I love Cracker Barrel. I recommend the chicken fried chicken or steak, Mac n cheese and dumplings. I have never eaten breakfast here but my husband loves it. Every time we go camping a Jellystone park we stop here on the way. They have camper parking in the back of the restaurant which is great for me and a big plus in my book.

I stop here on the way back home from Baton Rogue. My waitress was friendly and very helpful explaining to me how to order since it was my first time there. The free biscuit and corn bread were ok. I enjoy the biscuit, but thought their corn bread was VERY dry. I had to drink a lot of water to wash it down. I order the steak which was cooked to my liking. The sides were ok. Nothing special about it, but it did have the home-made taste which was fine by me. My sister order the country fried steak. She said it was one of the best she had along with the corn. For the amount of food they give you the price is very reasonable. It's actually cheap, but I'm not complaining, lol. I will definitely stop here again if I'm in the mood for a home cook meal for a reasonable price.

This is my first time ever trying Crocker barrel. I have heard really good things. So far I enjoy the southern country home feel. Walking in there was a country like store that had trinkets, souvenirs, and clothing. I spotted this very lovely peat coat that I adored. I enjoyed my waitress, and food except the pancakes. Only BC I'm a "commercial" pancake (Denny's//iHop). But the eggs, bacon & eggs were delicious

Dirtiest kitchen I have seen in a restaurant. The wait staff is admittedly bitchy and demanding. I asked to speak with a manager and they treated me like I was costing them twice as much as I was spending! On top of that the country fried steak I ordered came to me with no less than 5 curly red hairs. I would warn people to not be fooled by this restaurant.

Typical Cracker Barrel. After a hectic weekend in Natchez we stopped here in Hammond on our way home to NOLA. We needed good southern comfort food/hangover remedies and a pit stop for my little one. The staff was super friendly. The hostess was very sweet. The waitress was an absolute doll, I didn't catch her name, but she was delightful. The food, eh...typical cracker barrel food. I had the hamburger steak smothered with gravy and onions, greens and mashed potatoes. My friend had chicken and dumplings, fried okra and baby carrots. Everything needed a little salt, my hamburger was overcooked, but overall it's as good as we expected it to be. It was also a great stop with a baby in tow. All the staff are very welcoming and accommodating of babies and kids. *Women's restroom has a changing table, and restrooms are clean so good all around interstate pit stop for those with small children needing to get out of the car.

Wait time for Table. Est by Hostess 15 minutes. Actual 20 minutes. Wait time for server 10 minutes after seating. Order: Coffee with milk, 2 blueberry pancakes, 4 scrambled eggs with a little bit of colby cheese, and a side order of bacon (extra crispy) Wait time for order... almost an hour??? I'll give it to Cracker Barrel they usually serve good food and they are usually packed to the gills. This one seemed to be no different. The wait for the table was understandable. Lots of people. The wait for the server... Different story. Where were the servers. I could see a few busy with other tables, but not nearly enough for the number of tables in the restaurant. Perhaps its just me. I spent the time perusing the menu. The blueberry pancakes looked good but I had a question. When the waitress did show up she asked me if I was ready to order. Not just yet, but I would like a cup of coffee with milk. She returned with coffee and the pre-packaged creamer which I hate, so I asked her if I could get some milk for my coffee... I couldn't believe that I had to explain to her M I L K like from a cow!!! So I placed my order and waited, and waited, and waited. The waitress came by about twenty minutes after I ordered to see if I needed anything. "how about some food?" Long story short. The manager ended up getting involved and it still took another twenty minutes for my food to come out. The pancakes were excellent. The eggs tasted rubbery. The cheese was just a slab in the middle. I had expected it to be grated. The bacon. Well they never did manage to get the bacon extra crispy... There are better places to eat breakfast in Hammond than the Cracker Barrel.
