Burgers
Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
McDonalds is the most popular fast food burger restaurant serving different types of burgers in the United States. On the other hand, there are several restaurants such as Burger King are famous for serving the best hamburgers in the United States. Most burger restaurants in the United States often serve hamburgers with French fries and other condiments. If you have a liking for burgers in the United States, then you won't be disappointed. So delicious! The burger was cooked to perfection and their specialty relish and chipotle mayo were amazing!

Probably the best burgers you can get in the Union area. I expect this restaurant to continue doing well because there aren't many good burger restaurants around Union and it has a great location. The burger I ordered came out hot and juicy. Normally I don't like burgers but the burger I got from this place actually appealed to me. The atmosphere is pretty good, and service is decent. Overall, I had a good experience at this restaurant and I will be back again.

The burgers are good, bartenders are outstanding and knowledgable about their tap selection. Be sure to give your fries a squirt with some of their pepper sauce... I'll put that $hit on anything.

I was excited to try this place the next time I visited my family in Northern KY after reading about it in the Huffington Post - I mean, how often do you see a restaurant in Union, KY mentioned in a national article? We arrived for an early Thursday evening dinner. We started with the beer cheese appetizer, which was a dip of warm spicy cheese served with soft pretzel bites. I thought it was pretty good although as others have mentioned, the amount of cheese is relatively small. I had the "Swiss Bliss" burger, which was pretty good with a lot of Swiss cheese. However the requested "medium rare" was not achieved. The burger was overdone with almost no pink left in the middle. My side of grilled mac n cheese was edible, but not recommended. Mom got the "Flipdaddy" burger. She requested it "medium well" and it seemed to be cooked correctly. Her burger came with a rather large serving of just OK fries -- a little too salty. Dad ordered a cup of their soup of the day (Chop House potato I believe), which was a smallish portion, and an appetizer of buffalo chicken wings. They were both OK. This place is known for beer, but we didn't try any. The burger I had was decent but nothing to get excited about. I did think the prices were more than fair, but that's my perspective as someone that lives in Los Angeles. Service was very friendly and there is (of course) ample parking. Not a place I'd rush back to but if you enjoy beer and a decent burger, it's worth checking out if you're near Union.

I dropped in here randomly to check our the "Craft Beer Bar". It was amazing! I wish I had the chance to check out the food as well! The craft beer list had stuff like Oberon's, Self-righteous and a few other unique selections. I am definitely going back.

Wow. Not much here. My wife and I visited Flipdaddy's yesterday and were disappointed with this restaurant atmosphere, food and service. The Flipdaddy burger was not much at all, especially for the money. Not much flavor, except for the pickle. The pickle was good. The service was the worst part of the trip.... the server was rude, very rushed. When it came time to receive the check, she smacked it down on the table, barked it was 16.50, and took my credit card away without even showing me the ticket, turned away and left. My wife and I looked at at each other and thought that she must have given up on our table a long time ago. The Wedge Salad was weak and did not have much flavor. Sweet potato fries are dusted with cinnamon and had a had a small container of sweet sauce that I think we were supposed to try with the fries. Didn't go well.

Great burger, terrible service. My husband and I went for lunch today he had the blackened bayou burger, I had the paesano burger - we enjoyed both very much! Unfortunately the service lacked in attentiveness, once our food arrived to the table our server was nowhere to be found. She did not check on us, so we sat with drinks empty halfway through the meal. After we finished our food we had to flag down a different server and ask him to send ours over so we could get the check. Most disappointing about it all was the restaurant wasn't busy, we were one of 3 tables (each with their own server) which makes it difficult to excuse the service.

Given some of the other reviews complaining of small portions I was expecting something barely larger than a slider to show up when I ordered a burger. What showed up wasn't the 1lb double gutbomb supreme, but I left feeling plenty full, although I'll happily admit I am not a big guy and maybe others eat a lot more than I do. I care much more that the burger tastes good, and the Black and Tan I got was very good. The rest of my family seemed happy with theirs too, and they do have kids' meals which came with some ice cream for dessert and were a pretty decent deal. The beer selection was great, plenty to choose from. I'm happy this placed opened out in Union, and will be going back.

