Excellent service! Amazing home cooked breakfast! Hometown cafe that made us feel like we were home.

I have only eaten their breakfast foods. When I was pregnant, I had to have their OMELETS on a daily basis but tried to only go get one once a week although I could eat one every day.

I came through town again, and again stopped here for breakfast. This time I ordered a two-egg combo with hashbrowns, ham and toast. The food was really good but boy was it slow. We waited about 45 minutes for our food. Now, admittedly, they were quite busy when we came in (which honestly I didn't expect at 9 o'clock on a Friday morning), and they were friendly and apologetic about the wait, but I was ready to eat my arm by the time it arrived. The prices are still good.

I spend a considerable amount of time traveling for business and always try to test some local flair. A friend recommended the Natchitoches meat pies. They were good, the service was pleasant, prices fair, and the atmosphere was casual.

Good food. Quick service. You get to choose from several specials of the day and then pick three sides and a roll or cornbread. You also get dessert with your meal. The food comes out nice and hot. On my first outing, I had the roast beef, which was thick cut, but nice and tender. I asked for them to put gravy on the roast beef. Got mashed potatoes and a couple of other sides with it. The sides were good. The cornbread was a bit dry. I noticed pork chops and shepard's pie were the other two specials that day (Monday). Went back on Wednesday and had the chicken fried steak with green lima beans, mac n cheese and turnip greens. Had rolls this time instead of cornbread. The rolls were fresh out of the oven and very soft and sweet. I'm normally not a big carb guy, but the rolls were pretty damn good. As far as dessert, the first time they gave me a small square of cake with frosting. The second time, it was chocolate pudding with cake mixed into it. They're only open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday and judging by the full dining room, I'd say they have a loyal following. The waitresses are busy, but friendly and they all call you sweetie and things like that with their southern accents. I plan to make this a regular place to have lunch.

Great little place for breakfast or lunch, as some of the others commented there are many locals who frequent this place and for good reason. You can't go wrong with breakfast or lunch at Red Kettle. Friendly staff and decent prices.

The menu is laminated one page. Breakfast on one side and lunch on the other. Closed weekends, hours are 0530 to 1330 M-F. Period. Absolutely the barest breakfast menu in the universe. Eggs, any which way. Omelettes of a minimal variety to include a western-style. Flapjacks short or tall. Three "meats"; ham, bacon of sausage. Seen hash brown taters and grits. My description of the menu ends here. I ordered a short stack with sausage. Flapjacks were fluffy and warm. Whipped spread in baby tubs. Syrup in a translucent squeeze bottle. Sausage straight off the Sysco truck. 2 discs naked in taste and small in size. That's enough about the breakfast. It real looks like this is the place for lunch. Daily specials which have a regional flair. I've included a snap of that section My mistake. Should have skipped breakfast and stopped in at after 1030 for the lunch.

I've been stopping in here for breakfast every time I'm in the area for the last 4 years. I have never had bad service or bad food.. I love the mom & pop places to eat & this place is just that. You can ask the regulars, after 2 times there you can tel who they are..

Except for the price of processed cheese food on my omelette, this was s great breakfast. Good service no hovering. Great biscuits.
