Stopped in here about 10:30 on a Friday morning after walking the main drag and through the courthouse. I had a strong espresso and large strawberry white chocolate muffin and sat at a table in the front where I could look out onto the street and passersby. I had to get a second espresso because I wanted to relax there a bit more a and needed more caffeine. I probably spent $7, which was worth every penny. Friendly prompt staff, strong coffee, scrumptious muffin, good WiFi, comfortable design, and a quality view. If I return to Winchester, I'lol drop in again.

Went for early evening coffee & music; a great venue for local artists to play & sing. Excellent experience....and great coffee & crowd!

I love stopping in to get coffee any time I am in Winchester. My first visit here was last year during the beer cheese festival, and I loved the great atmosphere and coffee was great. I was back in town a couple of weeks ago shopping with my mother, and I wanted to take her here. We sat and had pour-over coffees, and shared a slice of cheesecake. It was a great mid- morning snack break and the service was great and friendly. Will definitely be back again!

Great cafe in the heart of downtown Winchester. This place is spacious with plenty of seating yet still has that comfortable and cozy feeling to it. The baristas were extremely nice and the twisted turkey panini was fantastic. Just a great welcoming vibe here.

Look. I walked in at 2:25 pm and asked for a cappuccino. The kids (18? 19?) running the shop had already closed down the store and were unwilling. I'm not even sure why they let me in if they were planning to close 35 minutes early. When I asked why they were closing early, they said they weren't expecting a lot of people today. I guess the manager wasn't in supervising today.

When visiting in town today, decided to give this place a try for lunch. My son ordered a grilled sandwich/chips and a muffin. I ordered the soup of the day and a turkey and cheese sandwich. I specifically asked for wheat bread and no mayo. The order came out piecemeal and when my sandwich came it was on white. I asked for them to remake it on wheat, reminding her of mustard instead of mayo. My son's food finally came out. Then my sandwich came back out with wheat, mayo, and no mustard. I asked for a knife to scrape off the mayo. That took forever, I just used so my son's fork to scrape but ended up only eating half of the sandwich, the part didn't have mayo. My son enjoyed his and I liked my soup. I think they need more attentive staff who can actually pay attention to what the customer asks for.

Love this spot. Whenever I'm in Winchester, I make sure to stop here. Great coffee, food, and friendly service! The quiche and breakfast souffle are both excellent.

This recently addition to downtown Winchester offers a variety of deli and cafe items. They have hot and cold sandwiches, desserts, coffee, tea, ice cream, and smoothies. They have a small stage area for live music and a fireplace. Probably really cozy when the weather is cold. Friendly staff and service. Worth a trip. I had the Italian Panini. It was really good.

The Cairn is a great little coffee shop in the heart of downtown Winchester. They have all your usual coffee needs, plus lots of little sandwiches, soups, side dishes, and baked goods. I came in for lunch with my parents and ended up ordering the Tempesto, which is a panini-pressed grilled cheese with tomato, mozzarella, and pesto. The bread was perfect, not too crispy, yet not soggy. I really enjoyed the pesto too. The sandwich came with a side of salt and pepper kettle chips, which are always a hit. Looking at the menu after I left, I'm really kicking myself for not ordering The Hot Mess, which is a panini with American cheese, beer cheese, pepperoni, bacon, and crushed grippos bbq chips. I blame my parents for rushing along my order, but they paid, so whatcha gonna do? I'll be trying that one for sure next time. I'm not much of a coffee person, but I tried my mom's latte, and it was really good! I would probably order one of those too, but having Ale-8 on fountain always takes priority. The decor is very nice. They have a lot of thin horizontal stone, which is a favorite of mine. There's a big fireplace in the center of the dining area, which was great since it was about 5 degrees outside. They also have a plethora of board games on a coffee table (get it?) that you can play with. Apparently the bathrooms are nice too, nice enough for my mom to take pictures of apparently. I didn't use them, so I can't vouch for that directly. The staff here is super friendly too. The girl that took our order was nice as can be, and the guy who brought out our food and took our dishes away was very happy to see that we had enjoyed everything. If you're in the area and love a good coffee, sandwich, or baked good, check this place out!

Local little coffee shop in the heart of downtown Winchester. They have a great casual atmosphere in a relaxing environment. Some what reminds me of a ski lodge with big leather couches/chairs and a huge open fire place. They are usually quite packed and I think have live music from time to time or open mic night. Their coffee, from what I had, is quite tasty. I haven't had any of their foods, but if its anything like their coffee you will love it.

My ridiculous complex latte I usually order is seriously better here than I have had from coffee shops around the eastern US! Today I decided to stop by and have a lunch rather than a drink on the go. The tompesto was so good (tomato, cheese & pesto panini) and they had vegetarian veggie soup that would put any place in Lexington shame. We are so lucky to have this place in Winchester!! I can't wait to take visiting friends here for some coffee and bites. Can't wait to try some of the yummy desserts on display!!!!
