Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Wow, 5 stars for sure I was driving through from Nola to Dallas, Starving. I yelped pizza and found this place. The previous reviews are for sure. This is the best pizza I've tasted! I called ahead told them I was about an hour away, they said they would wait so it would be warm & fresh when I picked it up. The ladies working were very nice and I was in & out. Clean bathroom too. Ill be back on my next road trip through here! A diamond in the rough for sure

I have yet to find another pizza place I enjoy quite as much as BJ's. Definitely an Alexandria "gem" that I crave while living away. I do so love the long, rectangular slices perfectly piled with toppings on a thin crust. Heaven, I tell ya. Personally, I prefer half pepperoni/half hamburger or sausage, but the Full House is definitely a great choice if you like a myriad of toppings--olives, green onions, etc. Brings back childhood memories every time I bite into a piece--and something I request when visiting. Two thumbs way up:)

My order: * Delivery * 12 Pizza- hand Tossed- with Sausage and Green pepper * 8pc Hot wings Before I even get to the food.. - The Online ordering works...but that's about it. The website looks like a kid designed it... so it's choppy, but you can get through it. -No Blue Cheese or Ranch included in the Hot Wing order - Usually at least one is included with a Wing order at every other place across the nation I have ordered from. This should be clearly stated on the webpage followed by a link to: " add to order". Okay, lets get to the food.. -The wings were awful! They were over-fried and tasted like leather. Halfway through the second wing, I threw the remaining in the garbage...ugh...nasty (gag!) - Pizza was OK people. JUST OK if the best pizza you have eaten is Pizza Hut, Dominoes, Papa Johns, Little Caesars or similar, I feel sorry for your taste buds... But it's average. - Why is my pizza cut into strips? This is not fun or unique... it's not cheesy bread, it's pizza. Theirs a reason why everyone else in the world cuts pizza into triangles and/or squares. Because it is the best way to handle a piece. Lets get on that bandwagon. - The order was timely and the delivery girl seamed pleasent.

Great, original pizza, not like the other pizza chains. I always get full house, no anchovies.

BJ's is tastier than Little Caesar's or Dominoes, though I wish they delivered later than 11pm. The way the pizza is sliced (longways) is nice little personal touch, and the crust is thin and crunchy. Tried their spaghetti and house salad once, and was pleasantly shocked at how good it was. There's a good lunch buffet if you feel like dining in.

If this pizza is the best in CenLa, then yall are in trouble, I am sorry to say. The lunch buffet is a good deal, but the best part is the salad bar, which isn't even that great. I almost always choose local businesses over chains but after trying this place several times my husband and I switched to Dominos. Which is saying a lot because we do not LOVE Dominos. I think people in the area do love BJs because it always busy and if you do not know good NY style or even delicious Chicago style pizza then you probably do think this is good pizza.

Okay, okay. It's better than chain pizza joints. I travel...A LOT. I always look for non-chain places to eat. Here's my down low on BJ's in Alexandria, LA. First, I am a trip advisor fan so don't judge me by how many reviews I have on Yelp. The pizza is made from canned and frozen ingredients. Nothing about the pizza is fresh or local. Is itgood with some beer while watching ESPN in some hotel room? Yes. Do I feel like the owner has tried deligently to create something unique? No. This pizza could be made by a teenager shopping at the local grocery store, (skipping the fresh vegetable isle). My advise, choose local veggies and charge an extra two bucks for the pizza. I chalk this one up to non-educated and unmotivated owners.

Once again, Jeremy B bashing local restaurants and advocating for chains. Domino's, Jeremy? Are you kidding me? Get the hell out of town if you don't like BJ's. This is the best pizza in all of Cenla! Rumors are that a disgruntled employees broke away from Johnny's Pizza out of Monroe and started BJ's (Better than Johnny's) Slices are longways and the crust is perfectly thin. Lunch buffet is incredible and a great deal. Get the Full House and don't listen to anything Jeremy B says

The pizza at BJ's is NOT as good as Dominos, however, it's still good. The only real difference between the pizza here is instead of being cut into triangle slices...the pizza is cut into long rectangle slices. There is also a lunch buffet. The inside has a few televisions are arcade games. The inside is actually kinda spooky and dark...they need a good updating!!! SADLY, this place charges for a glass of WATER!!!! Are they crazy???
