 30+ minute wait for appetizers, wrong food brought out, and weird chef woman walking around giving the death stare to everyone (this part was very strange). Definitely an off night for this normally decent venue. Not sure we'll be back.

Zea's has an amazing reputation for a reason! From the first we walked in we were greeted warmly then seated. The manager came out and took our orders personally and explained the menu to us. Thai Ribs: SUCCULENT! Definitely one of their staples that you absolutely must get. I think it was around 14$ for a half rack with two sides. Korean BBQ Tacos: 4 tortillas, comes with the BBQ meat in a bowl and the special slaw in another. If I wasn't so hungry and if this wasn't so good I MIGHT have shared. This is a great dish to share IMO however you might not WANT to lol. (Appetizer option? Hint Hint!) Grits: I wanted to get shrimp n grits (which I hear is another staple to get here) but alas I HAD NO MORE ROOM! My friend told me that I NEEDED this in my life so I decided to get a side of grits. Let me tell you that the flavor is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I don't know what they put in it besides corn but it is a tiny slice of heaven. I will definitely be back and try their Shrimp n Grits! Dessert!: We had no more room but on the menu they had this pecan sweet potato rum bread pudding. I saw the manager bring out a slice (huge portion) to another guest. So jelly, why must my stomach be so small and feeble? I'll definitely be back, the prices were fair for the quality and portion of food received and on top of that we received EXCELLENT service! For anybody who hasn't tried the grits I say you MUST try it, it's simply divine!

I don't know why, but I had hesitation about trying this place. After the awesome lunch I had there today, it's easily now a Westbank favorite for me. I had the fish tacos and corn grits. The corn grits were phenomenal! But what really drew me in was the amazing kid's menu! You don't find many kid's menus that exceed mac 'n cheese and chicken tenders, but Zea's was great! Service was fine, price was reasonable. No complaints! We'll definitely be back, kids in tow ;)

Like always this place has the best food ever. I had the balsamic Salmon with the corn grits and Thai snap peas. I ordered the Mediterranean hummus which is so good. No matter what you order you can't go wrong with anything you order. I love this place.

Friendly staff and very attentive to the customers. I had a little trouble with the menu because it was my first time there and my waiter was really nice and patient about it. He literally walked me through the menu . The only problem I had was it was really humid. I'm not sure if that's an everyday thing, but besides that it was a really nice restaurant. Very affordable and elegant atmosphere.

First, let's start with the smell of the restaurant... Take the shutters off the windows, open them, and let some air and light in!! This place smells like dirty laundry!! It doesn't make for a pleasant dining experience if you have a good nose. And while we're talking about the lighting... Why is the bathroom dark?! Who wants to go into a semi lit bathroom?! LET SOME LIGHT AND FRESH AIR INTO THE PLACE!!! Secondly, the food on this particular day was sub par. I had a dry looking piece of meat w/no seasoning. Only thing that seemed fresh on my plate were my fries.

Absolutely fantastic! It is not expensive considering the quality of the food. Try it. You will love it!

Let me start by saying I reserve a four star rating for a place that is great! This place is pretty darn good. I had the rotisserie chicken and it was very, very tasty. I'd definitely go back probably more for a lunch, but I was impressed by the flavor of their food. The Korean tacos were great as an appetizer, but the wife's entrée was pretty mediocre.

OMG this place is amazing I live in South Carolina and I would go all the way back there just for the food. The Korean ribs were amazing. Can't wait for my next trip there

(5)Gene G.

(5)Larry F.

(5)Guy S.

Very good - excellent food, good service, amazing desserts!

OMG!! I'm in love with this place! The Thai ribs are to die for and the corn grits...mmmmmmm goood. see pic.
(5)Xander L.
(5)J T.
(5)Ken H.
A little expensive, but worth it ! the Thai ribs are excellent, different, but really tasty !
(4)Sarah P.
thai ribs and corn grits were so good!! i am a hugeee fan of ribs and these ones were delicious. perfectly tender and excellent sauce. the grits were delicious as well and tasted really good with the sauce from the thai ribs. good service and nice place. would definitely come back for those two things.

Love love love!!! I love the coconut shrimp, the mash sweet potatoes are to die for, and the wet thai ribs are the best!

(4)Kameron B.
(4)La C.
Excellent service and the food came out in a timely manner. The Thai ribs are Slap Yo Momma Goooooood! The Roasted Corn Grits are so good I almost ordered seconds and thought again about thirds. Warning... Do not get the Sautéed Spinach, it's just O.K.
(5)Trang D.
(4)C C.
(2)Reyna C.
(5)Megan W.
(5)Wendy H.
Like always this place has the best food ever. I had the balsamic Salmon with the corn grits and Thai snap peas. I ordered the Mediterranean hummus which is so good. No matter what you order you can't go wrong with anything you order. I love this place.
(5)Jen D.
(5)Christina S.
