I got the cattle roll, crunchy, vegetable, and rock-n-roll. The cattle roll was interesting, seared beef on top of rice with crab stick. The others were all delicious as usual. Nothing too big to fit in your mouth. I haven't tried the hibachi yet.

My Tennou review is definitely due for an update. First of all, they are doing a lot to fix the place up and it is looking really nice these days. I now have a few "usuals" whenever I go. I always get the noodle.salad. Granted I haven't been to every sushi place in NOLA, but besides Hana or Mikimoto, this is one of the few places that I have found that has noodle salad. Please correct me if I'm wrong, because I love the stuff! You get a huge order for $3.50 and it's so good. Another fave is the salmon sashimi, which you get 7 pieces of and is still cut really thick. The Philly roll and the tuna rolls are awesome and every once in a while I'll treat myself to the salmon roe or the rainbow roll. The food is always super fresh and the service is fast and friendly. They are always adding different special rolls, so be sure to ask about them.
(5)Michael D.
Very good sushi. Love the passion roll. Service could be somewhat friendlier (server seemed rushed).
(4)Mynhan N.
The fish is not fresh. If you order any fish be warned. It will have a very strong fishy taste which is not good. Their non fish rolls are good. I enjoy their dragon rolls the most which is made with avocado and eel with eel sauce. Some of their sushi are over priced considering it is not fresh, but the service is good and they have a huge variety of food Items of their menu.

The service was very slow and the waiter was VERY RUDE. While my friends have eaten here and said the food was good. They also complained about the service.

This place is overrated. I've read all the reviews and happened to be on the Wbank yesterday so decided to give this place a try for lunch. The only good thing about this place was the service. It was not very friendly but it was fast/efficient. Now, about food. I ordered their Philly roll and it was tasteless, mediocre at best. The person I was with ordered a lunch box which came with soup, salad, Cali roll, Chicken Teriyaki, dumplings and broccoli. It was a generous amount of tasteless food. Won't be back.

Dined here with a friend awhile back (a little over a year ago but I'm new to Yelp). The service was terrible. Drinks sat empty. We were ignored when we walked in. There were 2 tables occupied in the restaurant when we arrived. It was a week day and 90 minutes 'till closing. A table with a couple, a large 8-10 top and my friend and I. The large table seemed to be the only one receiving any attention. We figured we could live with the lack of attention so long as the sushi was good. The rolls were okay. Then we were served yellow fin nigiri that was so dry, we questioned whether or not it was still safe to eat. Just looking at it, you could tell it wasn't right. Not sure how the hell a sushi chef handled this with his hands and then decided the presentation was even remotely acceptable - the coloring wasn't even right. It looked like tuna that had just sat out for several hours. This pretty much did it for us. We paid the bill and got the hell out of there. It sucks because I frequently drive by here and visit the Verizon store (which is very friendly) in the parking lot, but I won't bother giving Tennou another shot after that experience.

Tennou is the best sushi restaurant in the wank. Been going since I was a kid and they never fail to disappoint. I come in so much the lady at the bar knows my boyfriend & I and exactly what we want. We order all our rolls with no avocado/asparugus. They have the best baked salmon & beef titaki in New Orleans. Call me simple but my favorite roll is the RocknRoll. I'm not too big on expanding my sushi because I stick to the regulars that never disappoint. I also ask them to cut it into 8 pc so it's easier to eat! Service is somewhat okay. If they had a nicer staff of waitresses/waiters I'd give a 5 star. Sometimes they tend to ignore my table or just seem unfriendly.. Maybe it's me, I don't know. I'd choose Tennou over any sushi restaurant though.
(4)Lilly V.
Tennou is probably the best sushi joint in the Westbank. The food here is fantastic compared to all the other sushi joints in the Westbank! My favorite appetizers: -Baked Salmon. It's perfect. Just the way I like it. It always has the right amount of eel sauce. -Beek Tataki. I love the onions they top it with. Other sushi places don't always give onions. -Hamachi Kama. -Green Mussels are good. My favorite rolls are: -Hawaiian Roll -Tennou Roll -Crunchy roll with cream cheese added. I've tried various things here. These are my all time faves!
(4)Joshua H.
I went here with a friend of mine once. The taste of the food was great. However the next day I have some serious stomach problems due to the food. Other than that I would give it 5 stars.
(2)Lynna V.
