Awesome food.... citrus grilled Mahi Mahi with chimichuri sauce is spectacular!! The shrimp and burgers are also great! Indulge in the frosty monkey love, it's sure to please.

I loved it. Great atmosphere! Good music! Had citrus sale and it was perfect. Lots of things on the menu I want to try out!

The service was quick and courteous! The food was amazing. The sweet potato fries were made from real sweet potatoes and not that processed crap. We stumbled upon this place traveling from Charlotte to Houston. It was a great find and if we are ever back this way again, I'd be happy to stop in and try something else from the menu!

A decent option in my northshore rotation. Although there are many better options on the northshore. This placed is owned by a company that owns a chain of daiquiri shops and since day one they've set Jerk's up to operate as a chain. As another review mentioned the place just feels like a chain however this is their first and only location. Food is very chain-ish with a few unique options. One pro is that they hired the people behind Zea's/Semolina's to design much (or all) of the men-u so some of things are tasty.

This is a Caribbean-themed restaurant. But they don't always stick to the theme. The strawberry daiquiri comes in a tall, footed glass with Redi-whip and a cherry on top. This makes no sense, and is not how daiquiris are normally served. That said, the daiquiri is obviously made with at least some real strawberries, as strawberry seeds were evident. However, the small number of strawberry seeds, the drink's flavor, and the color make me think that they "boost" their daiquiri a bit with a mix. I had the Caribbean chicken salad. The salad plate came chilled, which is good. It also came with a big cutting knife to cut the chicken. This is a fine addition, and one that I wish more restaurants would make. But it confused me because a big cutting knife came in my napkin with the rest of my silverware. I've been here before and I'll go back again, and not just to get away from the half dozen or so uninspired chain restaurants in the area.

I went here today for lunch and I didn't expect much. Im not too trusting of beach themed bars/restaurants at strip malls over looking busy streets no where near a beach. I was pleasantly surprised. I had a cayman comfort cocktail which was nice if overpriced. For lunch I had the chicken jerk burger with peppered sweet potato fries. The burger was good but the fries were almost sexual. Not enough to embarras myself but very certainly the best sweet potato fries I've tasted since moving to Louisiana. The waiter was attentive even though he was responsible for running the bar and serving tables. I will go back!

This place puts deals on Living Social or GroupOn, so I've bought a couple of the deals. The first because I had heard good things, so I bought the deal and went to use it. The food was okay, it had qualities that made it good and unique, but I left the experience underwhelmed. Then about 6 or 8 months later, they appeared again on a deal site, so I bit again. I figured maybe they've gotten their sea legs and the food will be better so I bought two lunch deals. The second time was like the first, it was okay, but there are so many other places to eat that going here is really not that great. There's a Five Guys and Panera close by, not to mention several other eateries in the area. The fish tacos were decent, but like my wife said, they smelled fishy. There are better fish tacos to be had on the northshore. The last time we went, we also had a pork wrap. That was good, but the flavor seemed like they were trying too hard. Overall, it's just an underwhelming place. I have another deal coupon, and we'll use it before it expires, but I don't think I'll buy another one.

A warning to all my road warrior friends! I will share everywhere! My Brother recently went here, traveled from MN so his wife could have surgery. First they will not honor their website coupons unless they are printed. Who the heck travels with a printer??? If you require they are printed provide an eprinter. Secondly, the Waiter kept saying" not with owners daughter here" to our requests. The night before they took the coupon by me showing my phone. They also would not split a 16 oz drink into 2 drinks tonight. They did that for us yesterday. Owners daughter is the problem according to waiter. It will be my mission to share this horrible customer service by the management with everyone I can. Starting with my fellow road warriors who put on 100k miles a year..... The waiter was awesome, owner's daughter has no business being in the service industry.

