Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

First time In Alexandria. Here for work and spending all weekend in NOLA (seafood festival) so wanted something other than seafood. Went here based on reviews. Was skeptical with bright green building and 3 cars in lot but I was early -6pm. Nice decor inside and friendly staff. Steamed dumplings were great! Chicken pad Thai was just ok. Next time I would get sushi - it looked fantastic. 2 for 1 drinks! Very reasonably priced.

This is tied for my favorite restaurant in Alexandria. Speed of service is top notch. Presentation of food is second to none. Prices are worth it, and comparable to sushi restaurants in southern California. The sushi is always perfectly made. it doesn't fall apart before you get it in your mouth. The chinese dishes can be made spicy to order, and they're all delectable and savory. It's a quiet restaurant. I've never understood why it wasn't more popular. I guess here in the south if it isn't deep fried with 4+ legs it's not worth eating, perhaps? If you're in town, try this place out, it's just off the "main road" through alexandria, MacArthur, past highway 28. They have a liquor license, but i never partake. Try all the sushi, especially the ones with avocado or spicy tuna. their salmon is ok, tuna is good (sashimi or sushi), but their specialty rolls are really good. I've never ordered from the japanese menu. if you're hungry, "happy family" is sure to hit the spot. Honey chicken if you're in for a sweet and spicy meal, orange chicken or beef is also good. Their potstickers (fried wonton) appetizer comes out fast, and is hot and delicious. seriously. patronize this place.

I must admit that I was extreme hesitant to visit a sushi restaurant in Alexandria. However, having spent three weeks here I was pretty well sick of local flare. Driving up, I was nervous, but once inside, this restaurant is quite pleasant. It is clean and slightly up scaled--compared to other local facilities. The sushi was fresh and the staff was awesome... Even provided some sushi samplers on the house. The sushi chef is very talented and added a lot of art to his plating. It is worth visiting the photos in yelp for a few examples. I fully recommend this restaurant.

Chopstick is a winner! Staff are super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean, and attractively decorated. There was plenty of seating, including tables, a bar, and a sushi bar. The food was fresh and good. There's a large variety of menu items--from Chinese and Japanese cuisines. There are happy hour specials! Prices are reasonable. The experience was pleasant from start to finish. I'll definitely go back!

Slow and food is pretty disappointing. Miso soup was over done and I fear that everything will come out bland, we are getting the tempura udon... 40+ minutes for a simple dish such as this? Yessss, bland and no flavor.... Same thing with the shrimp and scallop teppanyaki. Totally over done and over seasoned. We are kinda meh. Definitely did debate an escape plan. Maybe the rolls are decent. Don't know....

Great prices, atmosphere, and most importantly food! Prices are beyond reasonable for fresh sushi. At lunch time a Bento box is only $8.50 and its a ton of delectable food. Menu is vast with options ranging from Pad Thai to Sashimi. Already planning a return trip. Two thumbs way up.

Tuna is always my gauge to judging a sushi restaurant. The Tuna Sashimi was sliced large yet thick enough to melt in your mouth. I ask for a special roll not on the menu, and the bar chef came through with flying colors! Notice the Dragon on the plate drawn with eel sauce!!
