My boyfriend and I used a Groupon here that gave us two nights. We loved it. We got the Tall Pines Suite; a beautiful large room with a garden tub. The mattress was kind of firm, but overall very comfortable. Unfortunately, the remote to the tv didn't work very well and there was no stand-up shower. There is a nozzle in the tub, but it makes washing hair fairly difficult. Also, a dinner party was being held near the rooms one night and it was kind of loud. The restroom closest to the upstairs dinner hall is also very close to the rooms making a lot of foot traffic near our suite. But by nine the dinner was over and peace was restored. We also ate at the restaurant downstairs which was delicious. I had the Chicken Lafeyette and it was very tasty. I had the creme brulee which was also very good. A previous comment about the bread pudding was correct. I do not recommend it. Breakfast was a typical southern one (grits, french toast, eggs, bacon) and also very good. Overall, we had a great weekend, we probably won't be in the area again, but it was quite lovely.

My friends highly recommend this place and one even had her wedding here and was completely satisfied. However, at a recent holiday luncheon (7 of us) I was very disappointed. The food was okay but not fabulous (bbq shrimp "New Orleans" style was some admittedly many and very good large shrimp but the sauce was like rosemary gravy and not so much "traditional" and the bread pudding was so dense it was like a dry brick.) But the service was unacceptable. We were there for 2 hours and 25 minutes! It was the kitchen's fault but the waiters were all about 16 years old and didn't know better to get our food out. There seemed to be a large and boisterous party upstairs, but the dining room was not that full... So, Caveat Emptor or whatever.

I can only speak for the Sunday Brunch. Highly recommended for the food and service. We have attended brunch several times with both large and small parties and never had an unpleasant experience. Any food you choose will be delicious, though I have learned that turtle soup is a little bold for my taste. If you happen to like turtle soup, their's is probably one of the best.

Just stayed here with my boyfriend for our anniversary. We had a Groupon and I'm glad we did it! We stayed in the Cypress Grove suite which had doors leading onto a beautiful balcony with a table, couch, and chairs. Great view of the woods and creek. We enjoyed a bottle of wine, mimosas, and coffee on this balcony in the less than 24 hours we stayed in the room. We also enjoyed the large tub and took advantage with a luxurious bubble bath. The bed was sooo comfy! BUT be prepared for the rooster that hangs out on the premises to start your morning at 6:00 AM! We dined at the restaurant for dinner and Easter brunch. The brunch was good, but overrated and overpriced. The dinner was wonderful! Denise was our server and she made the experience truly spectacular. I highly recommend a romantic getaway to this B&B! Ask for Denise if you want friendly and knowledgable service!

Stayed here for two nights, first let me say the staff is attentive and friendly, the room was clean, parking is close by and area is safe, air conditioning excellent, the down side is that the room offered a continental breakfast which included packaged orange juice, packaged muffins and Yoplait yogurt, now for a B&B with the prices they charge wouldn't you think you would get a fresh muffin, possibly home made or from a local bakery and not the 7-11, the OJ in a nice decanter, and a nice presentation of yogurt with fruit. the room was ok but the tv was a 1970's 25 inch tv, the place did have nice patios to relax on and read, so mixed review but for the price I give it a two I can't comment on the restaurant, this is the B&B review

Went here for a rehearsal dinner and had the crab cakes, panéed veal with spaghetti, and a few other things. The crab cakes were really good; I don't eat them normally because I'm allergic and also don't really like the taste of seafood, but these were solid. I was so full that by the time I got to the pasta, I could barely fit anymore. However, from the little I had, it was pretty mediocre. Almost like the food that you get served at dinner theater. Aside from that, the space is very pretty and seems like it'd be even nicer during the daytime, and the staff is wonderful. My only complaint is that the driveway is as dark as satan's b-hole and the parking area is barely lit.

Trying to review Annadele's as a B&B and not as a restaurant: Yelp! Seems not very accommodating for family travelers (2+) just passing through (esp. Sat.): $50 for a blow-up bed added to a room seems a bit much; also if you want to leave before brunch on a Sun. you do not get breakfast. May still eat there; we'll see .... .

This was a lovely place to have the bridal brunch that I went to on Sunday. It is a quaint little white plantation home tucked back in an area of Covington that I wouldn't have expected. The staff was extremely pleasant and attentive. It seems like it would be a nice place for a ladies' tea, as I saw several rooms that could be for smaller private events. The food was well presented and nice portions (not too big to call "generous", but filling) and the chicken and sausage gumbo was excellent, as was the broccoli au gratin. I also go the red fish special and was disappointed to see that it was lightly battered and didn't have a ton of flavor. Lastly, the grounds look very nice. It seems like they have enough private places outdoors to have a nice intimate wedding.

