Their food is sometimes hit or miss. More hits than misses though. A little pricey, but not that bad. The new location is a nice change of pace.

The food and drinks were excellent , if I could give more stars I would! Paige was my server in the bar and I can honestly say it was the best service I have ever had , she was so bubbly and sweet and when I described what type of drink I wanted she didn't hesitate to suggest the "bayou bell" OMFro! I had three! It was made to perfection, just what the flavor I told her I wanted! For dinner I had the crabcake shrimp Alfredo and that was perfection. I was too full but desert but Paige gave me some delicious options so I couldn't help but to take a slice Togo ! This experience put my faith back into the copelands chain! A+ for food , atmosphere & service !

Nephew taking a long detour, (with a party of 10) en route from Dallas, TX to Destin, FL, to Algiers to see his grandmother. They wanted a good meal before getting back on the road so recommended Copelands in Harvey on Manhatten Blvd. What a huge mistake. The party of 10 was seated and that's it. They sat for over 25 minutes and no one so much as looked at them. They got up and left, tired, hungry, and needing to get on the road. They vowed to eat fast food once they got out of New Orleans. Feel so bad we recommended it. Never again.
They need to really get it together here. Can somebody get a bounty and clean the bar please. I can slide a glass from one end to the other because of the slip and slide crash and burn juice left from the previous guest... I wish I had a midget, I would try it. And wouldn't you know it... They severed me old hard microwaved overcook duck. Who nukes duck???? What the f____!!! I made a rhyme. I'm calling PETA! But seriously I'm mad because I smell like liquor and my time was wasted. The only bright spot in this is that the bartender was nice looking. Tone and I'm out.... And still starving. Damn shame what they did that duck!

Right in the middle of the happy hour crush. .Wasn't what I have come to expect of of a Copeland dining experience. New location for me. The biscuits looked delightful but a cold biscuit lathered in butter wasn't very appealing. .Nevertheless a decent meal for the price

When we dined at this place it has just opened up within the last week, so I would imagine they were still working out kinks. We were seated imeadiatley even though we walked in at 7:30. which was nice. The dining room is huge but segmented, so it really wasn't too noisy. Our service was very good. That being said, I'm pretty sure my drink didn't have any alcohol in it. And for $10, I wasn't planning on paying for sugar and strawberry syrup. My food was decent but only room temp. It was a little over priced for what it was. But I guess this is to be expected with Copeland's. Probably won't be back :(.

New Year's Eve I went to get take out for my significant other. I had crab cake with alfredo pasta and he wanted stuffed shrimp with fries. They forgot the biscuit. The food was cold. My pasta was not alfredo pasta it taste like they boiled some spaghetti and put it in a container with 2 crab cakes on top. No seasoning. The shrimp made my significant other sick to his stomach. By midnight, instead of singing auld lang syne, he was throwing up. I was running to the bathroom with diarrhea. Needless to say, I will not be back anytime soon.

Worst service. Servers more interested in fraternizing with coworkers who came in to dine. Every employee came to their table to hug them and say hello constantly bumping into our chair with no apology. We moved our table back 2 feet and still they are bumping into my chair. Drinks went unfilled until we asked for another. Where is the manager?? And these people want 25% tips? Bartenders hair is so long we are watching it dip into the ice vat every time she made a drink. Oh wait. Here is the manager...coming to talk to the friend and also bumping into my chair with no apology.

This Coppelands just recently open (brand new building and everything). I can say that we loved the food!!! Good size of food for the price. Been there twice already and both times the service was slow, server was a jerk (I'm guessing there was no training what so ever). Server took forever in the day to get our order and the way waited for our food for about 45 mins. The attitude and we were grossed out by the way our server talked to us. "Whatchu you like?" Like seriously is that how you talk to your customers??!!