One of my favorite sushi places. If I have a sushi craving Tennou will definitely satisfy my taste buds. The sushi taste fresh and the sauces they use on everything taste better then other places sauces. The Beef Nekimaki appetizer is by far the best in New Orleans. And they have Noodle Salad! How can a sushi place not have that! My boyfriend says the Chicken Terriaki dinner compared to all other sushi places in New Orleans is also amazing. My Favorites there: Beef Nekimaki, Noodle Salad, Baked Salmon, Gyoza, Snow Crab Naruto, Shrimp Tempora Roll, Hawaiian Roll and of course the Cali Roll.
(5)Le N.
BEST SUSHI PLACE IN THE WESTBANK! I've been going here since they opened and have been a loyal customer ever since. If I'm craving sushi, this is my go to place. It's excellent sushi with affordable pricing. They are not stingy on the portions neither. The staff is very friendly and are really get to know their regular customers. My favorite roll has to be the Sexiest Man Roll. On the inside is spicy tuna and snowcrab and on top are slices of fresh salmon and tuna with spicy mayo and eel sauce drizzled on top. It's divine! I've recently ordered one of the Bento Boxes, which included Salmon Teriyaki, California Roll, 5 different kinds of sushi, Cucumber & Squid Salad, fresh fruit, and soup & salad, for only $17.95! It was a steal! They also have lunch specials 7 days a week with great pricings as well. Some other things I would recommend are: Appetizers: Tempura, Baked Salmon, Baked Mussel, Gyoza, Hamachi Kama Salads: Seafood Salad, Tennou Special Salad Noodles: Yaki Udon Teriyaki: Beef, Chicken, Salmon Speciality Rolls: Tennou Roll, Tiger Roll, New Orleans Roll, Snowcrab Naruto, Salmon Naruto, Lizard Roll, Sexiest Man Roll And of course you have all of your other basic items you would find at any sushi restaurant...these are just some of my favorites here. I promise you after coming here you will not be disappointed!
(5)Dustin D.
I'm a fan of sushi so most places that serve sushi are already good in my books, but this place is nice and spacious and everything is very affordable.
(4)Pam T.
Meh! Just had the most disgusting sushi in the world. Just head to Cafe Zen or Daiwa. Don't waste your money
(1)David P.
Excellent sushi and service, but little expensive.
(4)Larry F.
Came here on Tuesday night and I'm starving. I wish they had an AYCE option but I guess lots of people don't eat it as much here in NOLA as Vegas. Service was great and portion of food matches the price. Not that much selection from the regular menu if you are looking for something other than teriyaki or udon. Service is great and they are very attentive. Great sushi here on the Westbank. Gotta get the Hamachi which comes in 7 pieces and very thick w/o rice. The beef tataki was just amazing. It's a thin seared beef on top of onions and drenched in ponzu sauce.
(4)Sophia H.
Their sushi doesn't taste good at all. It tastes like home-made sushi. I only ate there once and never again.
(2)ry m.
This is my favorite sushi bar in town. While I do agree any place you become a regular is the best sushi spot, I have to say the sushi here is superior to all in both taste and innovative dishes-maybe Rock-n-Sake is a bit more adventurous in its rolls but thats a seperate review. The cajun tuna salad is absolutely amazing as is the whitefish cerviche. the tuna is seared tuna goodness with avocado, the whitefish cerviche is escolar crisped with a blow torch served with onion and sauces--AMAZING. Lastly I'd say the Lucky Lady roll is probably my favorite menu roll. Overall it's worth me passing the numerous uptown sushi spots from home to go to Tennou-nuff said.
(4)Daryl T.
I had sushi here when I was visiting New Orleans. I don't remember the names of the sushi at all, which I regret. It was fairly priced, but the sushi was awesome. One of the plates that I remember the waiter had suggested was some tuna dish that was drizzled with very tasty sauce. The texture of the tuna with the sauce was not the expected fishy taste, but rather a steak-like taste and texture. it was just so good.. One of the waiters is my friend, and his name is Loi. If you are a first-timer when it comes to selecting very delicious sushi, then I suggest you recommend Loi as your waiter!