Just finished eating at Annadele's plantation. We didn't have reservations but the fit us in anyway and the food and drinks were excellent. Service was right on. Will definitely go again.

This place really needs to step up their game. Even with the 50% savings from loving social I still felt somewhat ripped off. The room is large and spacious with a pretty comfy bed and that is where the good ends. Bright red EXIT sign over a fire escape door right in the middle of the external wall in the bedroom was glowing brightly all night... Rediculous. The jacuzzi tub was quite grimy and dirty with all sorts of particles floating in it when it was first filled. The coffee maker filter basket had black sludge all over the bottom of it. The included "gourmet breakfast" mentioned on the website was a pack of blueberry muffins from the local gas station, two plastic bottles of tropicana orange juice, two cups of yoplait yogurt, and two apples. I'm not entirely sure when the definition of gourmet changed but wow.

We celebrated Easter Brunch here. The food was filled with flavor and everything was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was festive and elegant.

We had a wonderful "early Mother's Day" dinner at Annadele's Plantation. Although the venue can be a challenge to find (hang a hard left at the Popeye's on 190 and look for the sign to turn right on Chestnutt street), upon arrival, we were treated to a charming, southern setting to enjoy our meal. Our server, Mark, was very pleasant, friendly and attentive and despite what appeared to be a busy night (full dining room and a 7pm wedding), the service was smooth. The previous reviews about the savory cheesecake appetizer are spot on....it is a MUST (and if you are more than a party of two, order two...TRUST me on this...this is some seriously tasty stuff!). This unique creation of the Chef features layers of various flavors and textures, when combined together create a WOW in the palate. Make sure that you have beacoup bread ready (hot french bread will be served upon arrival) to mop up the sensational sauce (there were a few friendly fights over the last drops on our plate...). The surf and turf entree was a yummy combination of steak, grilled shrimp and a crabcake with some creamy mashed taters and asparagus....all cooked perfectly with flavor to match. Another favorite was the fresh, tender and flaky redfish dish, topped with a delightful combo of crabmeat and shrimp, all sauted in a buttery, garlic blend. Divine! Us chocoholics wolfed down a light as air mousse and a sinful flourless chocolate torte that was floating atop a pool of heavenly chocolate sauce (aka "chocolate soup" as per the menu), with a few walnuts swimming alongside. We made this "a la mode" with a scoop of bluebell vanilla ice cream which helped morph this tasty treat into an upscale brownie sundae. We waddled out of the restaurant with full, albeit happy bellies, looking forward to a return visit to this hidden gem (is it too early for a super-early Father's Day celebration???). Kudos to the chef, who is no doubt a gifted cook, and to the staff for delivering true southern hospitality and charm.

Dinner here was outstanding. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant evening. Dessert was to die for. Save room.

We were in town 2 nights and wanted to go out for a nice meal. We looked this place up on our phone and it looked good. I would say the meal I had ranked up in the top ten meals I've ever had. I started with the savory seafood cheesecake. Sounds heavy, but no, it was very light and the flavored were amazing! The waitress called it the "oh my God" appetizer , and she was right, those were the first words out of my mouth! The entre was equally flavorful. Beautiful setting, wonderful food! The waitress was very knowledgable but a tad too chatty, hence the 4 stars.

We went here for a belated mother's day lunch and they had just changed the lunch menu from a full menu to a "lighter" soups, sandwiches and salads menu. Initially we were disappointed but then we got the food and I have to say: everything was phenomenally good. Weirdly good. I had a ponchatoula strawberry salad with vanilla vinaigrette and fried oysters that blew my mind. Soup was a surprisingly spicy french onion soup that was a table favorite. Standard gumbo was great, and the pulled pork sandwich with amazing, though impossible to eat without a knife and fork it was so juicy. Creme brulee for dessert was traditional and super yum. Whatever they're serving, I think their chef knows his stuff. Our waitress was new but very friendly and attentive, I had no service issues. It's worth the drive.

Great place got a quiet meal. It's a bed and breakfast as well. Service can be up and down, but food is good and the environment is quiet and homey. Prices are not bad for the Covington/Mandeville area. Good for old fogies, Sunday brunch or romantic dinners.