I ordered dinner online for my boyfriend and I a few weeks ago. When I arrived, it seemed as though my order did not show up in the system; therefore, it was not ready when I arrived. I was definitely a little bit disappointed; however, Malonique, who was working "to-go" was incredibly friendly and apologized for the mix up, and promptly went and got a manager. The manager, Ed, figured out what had happened, and rushed the order to make sure it would be ready as quickly as possible, so I didn't have to wait long. He was also kind enough to comp. my cheese cake, which was greatly appreciated. Malonique and Ed both went above and beyond with excellent customer service to make sure I left the establishment satisfied and happy. I really respect both of them for working hard to display wonderful customer service skills, which can be so difficult to find these days. I was absolutely satisfied with my service as well as my meal; therefore, I would recommend this restaurant and location to anyone.

My friend and I ate here on Monday evening. The food was very good and was served hot and within a reasonable amount of time. It wasn't really hot but good enough. The server was very kind and considerate. The place was crowded true but our waitress was very good. I will be back next time I come from Houston.

Service was sketchy, food wasn't hot, and portions were a lot smaller than expected. I love Copelands but this spot disappointed me. I'll definitely be dining across the river for my Copelands cuisine.

We came solely for drinks and cheesecake. They were out of the peach Bellini which really made me want to just not stay. But we were already here. So I had a bloody instead. It was so spicy I couldn't finish it. The app I ordered was very good but small in size. Took our cheesecake to go. The cheesecake I ordered was not what the server described when I ordered it. The cake on the bottom of the black and white tuxedo was dry and flavorless. Pretty nasty. That's what I get for breaking my chain restaurant rule. Lucky we had a gift card and only paid a few bucks out of pocket.

Feel a need to update my comments from months ago. I have been back several times and much has improved. Service is still a stretch but improved from bad to manageable. The bar has really good service, the lady there is on point. The food is really improved and it is up to Copeland standards that I am accustom to.

We stayed at Comfort Suites right next to Copeland's New Orleans and just wanted to get some quick lunch. Discovered this place is be pretty good restaurant. We ordered crab claws for appetizer. It was surprisingly good, came with garlic breads which pretty darn good too. Service is kind of lacking a little bit since the Decor of the restaurant make you to expect 5 stars restaurant service. Overall, I would recommended.
Went today after church. We called first and asked approx wait but we're told they couldn't give this. We have a toddler and it would've been nice if they said well it's like15 now but filling up. Anyway we took our chances and were seated right away. I had a salad with blackened chicken and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked chicken. My husband had a turkey sandwich that was also very good. The waitress brought out a little fruit plate for our 3 year old before his meal that kept him happy. Our waitress was Yolanda. She was very prompt and courteous. We definitely will be back and hopefully they will one day get call ahead seating.

I always forget there's a newly built Copelands on the Wank. When I finally remembered and dropped in, it was a good experience. Manfriend & I wanted a quick in and out dinner since we were heading to a friend's after. We were seated quickly, greeted quickly, waters were brought out promptly and refilled as needed, & the food didn't take to long after the order was placed. I had the crabmeat ravioli (7.95$) & pecan crusted catfish (7.95$) off of the small plate menu. Both dishes were delicious ! The ravioli came out piping hot! & the fish was so flaky (which was surprising). Manfriend had the crab cake and shrimp Alfredo (16.49$). It lacked seasoning and I wish the crab cakes were more crispy on the outside. Overall, an okay dish. We were in and out within 30-40 minutes with satisfied tummies! I would definitely come back to check out their HH

We eat and drink here often, usually about 4-5 times a month. The reason is that we love the place. Same great staff but now in a great new place. We usually sit in the bar where Kaylin and Paige provide excellent service. Orders are timely taken and customers kept informed on the status of their order. My favorites are the Crash and Burn and the Shrimp & Lump Crabmeat Remoulade Salad with Corn and Crab Bisque. My recommended desert is the Turtle Cheesecake. There so many great menu choices it's hard to go wrong.

