Lunch was very good, the batter on the shrimp and oysters was too heavy according to my husband but I thought my po'boy had great flavor. Service was good too. I would definitely come back.

It was delicious! My dad's fried catfish was the most light, flaky and delicious I've ever had!

Twist, Pull, and then Suck! That's how I was taught to eat boiled Crawfish at Camile's by a group of local South LA hosts who knew that they were talking about. My round metal plate contained 4 Pounds of Crawfish, and I'm sure I left a lot of meat on the plate. Yet, I achieved the desired results - a spicy tingling on my lips and lots of watering around my eyes. Camile's looks plain from the outside and has been around for a long while as a local road house type of place. Once inside, the atmosphere was neighborhood casual, the food was excellent, and the service was down home friendly, And when you consider how business trip experiences too often meld together in the sameness of indistinguishable hotel rooms and after-work restaurants, Camile's was an honest and authentic breath of fresh air.

I've never felt the need to write an online review about any restaurant, seeing as I've been in the service industry for many years I can relate to staff members, HOWEVER, the experience we had here was beyond ridiculous. I honestly do not understand how they can continue to operate as a business. Seeing as you only have a couple tables in the restaurant to begin with yet your swamped and the first thing you say to your table, who is literally going to help pay your bills, is that we need to be quiet is BEYOND me. After we FINALLY received drinks and appetizers, we have NO silverware, which we had to get up to get, and they have us plastic cutlery. I ended up eating my croutons with my hands. We left shortly after we witnessed tables eating food we were told they were out of and tables seated after us eating there entrees. Uhh, just NO. I wanted to leave ZERO stars but had to put something, 1 star is far more than they deserve.

Don't judge a book by its cover. It's nice inside and good Cajun cooking. The food was a wonderful surprise. Very good

A friend who lives near Camile's reported a recent visit to me; she said "the place is nasty, I'd hate to see the kitchen". She said she'll never go back again.
