I wanted a quick protein snack and chose to go with 2 strips and the Cilantro Lime sauce. I usually have the tacos and they are good. But the strips without all the dressing up the tacos provide are just so so. The Cilantro Lime sauce tasted OK, but that bit of creaminess was missing today. I still like the tacos and will go back for the tacos.

I wish that instead of fussing with dessert and tacos they'd add a few different varieties of fried seafood. Even just some shrimp would be great. In reply to Tyler: Yes, we've been several times and it's pretty tasty! My husband suggests it fairly often but since I prefer shrimp we usually end up going someplace else. If y'all had shrimp we'd probably be there once a week!

Y'all!! Imagine a Cane's type restaurant but with fish instead of chicken. I was reluctant to try a fried fish joint during bikini season but, oh lawd- the fish tacos are slammin'!!! The soft shells aren't too thick (a common complaint I have of tacos) and they envelope warm, crispy fish strips topped with fresh shredded slaw and a Canes like sauce. The bees knees, y'all!!

Not only was this some of the best fried catfish I've ever had, but the staff was super friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Just got around to trying Crispy Catch because, you know, it's new. Just like everybody else said, this place is Cane's, but with seafood. You have a choice of 4 whole combos. I went with the fish tacos. My combo came with 3 little fish tacos a single hushpuppy. The tacos were pretty good, a different take on the popular California street food. And the hushpuppy was, well, a deep fried ball of cornmeal. I don't really know what I was expecting, probably not a whole lot. So I guess it was a little better than whatever expectations I had. I wish there was a little bit more fish on my fish tacos and maybe another side. Besides that this place is alright.

I really enjoyed this place. The girl who took my order was so sweet and the food was great! Will definitely be back

Big big fan of this place! Of course I love fried catfish anyway unless it's too greasy. This is not too greasy and it's not too dry. It's just perfect! The seasoning is delicious and the sauces are awesome! They have lots of other yummy items on the menu as well, like the corn bobbers! It's a cute family run place and it's very clean! Also they have a great patio for sitting outside on beautiful days! And of course it's in such an adorable part of town! Also, Here's a tip: be sure not to miss taco Tuesdays when they add an extra taco to your menu so you end up getting four instead of three! It's a great place not to be missed

Crispy Catch packs a crunch! I have had their delicious fish strips on numerous occasions and have had pretty much everything on their menu. The short, simple menu makes for easy decision-making at the order counter. Taco Tuesday is great because, you get an additional fish taco added to the line-up, which = 4 tacos (instead of 3). This is a fast and casual dining restaurant; grab n' go or eat-in n' run. Their fish is catfish. See, I am not a fan of catfish; never have been and promised myself I never would be. Broken promises happen though. Crispy Catch has completely turned that around for me. They have truly masked the flavor of the catfish and I applaud them for that! The crunch, the seasoning and those sauces; this is my go-to place, when I am craving fried fish! It won't break the bank and you will get high-quality fried catfish strips or fried catfish tacos, corn bobbers (hushpuppies), skinny fries and excellent customer service. This is a family-run business and you will get service with a smile and even feel like family by the time you are ready to leave. Feel free to call-in your order; there are parking spaces for take-out orders. If you want to eat, there are parking spaces around the restaurant and in the back area directly under the overpass. I love what the Perkins overpass has turned into. It's bustling with delicious restaurants and creative eats! Keep on goin' Baton Rouge!

Okay so let's say Raising Cane's had a baby with Parrain's.....the result would be Crispy Catch. Swap out the chicken fingers for deliciously crispy fried catfish with a side of fries, hush puppies, and boudin balls and you're in CHEAT DAY HEAVEN. Got it?? Definitely worth a try, and I'll be back for sure. Don't even get me started on the sauce.......(^_^)nom nom. Yummo!!!

Awesome! Fresh delicious fish, boudin balls, corn nuggets and fries. They kept the menu clean and simple. The desserts are unique and delicious. Try the chocolate graham cracker! Plenty of seating indoors and out. Great for big groups too. Yum!

Some people have compared this to the Raising Canes of seafood, which is somewhat accurate because they provide only 4 different combos, one of them basically being the Canes Box with catfish instead of chicken. The included sauce could pass for Canes sauce to the point of infringement, and even the fish is battered and cooked more like chicken than anything else. So, since variety doesn't really apply here, and the restaurant is brand new and has no reason to be dirty/run down yet, the only thing to really criticize is the fish. It's good, but if you prefer salty, flavorful, cornmeal-battered fish strips like most places in Louisiana have, you might be disappointed. The batter isn't extremely flavorful and is thicker and crunchy, very much like Church's chicken. This makes the fish seem a little mushy in contrast to the batter, but it's acceptable. The "corn bobbers" side items are pretty much hush puppies and the thin fries are superior to Canes (which resemble basic Ore-Ida frozen fries in my opinion). The tacos are the best option here because the accompanying cole slaw brings things more together and makes the mushiness of the fish less noticeable. The cilantro dipping sauce is pretty much Canes sauce with cilantro, which is really an amazing thing if you think about it. Since I don't eat pork, I haven't tried the boudin poppers, but if you've ever had fried boudin balls, they look to fill that need well. If you need a fried fish fix under $10, or you don't eat chicken and still want to fat out with your Canes friends, this place is worth it. But if you're a fried catfish purist, you might have a better (and more expensive) time at Bistro Byronz.