I guess while I wait on my second order of food that isn't sitting on a plate that's been rinsed off and set under a hot light I can write this review. Let's start with the good because it'll be short. The new location and decor is amazing. Now. It's lent an it's Friday so I know your busy but. There was no crab in my corn and CRAB bisque, the seafood platter my friend ordered was swimming in grease on her plate (but the waiter was nice enough to bring her extra napkins to drain it off in), and I'll mention again the half assed cleaned plates. Not to mention the manager was never around to voice you're concerns. I guess we shouldn't expect much from Copeland's. Or rather I won't anymore. Ok I'm back. AND there's an elderly guest who has some type of mental illness who's walking around kissing strangers babies and touching diners. Doesn't seem to bother the employees tho. After we made mention of it the hostess seemed to spaced out to understand the concern she should have. Very interesting lunch to say the least.

Really hoping things get better, hate having to leave the westbank for a nice meal. Been a few times and although for the most part the food is good enough to compensate for the slow and inattentive service. Yesterday may have been the final straw for us. Bad enough we had to listen to the bartender drying dishes and clanging the whole stack (isn't that what the kitchen is for?). There was a mom there with her 3 year old that apparently everyone knew (either a friend or employee). So the whole social event was happening from before we were there until right before we finished. 2-3 employees where with her the whole time so the chatter was exceptionally loud. Kid running around, free frozen drinks and left the mess on the floor and table. Bartender talking to her from across the room. Our server stops what she was doing to join the party. Manager was MIA. We just chalked it up to another restaurant on the westbank with a staff that doesn't care that they have a job and a manager that either doesn't care or has no control. This happened 7-2-15 at approximately 4:00, in case anyone from corporate is interested. Well once again, have to spend our money across the river. New location, same situation. You know what they say "You can put makeup on a pig..." Well you know the rest.

Went here with a friend a few nights ago and was impressed with the atmosphere and decor. Total date night location. The problem was the portions of food. Ordered everything to go. Buffalo Spring Rolls: The only redeeming thing I ordered! HUGE portion of these chicken and mozzarella wrapped spring rolls. Came with a blue cheese, buffalo sauce dip. I'd order this again if I ever came back. Red Beans: Delicious, a bit salty (for my taste but I'm pretty sure that someone else would have thought it was perfect) but had a good amount of seasoning. Portion was ok. Crabmeat Ravioli: Probably the item I'm most upset about. This dish is 8 dollars and I only got THREE raviolis. They weren't JUMBO STUFFED neither, they were flat like my wallet was after this meal. Red Velvet Cheesecake: I was totally fooled by the pictures I saw on the menu and on here. It looked like at least half of the cake was red velvet and the other half was cheesecake (if you haven't seen those yet). HOWEVER what I received was a red velvet cake with a sliver of cream cheese on top. Not worth the money. I want to like this place because as I mentioned before it's pretty snazzy, maybe I ordered the wrong things? I hope that's the case. If you wanted to get better bang for your buck and wanted to stay within the Copeland's family you'd be better off going to Cheesecake Bistro.

December 9, 2014 - The family came together to celebrate my brother in-law's birthday luncheon in the Plantation room. I love the new location and the architecture is nice with outdoor seating if your prefer. The food was good however the seafood platter seemed smaller than I remembered but that is ok since we never eat it all anyway. Our server was nice and patient with our large party. My husband and I had our usual Crash and Burn with the fruit beautifully decorated on top. It was a great experience and definitely visit again.

