If you're working at Fort Polk (you'll need a CAC or Military ID to enter the base) and want something beyond the continental fare of your per diem rated hotel this is your best bet as most of the other greasy spoons in Leesville appear to be closed as of April 2015. Food is decent, think Waffle House. Staff is friendly. I had three eggs, bacon, hash browns, biscuits, coffee and a waffle for $12 out the door. Manage your expectations accordingly.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! If you get the wrong waitress you're screwed. The first time in it was busy and had great service. The last two times I had the same horrible waitress and even though it wasn't busy at all she didn't do her job at all. Literally took 20 mins to take our order and the only time I got a refill on our drinks was when I carried them to the counter and got it myself. Food is good, even though the order is bound to be wrong.

Not a bad quick place to go get a bite. The service was fast, courteous and the BBQ Bacon hamburger that I got was cooked through and tasted pretty good.

Cross contaminating all over the place. I watched their cook touch raw meat then touch ready to eat food. I normally wouldn't judge the actions of one person for the whole business, but it just shows they don't stress food safety at this restaraunt.

Only ok if you're broke, starving and dressed like a bum!

Friendly service plus food is pretty good for decent prices. Their waffle is smaller and thinner than Belgian waffles but it's super yummy. I don't know what it is about it but it's good, it's a "must" try if you're ever near a Huddle House! First time there I had hash brown, eggs, bacon, and a waffle, ate it all. Second time, seeing that i was staying at the Holiday Express across the street, I walked over and had their classic club sandwich with fries, surprising delish, though it was just with ham. Third time, I had the same as the first except with strawberries on the waffle and an Oreo milkshake. The waffle was topped so much stawberries, they sure didn't skimp on it, so it was amazing. The waitress got us to try their oreo milkshake saying that it was instagram worthy, lol, but in reality it was really good, wasn't too sweet, actually it was the beat oreo shake I've had. The only negative thing I have to say is their hash browns are a little hard but overall, I liked my experience there.
