Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Nice little jewel tucked on Texas in a little strip mall. Wonderful wood fired pizza. I got the Mediterranean and a side salad and hubby made his own and had a salad. Enough for lunch and to take home for one more meal. We will be back. $30 for two pizzas drinks and salads which feeds us twice...sweet !

Excellent Pizza! You simply can not beat a Brick Oven pizza. I was really impressed with the entire experience. Garret Perkins was very helpful explaining the menu and ordering process, and the staff was great too. If you haven't tried Wildwood Pizza, you should give this place a try, you'll be glad you did.

Delicious handmade pizzas. Their Mediterranean pizza is really good. More to come when I'm on PC

There are literally ZERO pizza places in Louisiana....with the exception of this one. Wildwood not only brings pizza to CENLA, but a real place to eat out in Alexandria. The wood oven pizza is artistic and delicious. I've eaten almost every single one of their signature pizzas. The Mediterranean and the Firehouse chicken are my two favorites. I have yet to create my own pizza...but why would I...? Also, they have excellent salads that are fresh...something else Louisiana needs more of.

Nice little place tucked in a strip mall. Almost drove past it. We happened to visit on the restaurant's anniversary. So, we were greeted as soon as we came in the door with cupcakes and t-shirts. I had a grilled chicken salad. My friend had a Hawaiian style pizza. She said hers was very good. I felt my salad was just ok. Not bad. Not much flavor, especially for the price. My lunch salad and iced tea was over $11. I do appreciate the friendliness of the staff and that they were happy to take make my salad without pecans (allergy).

Ok- Neat concept to build your own Pizza but found it odd to be at a pizza place that doesn't have breadsticks.

Stopped in on our way through Alexandria. Based on other Yelp reviews we decided to try Wildwood. It was great! Kickin Chicken pizza was tasty. Service was awesome!

Had the Mediterranean pizza and it was amazing! Family& friendly atmosphere. All of the vegetables were fresh & I opted for garlic instead of mushrooms, purely out of preference. I would highly recommend dining here instead of takeout pizza.

Enjoyed lunch here with my son. You can tell how fresh the ingredients are. I had the margherita and mt soon had the best. We both rally liked them. Great addition to Alexandria. Will definitely be back.

Just moved here and my search for a pizza joint is over! Wildwood Pizza simply blew me and my family away! Pizza was delicious, ingredients fresh, toppings perfect. I also like the simplified menu, one size pizza, and the speciality pies are BOSS! We got the BBQ pizza, Hawaiian, and the kids had cheese pizzas. Everybody was happy! Oh, and the roasted chicken salad was amazing! Fresh salad, homemade ranch dressing, simply amazing. Food was ready for pickup in 20 minutes (as promised). 10/10 will def be back!

My first time here, but I will definitely be back. I tried the chicken pesto pizza and it was delicious. Delicious crust was piled high with chicken, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms with Alfredo sauce and pesto. This is one of their specialty pizzas, of which they have several to choose from, or you can create your own toppings. Anxious to go back and try the porky' revenge.

Have eaten here several times and have enjoyed it every time. Porky's revenge is my personal favorite pizza. My kids love the kids cheese pizza. They cook the pizzas very fast with the wood fired oven. Friendly staff, go eat at Wildwood Pizza.

Very disappointing...not sure how anybody was ever impressed with this place. The staff is rude. I will not return. Pappa's on MacArthur is much better.

Great wood fired pizza and salads with a good list of fresh toppings. Service is fantastic, and they have created a nice atmosphere inside. I'd certainly recommend to a friend.

I have a long history of both eating and working with pizza. I found last night's pizza to be well worth the price and an exceptional value. I had the chicken pesto pizza along with a side salad. The salad was fresh and plentiful and the balsamic vinegarette was very good. However, they paled in comparison to the pizza. Fresh tasting with a crust done just right. Will definitely go back. One suggestion....use fresh mushrooms, not canned. I really like the taste and texture of a fresh mushroom on pizza.

Wood Oven Pizza is all they do and they do it well. The flavor is good and the ingredients taste fresh.

Outstanding wood-fired pizza joint. Pesto and olive oil both nice..wasn't crazy about the red sauce. Looking forward to going back.

I've been about 6 times since they opened and I LOVE their pizza! I should point out that I'm not a huge fan of pizza. But this is not ordinary pizza! I love the different sauce options they have instead of just marinara. The crust is the perfect hand-tossed thickness and the fire oven gives it a great flavor and texture. They have about 7 specialty pizzas, or you can create your own. The specialty pizzas are so good that I have not tried the create your own option yet. Of the specialty pizzas, I cannot say which one is my fave, however, I'm not crazy about The Beast; probably because it is more like traditional pizza --- marinara sauce and lots of meat. I really like the Chicken Pesto, Garden District (lots of garlic so avoid it if you're on a date ;) ),Mediterranean, and Margarita. If you like basil, ask for extra on the Margarita. As far as the pizza size goes, it's a little small for 2, but too big for most women. We usually get a side salad (the lime dressing is delish!) each and go ahead and get 2 different pizzas. Who can say no to leftover pizza?!?!?