So what attracted me to this particular Copeland's is the amount of cars that is parked every night and for a Wednesday it was ridiculous packed. We wanted to see what all the hype was about and I love pasta! I typically order spinach and artichoke dip and buffalo spring rolls as my appetizers. It was hot and fresh when it arrived our table. Be careful and don't make the mistake on overloading on the fried bow tie pasta. As for entrees, I ordered the stuffed eggplant pasta and my friend got the chicken Alfredo. My friend asked me if my dish was good. I said yeah, I think my dish looks better than yours. He said yeah yeah... in disappointment. Lol The stuffed eggplant pasta came with a generous amount of shrimp and crawfish! Check out the picture if you don't believe! Oh yeah asked for honey to pour on your biscuits! Service is good for being pretty busy. I read other reviews complaining about the wait on food but I'm glad ours wasn't that long. I would say 15 mins on appetizers and extra 15 mins on entrees. Plus, I was seated when I got there which is pretty awesome because I was expecting a wait judging from the parking lot. There's outside seating too but my friend is too bougie for that. Lol

I think they're still working out the kinks at this location. My boyfriend and I come to Copeland's for the Bayou Broccoli (seriously, this is the best thing on the menu!). This particular location is packed every night of the week, even towards closing! Based on a handful of dinners we've had here, I've concluded the following: You will wait an hour or more for your food to arrive. You will have to stack your empty water glasses along the edge of the table and finally become desperate enough to flag down a server (ANY server) to refill your glass. You will not be impressed with the night waitstaff, not because they are poor servers, but because they have entirely too many tables and the kitchen is obviously backed up. Lunch is a lot better. The staff is not as busy/overwhelmed. The restaurant is a lot quieter (though still busy!), and you can actually hear the music playing over the hum of socializing patrons. The food at this location is not as great as the other locations we've been to. I'm not sure why this is, since (to my knowledge) the foods aren't made from scratch... I'm not in love with this location yet, but I will continue to come here while they figure out how to improve the quality of their service and food.

I heard about this place from a person who lived her a while back. The food was good. You will want to try the bow ties with spinach and artichoke dip. I think that is one of their signature appetizers. I had the fish of the day which was sea bream. Really tasty. The roasted cauliflower with Parmesan sounds amazing but when actually received was a little lacking in flavor The corn macque chox was delish and would recommend that side if looking for a regional speciality! Good spot to go to if on this side of town

What can I say? I often visited the old Copeland's location on Lapalco Blvd. without too much of a problem. However, the service at the new location astonished me! Of course, I walked into the new restaurant prepared for rude service due to previous reviews. I wasn't expecting it mind too much because I'm very tolerant when it comes to awful customer service. Upon entering, a group of worker were gossiping near the hostess's desk. They all just stared at me and my party until I had to ask if someone could get us seated. They didn't proceed to do so until someone, who is presume is the manager, walked by. Being seated and waiting for my food was a mess. Orders weren't put in, waiting time was horrendous, and waitress didn't check up on us. After getting my food, I wanted to togo it and go home; the waitress never gave us our boxes. The manager saw us sitting and gratefully gave it to us. We payed and left. On a different note, the new place is gorgeous. It resembles a modern plantation/house and the decor makes you feel very much at home. There is a bakery upon entering, something the old location did not have, and it makes the restaurant smell lovely. I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, strawberry lemonade, jambalaya pasta, and strawberry cheesecake. The spinach and artichoke dip come with battered and fried bowtie pastas; they make a great combination. The strawberry lemonade was very tart, but that can be expected. I believe it's just lemonade with strawberry syrup. The jambalaya pasta is unique and full of flavor; I can't find something like it anywhere else! The strawberry cheesecake is what will always get me coming back. Their crust does contain nuts (something the waitress did not inform my sister who told her she was extremely allergic). By the way, the lunch entrees are very small! My sister ordered the chicken alfredo, which does come with a brownie (she didn't eat because nuts), bread, and salad. Although upset she was not told the small portion, both her and my dad were pretty full afterwards, so I guess it was filling. Food was great. Service was bad. The only friendly smile I honestly saw was the manager's. It's a shame to see such a lovely place have horrible reviews due to staff. I hope that problem gets fixed immediately!

