Love this place! Wish it was closer to LSU! Was a bit concerned when we walked in and were the only ones there but, the food was great & the server was very attentive. Vietnamese coffee was strong; pho was steaming, fragrant, & tasty; and spring rolls were fresh and the perfect beginning to the meal. My son found a new favorite with the pork chop plate with egg. Simple, fresh, and reasonably priced. & Free Internet to boot...

Had a group party here and it turned out great! The establishment is very clean and the customer service for the most part is above satisfactory. I wish they had Vietnamese Sandwiches, but I'll get over it. Loved their fried rice and egg rolls - couldn't get enough! A big added plus is the self-served frozen yogurt with the usual toppings of fresh fruit, candy pieces, sprinkles, etc. There is no better way to beat the heat than with a refreshing cup of frozen yogurt? Nothing like lunch and dessert all in the same place. We definitely be back, and perhaps even for another party.

The porkchops. OMG. You've never had a porkchop like this and you WILL be addicted. Thank me later.

I'm debating between 2 and 3 stars. The pho was fine. After noticing that our table was without soy sauce like the other tables, I requested some. The guy who was waiting on our table, told me that I wasn't supposed to use soy sauce in my pho and that I should be using hoisin. Guess what? I don't like the sweetness of hoisin! I could have been asking for it for others in my party. I just thought it was rude. The food was fine. Nothing bad, nothing great. I can go elsewhere and get better service. The place is pretty.

Great pho every time I have eaten there. The employees are always friendly and there is frozen yogurt for dessert. This is a winning combo every time. If there is better pho in Baton Rouge, I have yet to find it.

Love this place! Super friendly staff and the food is great! Fresh and light so I never leave feeling greasy or heavy! The spring rolls are my favorite! Can't go wrong with any of the choices! Love the rice and the noodles! I've never had the rice crepes or rice vermicelli but if it's as good as their pho or rice dishes, you won't be disappointed! My typical order here is the pho tai nam and the goi cuon hep nuong. I've yet to be disappointed!

Awesome food, great service, delicious froyo! I'm so glad Baton Rouge has this place when I come in town.

I eat here all the time. Never would have thought so before I tried it, but the great combo of Pho and frozen yogurt is perfect! Family business that I like supporting. Oh and the iced coffee is awesome. We call it "The Kitten's Milk".

Another great option for Viet food in the city. The grilled meats are so tasty. Pho is spot on and so is their bun no hue. I also recommend their vermicelli bowl. Wish they serve banh mi.
(5)Christina N.
Clean restaurant, friendly staff, fast service, and tables for large lunch groups. Everything I have tried so far has been delicious, except for the Cookies and Cream frozen yogurt. You can ask for a custom bowl of pho - for example, no noodles and more meat for those watching their carbs.

I love this place so much. I live very close to it so it is easy to get to, the manager and the people who work there are really nice, and the frozen yogurt and food are sooooo good and set at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend to someone looking for something with quality to eat and at a low price.

Great place. Wonderfully nice staff, clean and beautiful environment, quick service, and amazing pho! I had a nice little chat about where I work as a chef while I waited for my food. Very friendly people. I have yet to try the frozen yogurt but I will be back for more.

I thought the concept of pho yo was exciting and even emailed a picture of the restaurant sign to a friend before entering. Service lagged. I have had better pho in Baton Rouge and the yogurt was average. More attentive wait staff might have made returning for a second try worthwhile. Maybe I should have managed my expectations going into the place.

Large portions but heavy on the price. My family of 4 absolutely loved that we could get Yogurtland quality make your own yogurt in the same place as we got delicious Vietnamese cuisine! Nice, clean atmosphere with good service too. Only reason I gave it a 4 was because I expected lunch prices, but they only have the one menu so it seemed a little high. Would definitely return though!

One of my absolute favorite! The food is fresh and always delicious! I love atmosphere and the yogurt is just fabulous! I never had Vietnamese food before eating here but since have tried other places. This is still my favorite because the seasonings and dishes are not too over spiced and can be fixed to taste with the always available sauces.