Wow. Great food! The service was good- we had made a reservation since we had a big group. Our waitress was awesome! All the orders were correct, and we didn't have to wait forever to be served, even on a busy Friday night. One thing I want to make clear is that the prices are... a bit high for a burger joint. We ordered an app for a few people at our table. We got the buffalo chicken dip. It was very good, but it was $10- there was a small cup of dip surrounded by tortilla chips. Like I said, the dip was good, but $10? That's too much for a small app like that. Now for the burger. I shared the Chuck Norris with my hubs- they cooked the burger perfectly, and split it into two and delivered us both a plate with fries. It was very tasty. I always appreciate when they will accommodate splitting up a dish. The beer selection is great! I don't recall if they were particularly expensive, but I'll pay for good beer so I don't have to choke down crappy beer. The prices were a bit of a turn off, but there's more to dining out than the price. Good service, well cooked food, and good beer is something I'm willing to pay a big extra for. Flibdaddy's is a great family restaurant, and a place I will surely be returning to!

I made an account to write this review. A little info about myself, I have lived and worked in Northern Kentucky area at several restaurants (Tumbleweed, Red Lobster, Five Guys), I also worked at El Coyote in Cincinnati. I visited the Union location with my mother because she has been wanting to try it and craved a good burger. At first glance, both the interior and exterior are great improvements to what was once a Blockbuster video store, it had maybe 10 cars in the parking lot for Sunday lunch at about 1:30. The host was not up front he was checking on something for another guest, which is understandable, so the bartender greeted and sat us at a two top where she could serve us. Having been a server trainer at nearly every restaurant I've worked at, I have my own compulsive criticisms about service when dining out. This being said, the service was fine, I always suggest asking if a guest had been in before as this opens the guest up and allows you to form a strategy of how to make the experience. My mother ordered the Attack of the Fried Green Tomato and I had the Chuck Norris, which was anything but a roundhouse kick to the face. From first sight, I was critically disappointed to see pickled Jalapenos as "Jalapeno compote", when even Kroger has fresh Jalapenos for like 10c a piece. The "secret spicy sauce" was chipotle or chile mayo (aioli) and honestly smothered the bun, I had to remove most. Which brings me to the paramount insult, the beef. I worked at Five Guys as a manager in Crestview for a little under a year, and it is truly the only restaurant I can say I was never ashamed to serve anything. Nothing stays in store for more than 2 days at maximum, and the fresh beef is made into patties and used only for that day, never carried over. Without going on too much of a tangent for Five Guys, what this means is that there is no excuse for using frozen meat when it is so easily identified, and a signature sign of laziness. Someone may refute that they cannot justify paying the labor to prep earlier, or that they do not have the business to hand make that many patties and to them I would say - your guy on the line can hand form a damn patty on the fly and should be proud to do so instead of using a frozen embarrassment, I mean, you are monopolizing on the BURGER. In addition, a very important note on cooking meat - NO color (char), NO flavor. In closing, the men's restroom stall door got stuck on me and I had to pry it open good thing some poor old fella didn't go in there. This review is not intended to be damaging, I hope you take this as constructive criticism and use fresh beef and fresh veg, and stop focusing on PB&J, mac n cheese burgers and have something beautiful in its simplicity - you won't need phony gimmicks or a building remodel. Ps: These prices are INSANE, and the owners and management know that its a travesty. I think back to one of best pieces of restaurant insight I ever heard: I wish the prices were more reasonable, because I could come once a week instead of once a month or once a year.

Trying hard to be a good patron but there are some issues that need to be addressed. Beer menu is not updated to what's on tap. Getting tired of "we don't have that anymore". NCAA tournament not on any of the screens tonight. And the last couple of Sundays I was there they turned people away 15 min before closing. Not a good trend in my eyes.

Awesome place!! I was skeptical coming here because I wasnt that hungry after eating a late lunch and I knew I would order more than I could eat.. Especially with drinking too! I'm glad I did!! I ordered the colossus burger which is two patties and a giant onion ring on top of all the regular toppings- the biggest burger on the menu- and I ate every bite! It was so delicious I couldn't put it down. The fries were excellent- they were seasoned to perfection and crispy like all good fries should be. I usually don't eat the little end/skin ones but I couldn't help it- they were great! The beer menu is extensive and the staff knows each one.. Any questions were answered with ease and true knowledge. The beer came quick and cold and went down quick. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves a burger or matching up delicious appetizers to a wide variety of beer!!

