This restaurant was delicious. The biscuits were very fluffy and on point. We have been looking for a home cooking place and we were not disappointed.

This was the best homemade breakfast I've had in a long time. The service was friendly and fast. The bacon and biscuits and gravy were the highlight of the meal. I got that along with two eggs and hash browns for $6.99. Not a bad deal!

They have a Limited Menu plus a daily special . Today's special was butterfly shrimp. After seeing another table with the special , we decided against it in appearance alone . The three of us shared catfish , a chili dog and a deluxe hamburger. The catfish was some of the best I've had. A lite crunchy cornmeal crust and white meaty fish inside. The fried cornbread was exceptional! The hush puppies lacked in taste and texture . The slaw was average and the French fries were crinkle cut and cooked just right . The chili dog was extremely good with a homemade chili on top . They had several toppings to choose from for your hot dog ,which was nice. The deluxe hamburger was good but nothing to brag about. We were disappointed in the limited selections , but the catfish , fried cornbread and chili dog made up for our disappointment . As for dessert , they only had one option. It was cherry cobbler . The portion was generous but nothing spectacular .

Callie's delivered a dose of home cooking before flying out of the Lexington Airport. Because I couldn't help myself, I had a cup of soup beans and a veggie omelette. Did I mention that they have cornbread pancakes? If you're in the are, this is a great place to fill up your belly.

After landing in Louisville and driving to a meeting in Lexington we passed all of the usual suspects...Mc Donald's, Subway, Abrys and so on. Being a couple of city slickers we decided to pop into this Mom and Pop shop for a good ol' fashioned country lunch. Well worth the stop! We both got the special of the day - chicken fried steak with beans and potatoes. I think the price was like $7.99...very affordable for fresh, homemade food. Can't say I will be in the area again, but if business brings me here again I will stop on in again to see the friendly staff and enjoy the country food. Pics attached.

Great home style food. Salad was fresh, chili was thick and meaty. Ribeye sandwich was great also. Restaurant is Clean and staff friendly. Glad I stopped and will be back for breakfast.

My mother suggested we go here for dinner because of the fish, and I was not disappointed! I ordered a fish platter, and the fish (perch or haddock, I think) was lightly breaded and flaky. It was amazing. For $6.99, you got two fish filets (sizeable, too), fries, cole slaw and hush puppies. I had a side of butter beans, which was $1.99 and came with a corn cake (haven't had one of those since my grandmother used to make those all the time). There's an art to eating butter beans--I wasn't a fan, but my mother liked them as she kept adding more butter (isn't that always the trick?). Callie's also has a hot dog stand, and there are decent offerings on the kids' menu. I might try to get a fish sandwich for the road before I leave...