Discovered this while on a Sunday drive. Great Frozen yogurt. Super clean. I will be coming back next week to try lunch!
(5)Taren D.
Best pho in Baton Rouge! I also love the vermicelli dishes as well...especially the grilled pork. I haven't had a bad experience yet and I've been at least 10 times...and counting.
(5)Lisa S.
The meatball pho is excellent. The broth is perfect & the meatballs are dense. Our server was very attentive without being overbearing & greeted return customers like they were old friends. We will be back here often.

Got the #18. To much salt. Nice place. Server was nice. Just to salty for me. I'll give this place another try soon. I'd like to try the frozen yogurt.

What an amazing place. Went for dinner with my 2 children from the moment we arrived we felt welcome. At no point were we lacking anything and food was amazing. I had rare beef round pho, daughter had chicken pho and my son had beef friend rice. All of the dishes were perfectly cooked and ready very promptly. The kids had frozen yogurt which they loved! We will definitely be back.

I definitely thought this place was great. The soup was tasty and so were the spring rolls. I really could have guzzled the soup broth. I wish that more places would offer a choice of noodles, and this restaurant is no exception. I'm more of an egg noodle kind of guy. The service was attentive and friendly. I finished off my dinner with a cup of frozen yogurt. This was quite satisfying as well. It's easy to go overboard on the toppings. They allow samples, so that is an added bonus.

OMG What took me so long to get here? I guess it was the name--very misleading.. Seeing how I'm not a big fan of fro yo, I wasn't going to step into some place called Dream Berrie with a pic of fro yo on the sign! But the husband was struck by a craving for pho last weekend, what with the weather being so cold and rainy. So I found myself here. Only two people were dining on a Saturday night, and so I kept my expectations low. But I needn't have worried so much. The first thing that I liked, and other reviewers have noted this, this place is really spacious and clean. You can sit where you want. and the service is pretty quick and efficient. The husband ordered some steamed pork dumplings with dipping sauce as appetizer. Delicious! I think I devoured three dumplings in two bites! Next, he got the pho which came with the usual assortment veggies and meat in flavorful broth. He also got a small side of meatballs in soup. I managed to steal a spoonful from his bowl when he wasn't looking, and it was goooood! I got the combo noodles which came with seafood, pork, chicken and veggies and soft noodles. yum yum! I added the sa te sauce which spiced up things considerably--just the way I wanted! While we were eating, people started trickling in. For dessert, we just hopped over to the other side of the restaurant and got ourselves some fro yo with toppings. I left with a box of leftovers which I had for lunch the next day. Will be back soon!

For a new Vietnamese option, try this place. You won't be disappointed. My husband got pho, which he loved, and I got grilled shrimp and chicken. Both were fantastic. For dessert, you have to try their frozen yogurt. It's very nice, with a couple of unique toppings that I had not seen before. I'll be a repeat visitor, for sure.

Frozen yogurt tasted like custard. Something was off about the taste. 45 cents an ounce.

Good food great service...great lunch spot
(4)Sammy T.
I live a bit away from this place, but whenever I want some pho I make the trip up here. The Food is great, service is great, and it's fast. There's have several items on their menu that are really good. You wouldn't think so by looking at the place. Kind of funny that you have Pho and yogurt ice cream all in the same place, but the food is still good.

