This place is difficult to find but once you do the food is good. My mom and I went for the lunch buffet and everything was delicious!

Great food. Extremely slow service. I've been on two Saturdays. Once for lunch and once for breakfast. The food took over an hour to come out. But it was delicious. I believe they do a buffet now which should speed things up.

Went there on our last trip last year place was very good and crowded. This year food wasn't that great, place was empty. Microwaved good although the Beignets were very good. We asked for straws they Didn't have them, we asked for Coffee they were out. The entire time The waitress was ranting and raving How blessed she was and she found Jesus. She just kept on and on. Don't think we will oh back on out next trip

Food is ok. Every time we go there, they're out of what we want. We stopped going after the third time we went for donuts and they were out. Ordered chicken and dumplings as a lunch specials and they used two biscuits as dumplings and the only seasoning that was used was pepper. Haven't been back.

Great handmade burgers! Had the sweet potato fries, a little soggy but tasted good. Nice little diner type atmosphere.

These are the reviews I hate writing. I hate writing bad reviews for small businesses with seemingly nice people. I almost wanted to just forget about it and pretend it never happened.....BUT it is my Yelping duty to give my honest opinion. That Elite badge is an honorable thing so by gosh I will do my duty!!!! Ok so the girlfriend and I were looking for something on the lighter side on our way back from Baton Rouge after spending the day before being chow hounds and eating terribly. She searched for salads and such on Yelp and this place came up so we got off the I-10 and followed to App to The Crossroads. No Robert Johnson did not sell his soul to learn to play guitar here and Eric Clapton isn't singing about this place in his remake of that great song. We sit down for a Sunday lunch and there are a few tables with families obviously getting done with church service. Kids were screaming and acting terrible while the parents basically ignored them. Do parents parent anymore? My kids were great in restaurants when they were little. I want to take my belt off and beat the parents ass for letting these little heathens terrorize the place. But anyway maybe I'm just becoming a grouchy old bastard since my kids are now older. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and the girlfriend got a cobb salad. We waited for what seemed a long time considering they didn't need to cook anything really. When I got my salad it looked really good. It appeared to have a decent amount of chicken until I realized 3/4th of that were croutons. There had to be less than 2 ozs of chichen on this thing. To top it off the croutons were soggy. Yuck. I looked at my girlfriend's and she had an ample amount of avocadewws on her salad. Yes I said avocadewws because avocado's are green, avocadewws are shit brown. I don't know how they could serve that and not be embarrassed. I saw the table next to me get a burger and those looked great. Their menu had a half pork sausage half beef burger that sounded yummy too. I think we just got the wrong thing to eat but if they have salads on the menu and are charging 10+ dollars each, they should be better than what they were.

Off the beaten path for sure, but worth the trouble of finding. The menu has plenty of Louisiana home-style specialties along with coffees, salads, soups, sandwiches and baked goods. The burgers are big and fries are homemade and delicious. They also have a pork burger made with beef and pork which is tasty if you like sausage. For veggie lovers they offer a hot pressed, grilled vegetable poboy with Muenster-cheese. It is a bit pricey for veggies at 9.00, the same price as a shrimp poboy. My grilled chicken croissant was just mediocre so I would not order this again. The lunch menu is somewhat limited but they do offer daily lunch specials. With offerings like meatloaf, pork and rice & gravy balls it is a place to visit if you like mamma's cooking style. They now offer a buffet but I am not a fan of buffets so I'll have to pass on reviewing. I'm always too late to try their breakfast menu, which is quite extensive. They do offer shrimp and grits yay! I do wonder why more restaurants do not offer this popular dish. The croissants and bakery items are offered through out the day so I did try a few of those and they were tasty. The building was converted from a house to a restaurant so it is a bit odd, but there is ample parking around back and two handicap spaces up front with a ramp to the front door. They also have a drive thru for pick up orders. .

I hope they have figured out how to make a proper espresso drink. A large sized iced latte should never contain only one shot and then 12 oz or more or milk. That is more like coffee milk. They had a wide variety of syrups, but no idea how to combine the three items (espresso, milk, and syrup) into a decent iced latte. I had to explain it, and then it still took nearly 10 to 15 minutes to make. And the price was then exorbitant, because I was charged per shot. Would have been far easier to go to Starbucks. I like to try locally owned coffee shops, but I am hesistant to try it again. On the other hand, the baked goods were exceptional (the one thing I tried). I am hoping that those employees were new hires, and by now have mastered the espresso machine.

Stopped by for coffee and a doughnut after finding this Cafe. It was later in the morning so they were transitioning into lunch service and their lunch menu choices were diverse and sounded good. I will have to come back to try them for lunch. The coffee and doughnut.......they were good.....had no complaints but hard to get a feel for the Cafe's quality off a coffee and doughnut. Once I try their full breakfast or lunch, I will review again. They certainly have potential....worth the visit.

I've only been on Saturdays. First time was for lunch. My burger was GREAT! You can tell the patties are made right there by hand. Mom had a Philly cheese steak, which was far from traditional, but still very good. I'm not much of a sweets person, but mom and daughter had cupcakes and went on and on about them. Went today for brunch. The shrimp n grits were delicious and the portion size was more than I could eat (and I'm 6'4", 275lbs). I'll definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu. My only regret is that I can't make it there for the daily lunch specials during the week. I've been told its the best lunch around for both GOOD food, and the amount you get for relatively cheap.

I've ordered 5-6 things from here for breakfast and lunch and everything has been great!! One problem is the long wait for food. Because of this, I'd only eat there if I were in no rush.

It doesn't look like much from the front, but don't be fooled. My partner and I went there for Sat brunch. Very family friendly; looks of people with kids. I had the seafood omelette and he had pork chops and eggs. Both were delicious. Everything is cooked fresh, so be prepared for 15-20 min wait for food after ordering. Trust me, it's worth the wait.

For the lunch service, we had the burgers. They are homemade and served with fries. I'd suggest their burgers to anyone! We had a nice time. We went for the breakfast service and had the shrimp and grits! Delicious! I enjoyed every bite of them! The waitresses were overwhelmed and we had two different waitresses waiting on us. They were rushing everywhere and one even slipped and fell which made the whole restaurant silent. She was ok thankfully, but the waitresses were definitely overwhelmed which made it awkward.

Had heard good things. Quickly disappointed. Waited for 10 minutes to be served the water and soda we had ordered. Burgers and fries took over 40 minutes to arrive at our table. Taste was good, then found 2 different hairs in my burger. Service staff was very inattentive, never even refilled drinks, in a hour plus time frame.