They have this manager named Tasha there and she is so rude.. She talks to customers disrespectful and she is not very classy for a Copelands restaurant.. First when I walked in she mistaken me for someone else that has walked out on there bill before and called the bartender in the middle of my drink to ask her..I then had a problem with my bill that I usual do not have at other Copelands she was very disrespectful and her approach was terrible.. The food was ok and drinks were just ok.. This review is not about me having a mix up on the bill but about the service from the beginning of my meal to the end.

I've been here a few times at the new location! Each time The food was delicious! I always get the spin dip! It's always good! The crab claws are also good. I tried the crab cake Alfredo Yums. To me the food Is much better compared to the old location. Since this location is new and cleaner and gives you a different vibe. I always avoided the old location because it was just old and food sucked since they love the microwave.... The dessert case is amazing btw! And I love turtle cheese cake and banana fosters! The service can either be really good or mediocre..... One server I had twice, particularly seems to be out of it or just forget stuff at times. He was mostly slow.....

Nice place, nice grown and sexy atmosphere but the food is terrible!!! I ordered the spinach dip with the fried bowtie pasta as an appetizer. The pasta was over fried but the dip had a great flavor. Our waiter was nice but very slow and he wouldn't speak up so we could hear him so the communication with him sucked. As a main dish I had the fried shrimp with a side of the loaded macaroni.. DISGUSTING to the moon and back! Mac and cheese was greasy and hardly loaded. The fried shrimp tasted weird and my fries were cold. I would never come back here again!!!

If anyone from Copelands reads this I think it's pretty clear there is an issue with your staff. I came here twice and both times there were two or three people at the front desk talking. After 3 mins I asked one of them for assistance and she said the Hostess would seat us ... Hostess showed up shortly after. I just found it weird that I had to approach them and if I had not said anything they would have continued their conversation and left me and my family there stand for who knows how long. My fiancée ordered a cajun pasta thing and I ordered shrimp pasta with crab cakes. The sausage was overcooked and tasteless and the chicken was indistinguishable from the pasta. On my plate the crab cakes tasted like they came from a microwave. Just not very good. 60+ dollars later we left. We walked past a minimum of 5 employees standing near the exit and again despite the stares they continued their convos and said nothing to us. You may ask then why did you come back the second time ? and it's simple..the wings we ordered as an appetizer were pretty good. So the second time I came just for those for myself.. And I walked in to the exact same scene. Two people at the front desk not a single one asked me if I needed anything . I finally said firmly " picking up !" They both said "wha?" Again I said a bit louder " PICKING UP!" They said over there by the bathroom. I stood by the bathroom until finally someone asked if I was picking up as good as the wings were I won't be back . New Orleans has soo much more to offer and at a cheaper price than this. News flash ladies ! Know one is there to see you talk. People come because they are hungry. They want respectable and polite service. You look silly ignoring customers that pay your salary with their business.

I tend to avoid chain restaurants but this Copeland's on the West Bank is probably the best restaurant on the West Bank. The décor is great with several separate dining rooms, a decent size bar and an outdoor dining area that is nicely decorated. Eating outside on a nice day makes you forget you're on Manhattan Blvd. It's like a Cheesecake factory with desserts displayed at the front for diners to choose later or to take out. Everything here so far has been great. The chicken avocado salad was great. The biscuits are amazing. Service was prompt and attentive. Will definitely be back!

This is the best place I've found in this area! The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. Worth every penny.

I forgot to mention that the restaurant made an attempt to rectify the situation by offering to create the entire experience over, unfortunately, I don't live in New Orleans. But at least they tried.

Nice place! I love the stuffed mushrooms! Don't get the crabcakes though, it's mostly bread then crab!

Food was really good... Service was very slow... We waited about 10 min to receive the check after we requested it!!!! Would have 4 stars if service would have been better.

Ahhh, Copelands..they are always packed so I don't eat here much but when I do I am never disappointed! I usually get the crab claws with fries bow-tie pasta! Very good meal, something different to try!(:
