Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Never had a bad experience here. One of the best restaurants in Hammond (and there are a bunch of restaurants in Hammond.) Outdoor seating is covered for rain and has heating for cold months, so is an option all year round. If you are a Futbol fan, you can always find a game on the TV. Fajitas and Mahi-Mahi dinner are very good (my faves.) Margaritas are big and tasty.

We Eat here all the time. Great food - great service. I highly recommended a family dinner out night

Mrs. R. and I ate here on June 6, 2009, led here purely on how it looks and the name "Adobe;" man we can be shallow! Luckily we were rewarded for our sense of adventure and found this to be a cool kinda funky fun place. It seemed family-friendly and the food was bueno. We'd hit it again!

Lunch. Had the adobe special on the lunch menu. Also had ice tea. Bill was $11 bucks. Kind of steep for lunch. You can actually share these meals. Lots of food. I would go back.

If you eat here dine in. They can barely speak the language although they have been here for a while. Trying to order via phone is impossible unless you get a waitress. The food is not as good as La Carreta. Thinking it was more convenient I compromised and order from here IF a waitress answers. They do give you a lot of food but I do think $17.something is rather steep for nachos (with ground meat etc) and guacomole is a bit steep. Picked up the order and tipped the waitress. Got home to find she hadn't put the nachos in the bag. I called to tell them and she was only too kind to say we could come back and get them. Upon arriving talked to the manager/(owner?) who must think he is still in Juarez. Not only was there no compensation or apology from anyone. With the receipt in hand the sleazy little man had the gall to accuse us of trying to pull a fast one. To top it off they got the order wrong!! NOTHING conenient about this place.

I've been to Adobe several times over the years, and I think it is a great alternative to La Carreta's, where it is always hard to parking. They have very similar menus and the quality of the food is the same. So some of the things I love about Adobe, in a list of recommendations: * Margarita swirled with Sangria (love this. The sangria cuts the citrus of the margarita well) * Chili Relleno (one of my go-to dishes) * Duck Quesadilla (just tried these. Very good, though I was surprised they were fried like samosas.) * Queso dip (white cheese, delicious!)

I have only been to Hammond on business trips This is one of the places I have to go each time I visit. Margaritas, quesadillas, and carnitas anything always good food.

We used to eat here every Friday night, but we only come here occasionally now because service has gotten worse, portion sizes smaller, and prices higher on everything. Also a huge turnover in wait staff. Food tonight was okay, nothing outstanding. Shortly after I typed this my son threw up his entire meal. He hasn't been sick, and we can't even remember the last time he threw up - we believe it was something in his food. Thankfully they did take his meal off our check.

We went here after an event on Friday night. I called ahead because they are usually packed. I'm guessing high school football probably left them with a smaller crowd. We arrived and were immediately seated. The service was a little slow, but the manager checked on us several times. We got the Fajitas for 2. My only complaint about that is the meat is not cut when it comes to the table. I had to cut the steak and chicken which gets kind of tricky with a baby sitting between you.

Ever since this changed hands a few years back, it's no good. We ate here weekly before the new owner. Now, it's just like the others in town. Nothing special and too costly for what you get.