Every time I drive by this restaurant, it looks so dead and empty! Dead and empty brings forth a fear of anxiousness because if said restaurant was indeed dead and empty, then surely the freshness and integrity of the choice fish would be compromised???? But no, and I must say that this restaurant is really great for people on this side of the river. The sushi bar easily can seat about 10 or 14 and is spacious. The restaurant has booths lining the perimeter of the permises and wooden tables in between. The spacing of these tables are very figure friendly. Had the crunchy roll with soy wrap, agedashi tofu (fried PERFECTLY and crispy YUM), squid salad, snowcrab naruto, and pepper girl roll. Snowcrab naruto was very boring - obviously the skills to cut the cucumber was lacking, what should've been one long sheet ended up being several cut pieces like a rose petal. That lead to the uselessness of chopsticks because it broke apart before one picks it up. Pepper girl roll was GREAT though and beautifully presented. Seared tuna tataki with snowcrab on top and other misc items. It was gooooooooood! This restaurant IS a bit more pricey than other Japanese restaurants, but if you don't feel like driving across the bridge, then this place will have to do. Come 6:30 pm and there was just a huge influx of folks coming in. I was shocked and plesantly surprised at the amount of foot traffic. Anyway, come either before 6:30 or after 8 to ensure best waiting services.
(4)Kent C.
This place is not horrible, but I would never come back. There is a lot of talk around town about how this place is amazing but it's just an ordinary sushi joint. The rolls are really small, expensive, and poorly made. This place is nowhere close to authentic sushi, and is watered down for Americans in order to make a profit.
(2)Matt R.
Always good, quick, and comfortable atmosphere! some of the ceiling tiles need to be changed cause of age, but the establishement is excellent. I could eat there every week!
(5)Amy T.
My favorite sushi joint on the westbank. I ALWAYS get the salmon sashimi. I love the big, cold chunks of salmon they give. It's not super thin and they really don't skimp on the portions. It's always so fresh and tastyyyyy! My boyfriend LOVES the sexiest man roll. He said it's one of his favorite sushi rolls EVER. I used to always get the Westbank roll. Lately, we've been ordering the calamari as an appetizer. It has a barbecue like sauce as a dipper. I like it because the squid pieces are large and tentacles are large (my favorite part). Large and super tender, not chewy at all! My son LOVES the tennou popper roll. It's served as an appetizer but he eats it as his entree. We always order 2 of these. It's so good! And I don't even like cream cheese in my sushi rolls... They always are steady with atleast couple tables free and we always get seated right away or in a couple of minutes. Ever since they opened the hibachi section, it's been so busy!! Just beware!!
(4)Nicole C.
Adding a star! Walked in on a Monday night, not crowded. Were seated in a booth right away. Our server was attentive. Ordered clear soups, noodle salads, a few Crunchy Rolls, and Metairie Roll. All came out in timely fashion. Very pleased and craving satisfied!
(4)Whitney P.
My experience with Tennou today wasnt the best, i ordered chicken teriyaki and the heart attack roll. The first problem i had was that my salad was sitting in atleast 2 cm of water. The osmashi is delisious which is kinda hard to mess up. Once i moved on to the sushi, the heart attack roll, is deep fried so i was shocked to see it with little batter. The entire roll was filled with cream cheese, little fish, and no jalapeonos.... also was very mushy, no crisp feature too. Finally the teryaki chicken was okay. Not a huge fan of their sauce, extremely thick and looked more like a thick syrup. Thr absoult worse thing was the stemmed veggies, they literally tasted like CARDBOARD. Overall everything wasnt seasoned, very bad quality..

Tennou is a great place to get your sushi fix. The west bank has several great lunch spots, but I was in the mood for something different. A friend recommended Tennou which turned into a great meal. The restaurant has a casual vibe with booths along the wall and tables in the center. The ambiance may have been casual, but the food was very good. We started with an order of salmon sashimi. It was excellent. The salmon was obviously fresh and of very high quality with no obvious "fishy" taste. I have never had salmon sashimi before today, but it may be my new favorite. We also ordered the dynamite, philly and rainbow rolls. All were fresh, well constructed and tasted great. Service was also very good. We were never left wanting refills, but the server also didn't hover and try and eavesdrop on our conversation. I highly recommend Tennou for lunch.
(4)Brittany V.
If you want really good sushi at a good price well this place is it!! If you enjoy eel and white fish the white dragon roll is the best!! The sexiest man alive roll is my girlfriends fav as it has a little bit of everything. It's an explosion in your mouth!! The simple rolls are even awesome. Sushi is always fresh and never small. Service has always been good to us. I always stop here to eat when I'm in New Orleans.
(5)Christina J.