Happened upon this place during a roadtrip and wanted to find whatever was open that wasnt fast food. Think of it as a cute, clean take on tourist-y Carribean island life--as if someone gathered all the souvenirs from the islands they could and displayed them in a restaurant. Came in on a Wednesday night around 8:30 and the restaurant was pretty empty. It's a cozy-sized dining room with tables and booths, as well as a bar area. We were greeted right away brought our drinks. After a few minutes, we ordered the 5 island layered dip appetizers, which has bits of jerk chicken, beans, salsa, cheese, and sour cream. Comes with a brown bag full of seasoned chips. Pretty good, but heavy on the beans and skimpy on the chicken. Huge portion, so only get it if you're going to share. Maybe ask for some extra chips too. My boyfriend ordered the chicken roti (a wrap) with a wheat tortilla that had some guac and other stuff in it and also got some sweet potato fries. The fries were wedges that were the right amount of crispy, but only came with a handful. I had the hurricane shrimp plate, which came with 8 pieces of shrimp on skewers lather in chimichurri (sp?) sauce. The sauce is great, but order it on the side if you're turned off by bright green foods. The plate came with rice and beans mixed together, some fried plantains, and a side of veggies. Everything was great, and a good portion as well. Not disgustingly huge. The bill came to $30 for the two entrees and appetizers. May sound a bit pricy, but it's probably because of the shrimp. Attentive service, clean, spacious. Plenty of TVs to watch games on. The bathrooms stall doors are quite interesting, I'm sure you'll find out if you go there.

We had Caribbean jerk chicken wings for the appetizer and it was good. My husband had a burger it tasted good as well because the bun was toasted and delish. I called prior to going because I don't like frozen burgers. I enjoy fresh hamburger meat and the hostess said that the meat is freshly ground in the restaurant. I had the chicken salad and the chicken was well seasoned (slightly spicy). I liked the jerk seasoning. I should have asked for dressing on the side but it was good. The server didnt ask us or tell us about dessert which is waitress 101. I enjoyed our experience and will go back.

The sweet potato fries and calypso ketchup are awesome. The rib appetizer is also good. Love the banana daiquiris too.

first off the place looks nice.. drove pass it many times finally stopped.. I got the cheese burger..which the patties are preformed and tasteless.. mcdonalds has a better tasting angus patty.. the bun is dry and boring.. guess im used to Phil's burger... my fries were cold.. after our food was dropped off we never saw our waitress agian.. i ran out of ketchup and when she saw me i pointed to it.. 5 mins later someone else gave us a new bottle..even the check was dropped off by someone else... my wife got the chicken blt.. it was not bad... but was over seasoned.. This place feels like a chain restaurant but it not.. I think i should of went for the tacos.. they looked so good on other peoples plate... i just might try this place one more time and try the tacos..

They make their own sauces....the atmosphere is nice. My favorite thing was the coconut shrimp. Will return.

I did go back for the mahi tacos and fries. I've decided to tell them to keep the fries next time so I will have enough room for the 3rd taco. I haven't had a fish taco yet that I've liked more...

Food good, tasty, hot, and fresh. Ordered tacos- recommended by a friend. However, serving size very small and I am not a particularly big eater. Was hungry well before time for my next meal.

The food is average, our waitress was incredibly rude.

Really good food, though the wait staff is really not that good. Get the island stack and the bbq cheeseburger, both great choices. Stay away from their fruit flavored teas, they're quite nasty.

We ate here for dinner, and I was impressed. I was with my wife and our 2-year-old son. The service was polite & friendly. The place is a little small, but comfortable (not too small). We both ordered wraps (me chicken and pulled pork for the wife) and our little guy got the kids chicken & cheese quesadilla (which comes with a side of smiley face fries...I thought that was a nice touch). The food came out FAST. I mean, less than 10 minutes after we ordered, we had our food in front of us. Granted, it was around 6 p.m. and the place was about 1/4 full, but still, it was fast. The food was good too! My wrap was jerk chicken, cut into cubes with fresh cucumber chunks & some other veggies cut up & mixed in as well as a good sauce. The jerk seasoning was good too...not too spicy, but it did have that "kick" that jerk seasoning is known for. The wraps come with fries (regular or sweet potato...we both got sweet potato). They were good as well. My only complaint would be that the thicker fries were slightly undercooked. We didn't have anything from the bar, but there were about 6 or 7 daiquiri machines spinning behind the bar. Overall, I'm sold and we'll definitely go back again. (Update)...we went back again about 2 weeks ago. I got the Jerk Burger. It was good, but VERY overpriced. I think it's $10.95 + tax. I've had a better burger at Ground Pati or even Lee's across the street. Also, the smiley face fries for our son's kids meal were over cooked/fried. The service was still good though. I'm downgrading from 4 stars to 3.