Took the family here the other day. We had a great time and a good meal. They have Angry Orchard on draft, so that was a plus. My wife and I both got burgers. I got the El Paso and it was delicious. The burger was nice and juicy. The toppings were yummy too. I didn't particularly care for the French fries though. They were ok, no offensive, but not outstanding. We will definitely be back.

Hit this place at about 1p for some lunch. Not your typical burger joint. Anybody that carries a burger named the "Chuck Norris" is going fancy on your @$ $ but its not trying as hard as Red Robin so cool. Hardly anybody there after the lunch hour so it was nice and quiet. Our server suggested fried pickles. Holy smokes they were good! The burger itself was tasty as the bun definitely added something to the mix. So raise your pinky and dig a littler deeper in your pocket as Flipdaddy's doesn't serve a happy meal but they do serve a little bit of taste.

Went to Flipdaddy for the 2nd time, first time was for lunch. It was fair, portions are meager . 2nd time went for dinner. My husband and I ordered the fish sandwich for $9.99 expecting a decent size sandwich, wrong, the sandwich was more like a kids portion, looked like a large frozen fish stick. It was dry and served on a cheap hamburger bun. The chicken noodle soup was good, I ordered a cup size but they served me and my husband 1/2 of the cup. Summing this up, the atmosphere is very nice, the service is Ok, the prices are average, the portions don't equal the price you are paying, and the other competition in the area is better. I would only go there for drinks and pass on the food. Hopefully the owners will read these reviews and make necessary changes.

Four of us dined here for dinner tonight. We were all very happy with the burgers and the fries were very good and seasoned nicely. None of us are beer drinkers so I can't comment on that. But the waiter was very pleasant and kept our drinks filled and gave us a lot of input when we had questions about the menu. We also felt that it was reasonably priced. We will definitely return.
(4)Andy R.
Have eaten here twice. My boy loves the winds. The burgers are tasty but a bit small. I prefer mine grilled with a hint of char. I think these are steamed. Very good choice of beers. On the fence on this place.
(3)Jamie B.
It's supposed to a burger bar- they have tons of different toppings for their burgeres and ask how you want them cooked- of the 4 of us we had one medium well, one well done and 2 medium rare-why do they bother asking I am sure these are prefrozen patties and they are all cooked the same- they tasted like frozen medium well done patties- at least Drakes admits alll their burgers are medium well done, The sweet potato fries are sugary and cinnamony- the manager was nice enough to get me plain ones.I was very disappointed- I rarely eat burgers- but thought this was a "Burger" place andf I can get a good burger but- it's just a step up from McDonalds. Wine list unremarkable. TV's everywhere. Won't be going back. None of the 4 us was the least bit impressed.

My wife & I went here on a very busy Saturday night & were seated in only 5 minutes after being warned of a 25 minute wait. The beer selection is amazing & our server (Ryan) was a super cool dude that knew the beers well & helpful in making the selections. The sampler is a good call to try several of the brews at once. The food was good, but I do think a little over priced. The $10 buffalo chicken dip appetizer, although very tasty, came in a really small cup with about 20 'bag quality' tortilla chips. The "Chuck Norris" burger was good & cooked perfectly. The fries were also good & crispy. My wife upgraded to "grilled" mac & cheese which was worth the $2 up-charge. On that topic, almost any change you want (turkey burger, etc.) is a $2 up-charge, which takes a $10 burger almost out of comfort realm. Ultimately, we both really enjoyed the place until the bill came & that is why this will be a rare treat for us rather than a regular stop. Unless you're a prude, ask for Ryan; he made our night fun, but we're young & cool too. ;)

Great food ! Not terrible prices burgers are awesome my son 14 asks all the time to go here. We always ask to sit at TJ TABLES GREAT WAITER !! He remembers our order from last time we went several times and is personable ,drinks never go empty !!