I've eaten here for years, but recently they added hibachi to the menu. Decided to test it out today but I was not satisfied at all. I had been craving hibachi so I thought I'd give my go to place a go. I should've gone to Fuji Hana :[
(3)Sarah D.
Best rainbow roll ever. I e eatin at most sushi places on the eastbank of Nola and worked at little Tokyo for 4 years.. I know my sushi and these guys can cut fish, squid steak-awesome. Really well priced crunchy dynamite and other regular rolls top out at $5.75. Really nice atmosphere and the staff is super nice, if you find yourself on the West Bank wanting sushi.. Go here.
(5)Jenny M.
Went here an hour before they close on a Sunday. I walked in and smell the fumes of the chemical they were cleaning their kitchen with. The waitress was ready to go home so our service was quite awful. A friend of mine had water when he was nearly done he found a tiny baby roach in it, yes gross!!! We showed it to the waitress she grab it and ran off. We were like really!?? We been here a few times it's was alright but this time is it!
(2)David C.
I would have liked to give 4.5 but 5 is closer than 4 I've been to Tennou at least a dozen times, and have eaten sushi all over the USA. EVERY time I have been to Tennou I have been satisfied The Ego roll is arguably the best roll I have ever tried anywhere. Perfectly balanced Good Tuna Tataki, Squid Salad, And the specialty rolls offer great balance and freshness
(5)Carrie M.
I just moved here from Charleston, SC so my standards of food are high. It was quiet during the afternoon during the week, so sitting at a booth was no problem. I asked for extra ginger while I waited and they gave it to me, no questions or extra charge. Friendly staff, nice looking place, and SPOTLESS restroom. I Got the Heart-Attack Roll and a CA roll...the heart-attack one should have been the only one I got! YUMMY...
(4)Daniela J.
delicious and fairly priced.. i have gone here twice.. i usually don't go because the parking lot is always so compacted and full but when its not i try to go
(4)Annie P.
As bad as it gets. The food here is way below average. Probably because of the LOW QUALITY. I don't know. They just don't taste fresh and are bland in flavor. I have given this place many chances, but after that last visit, tennou is off my list. I regret all those time and money i spend on this restaurant.
(1)Jeff O.
Really should be 3.5 but 3 currently. may get kicked up 1/2 a star after repeat visits. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and wasn't supremely impressed. The entree was brought out on a 'fajita' style plate still sizzling. Wife got the chicken bento box, it was quite good.
(3)I W.
Really pleasant staff, especially the lady at the bar. The sushi is great! The hibachi chef was hilarious! My family really love this place! It's just the rice I personally can't stand.
(4)Jess C.
Not good at all. Fish was fishy and I had to throw it away after one bite that I spit out. Noodle salad is flavorless. Wasted money. Maybe it was an off day I dunno cause lots of people like this place. It'll be while before I work up the courage to try it again.
(2)Trang D.
Tennou is one of the original sushi restaurants on the westbank, before Fuji Hana and Daiwa. I haven't been to this place in yearssss. Blame it on Mikimotos. Tennou added the hibachi grill. I can make my own fried rice at home. Good for family I guess and $11 lunch for rice and noodle dishes. I went here for dinner and it was really good! Beef Teriyaki- really tender and juicy. I wish the teriyaki sauce was left on the beef caramelized instead of coming in a bowl separately. Comes with salad with ginger dressing and soup. ( I could careless for the sides and forgot to ask to substitute) Baked Salmon- this use to come with 2 balls for $8+ but now it's just 1 for $5.50. Bummer. This is snowcrab meat mixed in Japanese mayo and then formed into a ball. Salmon use to be wrapped around the ball but the one I got was just a slice of salmon on top of the ball. Poboy Roll- wrapped with soy paper and stuffed with soft shell crab, crawfish, shrimp tempura, and lettuce and drizzled with spicy mayo + eel sauce. Really tasty! Each bite had crawfish and I'm a crawfish lover! Lizard Roll- snowcrab stick, shrimp tempura with cream cheese. Yummy I want to come back here for the happy hour sushi!
(4)Jeanne H.
Really good stuff. One of my favorite sushi places on the wank. The Sexy Woman roll is yummy.
(5)Reyna C.
