Jimbo's is an excellent stop if you're in the mood for good hometown food. My husband and I ate exclusively off the specials menu, and everything was excellent. The Cajun Bo burger special came with tater tots...the burger itself had great heat from the cayenne and jalapenos. It left my mouth with a pleasant burn for quite a while after eating it, but it was never painfully hot. The fried catfish is some of the best I've ever had...the fish was thick cut and well battered. The batter was crunchy and delicious. The hushpuppies were good as well, with a strong but pleasing onion flavor. The Mac-n-chz wedges were excellent as well, and tasted just as if someone had taken a fresh batch of Kraft macaroni and cheese and somehow wrapped it in fried batter. I was expecting the mac n cheese to be a bit stale tasting, but it tasted perfect, fresh and hot and right out of the pan. Lots of fried stuff here, if that's what you're into. Not a lot of healthy options here, but you probably know that walking in the door. They do what they do, and they do it extremely well. The printed menu to the left of the counter is huge, and they have daily specials listed on the whiteboard behind the counter.