Everything we tried was great! They have good beer selection as well. Had the quesadilla to start and a burger for dinner. This was enough food of two! Will definitely go back.
(5)Alex L.
We enjoy going to Flipdaddy's every once in a while, but the food is more expensive than it should be in our opinion. However, the food is pretty good. I always get the MacDaddy Burger and love it. It's definitely a lot better than the Blockbuster that used to be there.
(3)Mary S.
I love their unique burger combinations! I've had a few already and have enjoyed all of them! They also have a nice selection of Craft Beer!
(4)Tina B.
Flipdaddy's is one of our favorite places to go. The food is top quality and delicious. Service and atmosphere are also excellent. Please try the Chicken Quesadilla - it's one of our favorites. My kids love their burgers. I sometimes get the make your own salad and add the spicy veggie burger on it. Amazing! My husband loves their club sandwich and their fried chicken salad. Even though they are known for their variety of beers, they make a nice mixed drink as well (not watered down like some places). We are so lucky to have such a great restaurant right outside our neighborhood!
(5)Jen B.
I love Flipdaddy's! I always go with the jack Daniels burger or chick Norris and start with a wedge salad! They have so many options and great beer! This is a fun place to meet family or friends!
(5)Jon W.
Good service at the bar. Nice selection of beers on tap. Burgers are good. Quality. The environment can get loud on a Friday night so it may not be the spot for a family or a date night unless you enjoy the bar scene and then... It's not really a bar.
(4)Gretchen T.
Oh my gosh! Found this gem off of Yelp, and boy am I glad I did! Hubby had a cheeseburger with fries. Sneaked a taste of both and they were awesome. I had the Chuck Norris Turkey Panini with their homemade chips. Wow! The CNT is green chili's with provolone & sauce. It definitely had a kick! So good! They need this restaurant in Texas! We'll surely be back in our future trips to KY.

Had a really nice experience here for #CincinnatiBurgerWeek. Came with my mom, wife and 2 sons. No trouble parking or getting a seat on a Saturday evening - but not that it wasn't busy. There's just a lot of seating! The service we had was wonderful, which is saying something for a busy weekend and $5 burgers. Also, I couldn't believe, but the $5 deal was good with a side dish - fries or saratoga chips. We ordered both, both were excellent. I got the Chuck Norris, which was more than your average "spicy" burger that comes with some jalapeno cheese. This had the cheese, a green sauce, and an awesome spicy mayo on top, with actual cut jalapenos in the burger. It was messy, spicy, and fantastic! Went down great with a Madtree Psychopathy (which the beer on tap is the other big plus of trying this place out). Normally, the burger was $10.99, I think. Which, is a little pricey for a burger, but I would be back here. As I mentioned, the service was great - friendly, prompt, good recommendations. The manager was on top of it as well. The booth was great for little kids - lots of space and you're not cramped in with the other diners. Lots of TVs, so kids' noise is not that bothersome. Had a really good experience and will return.

Chandra Biggs and Mary Ann was extremely unhelpful at the corporate level. Order labor law posters and refuse to pay.

Some of you guys are brutal! Just had a great meal at Flipdaddy's with our family. The Mac Daddy burger was outstanding. My burger was cooked medium well, and the side of fries were unique and tasty. The majority of the rotating beer menu was available. There were a number of craft beer options I hadn't heard of, which is a plus to me. Tough to choose based merely on a description, so I had our waitress ask the bartender for their favorite IPA. I was not disappointed. The beer, by the way, was served in a pint glass... Northern Kentucky doesn't have too many places like this. Highly recommended and family friendly enough if you need to bring a little one.
(5)Ryan M.
Just left here.. Most likely now one of the worst experiences I have ever had.. Burger was trash never offered me a refund.. Kept asking if I wanted another burger.. The fuck.. Why would I want you to make me another burger of the same quality.. 0 stAr if I could.. suck my ass