This place has some delicious sushi but the service can be uhhhh sketchy. My favorite roll from here is the cattle roll (filet mignon I think, cream cheese). I like the fact that it has nothing raw in it. Receiving a hot roll is a very unique experience that more people should try. As far as the service, the younger waitresses are amazing but the older waiters are a bit....rough around the edges. Prices are fair for the quality and ambiance that you receive. My friends love getting udon noodles, it's delicious and it's big enough to share!
(4)Sheena T.
Tennou is decent. Their sushi is alright when you are just craving affordable sushi. But I love their niku udon it is tummy warming! I would give more stars if I didn't feel extremely awkward going there; I feel as if im in one of those tacky Chinese buffets where the server always stares at you. One occasion I had dined in and I normally never eat at a restaurant within an hour of closing, so I thought an hour and a half should be alright. Me and my friend ordered swiftly because we were hungry and didn't want to keep the kitchen too long. But we had the most terrible service. Our server basically kicked us out and handed us the check immediately after we received our food. I may be young, but my business is as good as anyone elses, And i believe i am generally generous tipper and order a good amount of food(im not a cheapskate in other words). They closed at ten that day and we were out by nine thirty, which I believe is still early. From this experience on, I have not felt welcome there at all.
(2)Shelby G.
Snow crab roll is the best sushi my boyfriend made me try. He loves the miso soup as well.
(5)Kate N.
Tennou Sushi Restaurant is my go to sushi place in the westbank for quick, easy sushi. It's been an okay place to dine for the last couple of years..not too shabby. But honestly within the last year or so, Tennou definitely dropped the ball. I work down the street so it's always easy for me to call in a to-go order during lunch. I always get the Phoenix Roll, Miso Soup and Coke to go. THe last 3 times I've picked up the Phoenix Roll and took it back to work to eat. THe fish roe on top all had a sour taste to it! It's bad roe! I've never had the opportunity to call them to let them know..But this is a definite NO NO for me! We also dined here with my brother over lunch as well. Usually LOVE the Beef Tataki. But shouldn't beef tataki be flashed Seared and red in the centeR?? NO! It's pretty much a milky brown color throughout! That's SIGN OF BAD MEAT! We quickly told them to take it back. Want another order of the same? UH...NO THANKS SO bad Beef Tataki....sour Fish Roe....cheap on Salmon for the Baked Salmon.... I think that's the last I'll come here...
(1)Wil F.
Popped in for a quick lunch at the sushi bar. Decent sushi, REALLY LOW PRICES ($9 for 3 rolls!) Very friendly staff, to include the sushi chef and waiter.
(4)Jay K.
Food was okay. Got takeout. Ordered sashimi lunch bento set. Couple of snags in terms of service: 1) no soy sauce 2) was missing parts of the bento set as written on the menu
(1)Scott B.
Always great service and food. Great place!
(4)Jessica S.
I moved from Slidell a few months ago and ive been looking for a good sushi place to eat at. Well i went here and i loved it. I got the Crunch roll and the crawfish roll. It was soooooo good and the service was nice. The actual location need a lil pick me up lol So two days later i was craving some sushi so i decided to place a order for pick up. I asked for spicy mayo to go and when i got there i noticed i was charged 1.00 for the spicy mayo. That was the only thing i didnt agree on lol But other then that i like the place....Two thumbs up :)
(4)S M.
Definitely not the best sushi. I ordered the dynamite crunchy roll & the special salmon roll. The salmon wasn't as fresh as it could it be, it was a bit on the mushy side. The roll also didn't have much flavor to it compares to other sushi I've had. The crunchy roll was "just okay," but nothing to buy again. I've definitely has better sushi.
(2)Kelsey P.
Since there aren't many places to go get sushi on the westbank, my family always goes to Tennou. We always love their sushi and prices. It's one of our favorite sushi places!
(5)Misty T.
My go-to for sashimi! I love how thick and fresh their sashimi is. It's wonderful. The hibachi is pretty good too if you want to give that a try. I would come here time and time again for my hunger fix.
(4)Ruiki T.
Was on the West Bank and starving so I decided to stop by this fairly nice looking sushi restaurant right across Target. Order their Tennou Sushi thing and some baked salmon. Both came out stuffed with imitation crab which I should have known better to not try but I did it anyway. I applaud them for the creativity but they probably don't understand the essentials of never serving fish and crab in one dish/bite. The crab kills the taste of the fish which is clever on their part as I thought that was their way to mask the fact that fish was not fresh/flavorful. Baked salmon stuffed crab was ok but still not good enough. Waitress was not friendly at all. Sushi chef was more friendly than her at least. I left a decent tip for both of them tho I didn't think they were worth it Aboard that NOPE train to never come back again :)
(2)Brandon L.