I have been twice in the past couple of weeks. Both times I got the catfish taco combo and both times I was very happy with my order. I like my food to have some extra kick, so I used the hot sauce that was provided. The catfish, like the name of the place implies, was nice and crispy. The corn poppers were tasty, too. I also tried their fries. I am not a fan of them. They are shoestring fries and have very little taste. So, if you want good fries, go somewhere else. Overall, a nice place to get a quick bite.

I appreciate you responding. I had the boudain bites as well with the cole slaw. No worries i'll be stopping in again soon now that im back in town.

Eerily similar to Raising Cane's only they serve fish instead of chicken. With a name like "Crispy Catch", I do wish the fish were a little more on the crispy side, but it was otherwise good.

Another visit for lunch here. Just as good as before. Great day for sitting on the patio. Brought along some co-workers who were impressed as well.

Think Raising Cane's except with fish instead of chicken. Simple menu of four choices, two of which being varying quantities of catfish strips, fries, coleslaw and corn bobbers (hush puppies), the other two being a fish taco (which I haven't tried yet) and a surf 'n turf meal with boudin balls included. I got option one: 1/4 lbs of catfish strips, fries, cole slaw, corn bobbers, sauce and a beverage - this is the larger portion. One of the owners happened to be working the register on my first visit and he and I had a pleasant conversation in which he excitedly told me how he tested several different cuts and cooking techniques of catfish in order to find one that is easy to eat and delicious without being too 'fishy' tasting. They made a good choice. Long thin strips of catfish that are easy to hold and the perfect size for dipping in the container of sauce that comes with every meal. I can dig it, do one thing and do it well. You can either dine in like I did or get your order to go - they even take call-ins. It's a place you can take the kids, brightly colored walls and very clean. I should note how clean this place smells. On my first visit I chalked it up to newness but months later, they're either using great cleaning products or are just doing a meticulous job of keeping this place spotless and smelling super clean. There's also an outdoor seating area with a television and they can cater for parties or large events. I don't eat a lot of fried food but when I do have a hankering for it, this place will be number one on my list.

Extraordinary service for a fast food joint! The staff greets you helps you make a choice and even recommends their special blueberry lemonade. Once the order is placed no need to stand around, grab a seat the staff comes to you with your order and will even grab other things you may need. My personal favorite menu option are the fish tacos. The cilantro sauce is the perfect addition to the crispy seasoned fish. The relaxed atmosphere makes it perfect for a casual family outing. My son loves the reel sauce and boudon balls. Very authentic louisiana food without being too spicy.

I'm gonna go ahead and leave this review while it's still crispy in my head. Good stuff. I got the #1 combo that came with fish, fries, slaw and hushpuppies. The fish was indeed crispy. The pieces were very thin (likely to preserve the crisp) but they gave ample portions so I wasn't looking for more after I finished. The slaw was tasty and the hushpuppies didn't leave me melan-collie. Lot's and lots of thin fries. I found that they were a little over cooked. Maybe to maintain the crispy theme, but I prefer mine a little less browned. I checked out some other plates and all the fries looked to be the same shade, so either it's their thing...or fry-o-later guy was slippin. Either way, I enjoyed my meal and will try the tacos the next time I go. Oh, the staff was very friendly and the environment was clean. +1

I am so happy to update my review to 5 stars. I returned to find the fish recipe updated and really nice, flavorful, fresh and CRISPY ! I was really impressed by the management and how they really seemed to respond to criticism and reviews posted. When I brought up my dream for the place to be a drive thru so I could pick up dinner for my family without getting out of the car after work, they seemed happy to listen and told me to stay tuned. I've got my eye on this place and will be back again and again !

I enjoyed everything I tried and will be back this Friday! Stay tuned for more! Well, I went back on Friday and had the fish box. I enjoyed the coke slaw, and I'm a person who refused to eat it for a good portion of my life! It was sweet, creamy, and had a nice crunch. I also really enjoyed the corn bobbers and tartar sauce. It goes without saying that the fish was fantastic! Also, you must get the sweet tea with your meal. It finishes everything superbly!

Updating, bumping up a star. Visited again for lunch on a Sunday. The family unanimously agreed that the fish was crispier than last time, and that alone made it a good bit better. Not sure if I noticed any flavor tweaks-- if so, they were very subtle-- but the crispness helped more than I would have expected it to. Everyone enjoyed it more than the first visit, and we will visit again. I can't get enough of the corn bobbers and boudin poppers. Minor gripe--and this is just personal preference, not really a problem that needs addressing-- the slaw is a bit soupier than I like it, although the flavor is good.

Really good!! I'm not a big fish eater, BUT I devoured this food! It was seasones to perfection and the sauce was AMAZING! The restaurant was very clean. I will definitely be going back!

It's pretty good but I've definitely had better fried catfish. We had the catfish platter, boudin balls, tacos. The catfish batter was on the bland side and could have been more seasoned.