Great place to have a beer or 2, a good burger, great salads, cool new menu. For kids and adults alike.
(4)Melinda Y.
My family and I decided to try out Flipdaddy's for lunch one Sunday. We were seated promptly and the service was good. The food was good, I got the bean me up scotty veggie burger. It was tasty, but I had to pay extra for a side salad instead of fries. The only decent veggie options were salad or asparagus. Where are the mixed veggies? Any side besides fries or chips is an upcharge. My husband got the sunny side up burger I believe it was, and mac & cheese. He said it was good. Kids meals are all $7, which is a bit steep for a kids meal. They do include a drink and kids ice cream though. My kids got mac & cheese and cheeseburgers. It looked pretty good and they ate it. The food was good, but overpriced. 2 adults and two kids were $50 with tip for lunch. That was with ordering water to drink. Add a soda or beer and you are looking at even more.
(4)Jonathan M.
great place to take the family , go watch a game with friends, or a date with a spouse. The atmosphere allows it all. The food and service was EXCELLENT!
(4)Greg K.
flip daddy's is gross and greasy. The hamburgers taste like they're of the heat and eat variety. They do make for a nice laxative though.
(1)Michael B.
I ordered a burger (the Chuck Norris) without bun, a side of asparagus, and a Coke Zero. After I left a $3 tip, I had spent $20. Very little food for the money. The food, regardless of the ridiculously small portion sizes, was very good. Usually when I order a burger without a bun at one of these burger joints, they put the beef on a nice bed of lettuce or something. Not these guys. The patty came out sitting on a tiny bit of shredded lettuce. It wasn't a big deal, but I would've figured that an upscale burger joint would have had a nicer "no bun" presentation than Burger King.
(2)Jenny W.
Great burgers, cooked perfectly, and good service.
(5)Rose B.
Yummy! And they do trivia night on Wednesdays but the could put more into the production.
(4)Bob L.
I called in for a pick up order of a mushroom Swiss burger. I arrived the burger was ready. Excellent. The price 11.65. It was not Kobi beef. How is a mushroom Swiss burger 11.65? Just saying. 11.65 for a hamburger.
(1)Chris P.
I love Flipdaddy's. Now, keep in mind, that has been based on the Ohio locations. Both our burgers tonight in the 859 were "Flippin' awesome"! Please pardon the pun. The sweet fries were great - much better than the typical freezer-fare, even if these too came from the freezer. The bill can add up, but that's with any really good burger these days. Oh yea, the quesadilla was great, too -- fresh, flavorful, stuffed & crispy.

Diner from Cincinnati Joined Dec 2013 Average at Best Diner Review * Dec 01, 2013 Checked in Edit FD's is new to my neighborhood. We were excited to see a new dining option in the area--much needed. We went last night and happy to see lots of cars (Sat night). The 2 of us were seated quickly in very large booth [for 6]. Server knew his beer info but I had to wait for hubby to peruse the 1 drink menu. 2 wines I wanted to order were by the bottle only; I settled for a so-so sauvignon blanc from CA when I wanted NZ. One burger at a time: French Connection w/huge glob of boursin and similar smear of aioli (mmm, that's Italian, FD). Flavor fight! I removed half of each condiment--wish I'd asked for a plain bun replacement top. Crispy onions were nice but served on the aioli- slimed bun which sogged them quickly. Burger was overcooked (server didn't ask my preference). MacDaddy: Glommy slab of mac/cheese that smacked of velveeta and over- baked creamettes on a burger (also well-done). Mac was tasteless--who decided that was good? I'm sorry for them! Pretzel bun was pretty darned good, tho. For a signature burger, it really needs serious resuscitation or permanent retirement. Sides: I got large onion rings for upcharge and hubby got standard fries. Fries looked like the bottom of the bag frozen minis (not one longer than 2") and were seasoned with something as mundane as Lawry's Seasoned Salt--gritty and super salty. My onion rings were overcoated and underfried. Skip the sides--or skip the burgers and just drink beer. Funny thing is that the chipotle mayo for onion rings was outstanding! Super-disappointed with FD's. I will call the restaurant to tell them to read this review. Same will be posted on urbanspoon. People need to know this was not a good experience. We spent nearly $40 and we both wished we'd gone to Steak and Shake on Mt Zion Road. Take out would have been better than FlipDaddy's. PS--we also had a server loudly chatting w/a guy in the seat behind us. She was sitting down with him in the middle of service.
