If you are looking for a gyro, this is your place. The best gyro I have had, I'll be returning many times. I look forward to trying other dishes.

This place is awesome! Food is delicious and tastes really fresh. I order to-go here regularly and dined in recently, the quality is always great and I've yet to be disappointed. My favorite is the Gyros Plate. Just writing this review makes me hungry! And don't forget to check out the store while you're there... lots of select foods, fresh veggies and hookah supplies.

First time here tonight. Everyone was delicious. The gyro meat was perfectly seasoned. The hummus was flavorful. They are also very nice, I will tell more people about this place. My best friend told me to go here, his friend is food critic for the times picayune and said this place is superb. If a food critic says so, then you best believe.

Fresh food and friendly faces. The price is great along with the quality. My favorite falafel in town.

Very very good middle-eastern cuisine. Excellent falafels, turkish salad (hard to explain, just damn good, on fried eggplant or pita bread), baba ganuj, and all the different lamb dishes. ALSO, try the Lebanese tea (iced) and dessert esp. the

Great middle eastern food not far from NOLA. I love the gyro sandwich. The dinner plates including lamb kabob, felafel, and hummus are all great! I recommend this spot.

The food was delicious going back to this place for sure. The staff are super nice and caring. A warm welcoming place , I love the selection of tobacco for the hookahs. The food was amazing!! So fresh and flavorful! We had the chicken shwarma beef gyro, and combo kebab plate. All were delicious. The hummus was fantastic. As were the homemade fig cookies. We will be back again!!

Wonderful Middle Eastern food, worth the trip! Great Middle Eastern grocery as well, all authentic. Fresh meat to take home too.

Just about the best food I've ever eaten. Friendly family owned and run; this hole in the wall has great food and some exotic groceries. We ate there twice in our 3 day visit to the area. The dessert maker just won 2nd place in a state wide contest. Nummy.

The only reason why I ever venture into Chalmette! Great food, friendly staff and well priced. Only thing is that they are a bit slow bringing out the food so when you go make sure you are not in a rush. Try the mint lemonade it's amazing!

The food was delicious! My husband and I just discovered this restaurant, thanks to yelp. We ordered a variety of things to try and everything was amazing! Everything was perfectly seasoned. We found our new favorite spot. We ordered the Stella Maris special (appetizer), #9 beef shawarma and the chicken kabob.

One of those "hole in the wall" delicacies that locals keep referring too. The atmosphere is rather interesting being that it's restaurant seating area is fused with the grocery shopping section. So ideally a customer could go grocery shopping while watching you eat. Two televisions play on mute in each corner as you listen to a rather interesting genre of music. There appears to be an official seating area that's much more appealing to the eye but appeared to be in use for overflowing crowds. I had #35. Shish Tawoo Plate. If you like Chicken, then GET THIS PLATE! Better than #33. Chicken Kabab Plate. You heard it here from the mouth of the goat. The establishment has some reasonably priced dishes as well which is a plus! Great for quick get togethers or quick lunch. :)

Called to ensure they'd be open when we arrived. They said they would be. Arrive before their stated closing hours. Lights on, but closed. Two stars for bad service.

By far the best Mediterrainean restaurant in New Orleans. Best gyro sandwich I've ever had anywhere on the planet. I'm not exaggerating. I travel a lot, and a gyro sandwich is reliably delicious anywhere you go. Theirs is BY FAR the best, most delicious gyro i've EVER had in my 41 years on earth. The falafel is also crazy delicious. Not only does it taste infinitely better, it's super cheap. Do yourself a favor and try it. You'll be glad you did.

Very difficult to find green falafel, but they have it. And, it is delicious! Best I've had. The owners are Palestinian. They make a signature fresh mint lemonade that is quite refreshing. The chicken tikka tasted pretty good. The chicken Sharma didn't taste anything like a chicken Schworm her that I'm used to eating when I travel in the middle least particularly Jordan. The service was excellent. Ghadeer, our server, was very nice and helpful. The desert, kenaf a, is fresh made fresh homemade. However, I thought it needed more cheese layer and phyllo layer was soggy, rather than lightly crispy and a little over drenched in the Rose syrup. There was a hookah lounge next door that was connected to the restaurant. The ventilation must've been pretty good because we didn't smell the smoke in the restaurant. However, I didn't like how the main entry was through the restaurant so anyone who entered the hookah lounge had to walk in the dining area.

Maybe the best middle eastern place in the city! Prices are great, service was nice, the place is really clean, and the grocery is decent albeit small. They even have legs of lamb for sale and bones all of which are packaged cleanly and looked fresh. The shawarma sandwich I had was the best I've had in New Orleans - super flavorful and great sauces. This is definitely a must see if you're in Arabi!

The best falafel I've had in the city. Easily trumps other, more popular Uptown joints. Absolutely worth the trip to Chalmette. Try Chicken Tekka, kebabs, and don't miss the homemade pistachio baklava!!