Super yummy!!!! My friends and i stopped here for lunch , best decision ever!! The chicken fried rice is Amazing! !!!! Great service

Frozen yogurt is a big deal in our house. My oldest daughter is crazy about it, and my youngest daughter is shaping up to be the same. That being said we pride ourselves on finding the best places for enjoying frozen yogurt and all the goodies that go with it. So, enter Dream Berrie Cafe, a lovely place for that frozen treat. I really like going here. It is never overcrowded, but there are always people there...diners and people getting carry-out. It has always been a fun place for us to go. Since we started getting yogurt there, our daughters and my wife have made it clear that they also enjoy the fine Vietnamese cooking as well, so another plus. This last time we patronized Dream Berrie was slightly different. Normally, the service is great, friendly, and fast. However, this time our server did not meet our expectations. This gentleman seemed very distracted and did not seem to have much of a since of urgency about his job. We asked for sugar and lemons for our water, which we had to ask for a couple of times. Eventually I went to get sugar myself. He did not seem knowledgeable of some of the menu items when we questioned him, almost as if he didn't care about our questions. Even though the service left a sour taste, luckily the food has never. We will return.

My wife and I usually end up getting combination pho or the combination vermicelli at a Vietnamese restaurant. My wife had read somewhere about Bun Bo Hue and we also saw it on an TV show and thought it looked awesome. She did some research and found Dream Berrie Cafe was being recommended as one of the best Bun Bo Hue in Baton Rouge. My wife didn't care too much for the blood cake but I really enjoyed it. We both thought the broth was very good and tasteful to the last drop. The waitress was really great and very attentive. We definitely recommend this place

Delicious food and friendly staff! My husband and I went there today for the first time. He had the pho and I had the rice crepes with grilled pork. Both were delicious! We will be coming back to try more dishes soon for sure!

I'm surprised I've never written a review for this place? So cute, so friendly, great food. I love how they have self serve fro-yo and a full restaurant. Great place to bring kids :)
(5)Gabriel A.
Oh my, this place is legit. I love their noodles and their egg rolls with the peanut sause. I was going there quite often a little while back to have meetings with a client. It was our little regular spot for a meeting and a treat. First the entree then desert, yummy yummy yogurt. Hey you get two for one, good meal good desert. Go enjoy!
(5)Greg M.
Decent pho in a clean setting, with friendly service. This may be the best Vietnamese in Baton Rouge, but I've had better in Lafayette and New Orleans. Didn't try the frozen yogurt, because.... well, who has frozen yogurt with pho?
(3)Caroline H.
Delicious pho and some of the best service in town! Chris has a great thing going here!

"Vietnamese Food & Fro-yo (frozen yogurt)... together in one beautiful spot". Don't just go here for the self-serve yogurt...although it is an added extra!! Go here for the food!! It is truly wonderful!! The only thing I wish they would add to their menu are the Vietnamese sandwiches/po-boys and bubble tea!! The customer service is suberb and the food delicious and tasty!! Thank you for being such a nice, clean establishment, too!! More restaurants need to get tips from your cleanliness!! It a beautifully inviting restaurant, with bright colors, LSU colors, self-serve fro-yo and a delightful staff, this place is a gem! Bring your group of family and/or friends because the place is enormous! I have had many of their dishes here including appetizer favorites: spring rolls, fried egg rolls and potstickers and they have been perfectly cooked. I do not like overly greasy foods, so this place is just right up my alley, when I am craving Vietnamese cuisine. Looking for low-carb and gluten-free options? Many of the dishes here fall in that category! I particularly like the beef salad with a soy-infused dressing. If you are a "pho"-natic, like me, this places will be right up your alley! They have some excellent pho bowls that are larger than life! * pho * spring rolls * egg rolls * Vietnamese food * gluten-free * low-carb * rice dishes * noodle dishes * frozen yogurt *

This place is soo good! The noodles are awesome! Ive eaten here lots of times and will keep coming back. The portions are huge and can def.be shared. The Pho,noodles and soup are the best I ve ever had.The yogurt is good too. They have Lichee and Mango as toppings! The employees are also very nice.

I love this place! I never know what I'm ordering when I go but the staff is so nice, friendly, and helpful!