I'm going to be as specific as possible here. Oh, dear, god! Nom, nom, nom. The food is excellent, and the Cowboy Roll...wow. Just...wow. I just don't like the fact that they don't do the hibachi tables during lunch.
(4)Mariposa M.
I have travel a lot and eat sushi all over the world, excellent sushi one of my favorite places
(5)Chareese W.
Got another 2 weeks before I can eat sushi (I'm preggo), but when I can, I'll come back to this spot. For a friend I'm ordering the crawfish roll and gyoza. When I walked in, the hostess was friendly and immediately greeted me. I'm ordering to-go, so I sat at the bar and my order was taken quickly. Within the ten minutes that I've been here, the phone's ringing off the hook. It's lunch time, so people are calling in orders to pick up. The prices are reasonably low. Will come back soon.
(3)Kuang J.
Here is a little insider info. The people that work here are not Japanese. How did I figure this out? Heard the waitress and the sushi chef speaking Cantonese. Personally, I couldn't care less--the sushi here is damn tasty. Ordered a variety of rolls and sushi, and especially enjoyed the scallop sushi and the Tonnou II roll... although cost wise, it is hard to beat the salmon skin roll. The service was excellent. Everything was served together on a nice platter, with beautiful presentation. Fresh drinks were brought out at the right time without prompting. Actually, I think the service might be too good. Our waitress was, from a purely scientific and objective viewpoint, rather adorable. With the result that she has at least one regular who frequents this restaurant to sit at one of her tables, and no it is not me. There was this older gentlemen who was catching up with her before ordering, and had brought her a few "gifts." I did not catch everything he gave her, but I did hear a calculator and cookies mentioned. Four stars for Tennou (deduction for strip mall location and a salmon sushi that failed to impress) but five stars for the gentleman who gifts sushi waitresses with calculators and cookies.
(4)Meghan B.
This place took me by surprise. Went there for lunch at the spur of the moment--(of course looked at yelp and it had some great reviews for the area). Shared the lunch special which was 3 rolls of your choice from the lunch menu. We had the spicy tuna, Philadelphia roll and the crab roll--all of them were great and the prefect size. We sat at the sushi bar and the chiefs gave us complimentary spicy crab salad to start. It was amazing! The best part was all this was under $20.00 for two at lunch.
(4)Harden T.
We recently started coming back here and we're glad that we did! My family and I ate here when they first opened and it was only so-so. Then over the last few years (we've had a few friends work there are waitresses and they asked us to come in) and each time it was a bit different with different Sushi Chef's. Well, we once again decided to stop in and try it out and we were very much surprised. The Sushi and Sashimi was much better than the last few times we've been there, and the service was quite a bit better as well. I also noticed that it wasn't the same Chef's as before. They also had no problems making the rolls the way I wanted (I have severe food allergies) and they came out just right. Definitely one of the better Sushi restaurants on the West Bank. Also, don't let the parking lot being slightly empty fool you. A lot of people in that area seem to either walk or carpool when going out to eat.
(4)Heather S.
Waiters are great!
(4)Laila T.
Too expensive for food that was just okay. The service was less than stellar.
(2)Kim-Thao H.
Tennou is definitely the BEST sushi place on the west bank! I've been coming here for years and am still satisfied with the food as the recession plays out. My boyfriend and I always get the beef tataki bc it is the best we ever tried. They give a generous portion compared to other sushi places and cut it thin the way it should be. It's also seared to the right temperature and the ponzu sauce goes well with it. Other places usually cook it too much and it usually is very bland elsewhere. And I LOVE the onions that go with it. My favorite rolls are the tennou II roll and salmon naruto. The sexiest man alive roll and hawaiian roll are pretty good also. My favorite salad is the tennou special salad (no whitefish and add avocado and cucumber!) Dessert-wise, the tempera cheesecake is THE BEST here. I've tried many other places like sake, rock n sake, etc. and its just not as good. The mango sorbet and red bean ice cream are also very good here! Service is usually good. The only downfall is that they sometimes charge for unnecessary things. For example, the charged me $1.00 to take out whitefish from the tennou special salad which is ridiculous! Other than that, I still love tennou over other sushi places on the westbank!