We finally gave this place a try and it was....A-OK. Nothing to write home about, I'm quite sure the menu was toned down a little bit to accommodate the western palates. Bun Bo Hue (Today's Special) - The most important component in any Vietnamese soup is the broth. Whether it's Pho, Bun Bo Hue, Bun Rieu, or Hu Tieu, each soup has their own unique and distinctive flavor and taste. And for Bun Bo Hue that distinctive flavor has to be spicy w/ a hint of shrimp paste, and an aroma only lemongrass can bring that soup to life. There was some flavor but not a whole lot dancing in my mouth....."Elvis has left the building y'all!" They did however, had "blood cake" in their Bun Bo Hue. Well, I'll be damned......how ya like that Andrew Zimmern? Let me see now, the blood cake was earthy, minerally, and irony......Who in the hell talks like that?! - (3.5 Stars) Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong - (4 Stars) ...the eggroll was spot on, and the grilled pork and shrimp were well seasoned. Shrimp Fried Rice - Ooooh do I have a bone to pick w/ you!!! WTF were you thinking when y'all came up w/ this concoction?! Whatever happened to PRESENTATION and TASTE? Better spike that chef's coffee w/ some Red Bull or 5-Hour Energy drink 'cause that crap tasted worse than PF Chang's TV dinner.... That stuff is UNFIT for human consumption! PLEASE take that off the menu before it becomes a Weapon of Mass Destruction! - (Negative 1 Star)

Decent vietnamese food in Baton Rouge? Thank the lawd! I spent a couple years in New Orleans, which has a fair sized Vietnamese community, so I was eager to check out Dream Berrie Cafe when I heard about. The interior is a little jarring. Actually the whole thing is jarring because it's a Vietnamese......./yogurt place? Clearly they took the yogurt stores' route in terms of decor. It's very sparse and clean looking. My food has been reasonably good. Not spectacular though. The service has been spotty but not too awful. They usually mean well at least. I usually get pho. I would say it meets my expectations concerning flavor. I also must say the serving was large enough that I took about half home. Going by my dining mate's responses, some of their food seems a bit toned down in terms of flavor. The prices are fair. But this is a vietnamese place in freaking sherwood forest so how much can I expect? Surprisingly I tried their yogurt too, which was the real disappointment. Such bland flavors. I really hope they plan to rotate them. Probably the most unique one was some jolly rancher/gummy bear one(forgot the name), but it tasted sickening sweet. I wish they would have dropped this and focused on food but half the people in there were purely getting yogurt so I guess it was a smart business call. Anyway, I say this is really a 3.5 but I applaud any cuisine risks so good for them.

Good home-made Pho soup. A little gem hidden away by an American name. Worth a trip to try the noodle soup, you will definitely enjoy it!

I just found out about this place and was excited to try it. A vietnamese place that isn't on the other side of town from me? Awesome. The first thing I thought when I walked in was that it was very big and well lit. When we walked in the waiter seated us. Whoever picked the chairs here must have never sat in them because they were horribly uncomfortable. When I looked at the menu, the place earned a strike. They don't offer tripe or tendon in their pho. I ended up ordering the Pho Dac Biet. The service was quick and the pho was decent. I had read in a review on here that it was toned down a bit for western tastes and I have to agree with that. That being said, I would come back again.
(3)Hung N.
This is my go to place for vietnamese food. Spring rolls are good but overpriced. The Pho is inconsistant (sometimes really good, sometimes average but never bad like some places on Florida). Pho Ga(chicken) is usually really good. Bun thit nuong (vermicelli noodles) and Com suon/thit nuong (rice dishes) are excellent, whether you get grilled chicken, grilled pork, grilled beef, grilled shrimp or grilled pork chop on rice. Everything grilled have always been excellent and well marinated. I usually just go for one of the variations of these 2 dishes.
(4)Brennon C.
Best pho I've had in BR! They put twice the amount of meat and twice the amount of side dressings! The atmosphere is upbeat and after you finish your pho, you can make your own frozen yogurt dish! There are about 4-5 Tv's in there also, which you don't see much in many Japanese/Vietnamese restaurants
(5)Megan H.
Love the Pho and spring rolls.
